Simms directed me to their West location of The River's Edge- across from the Simms Production Facility. We were greeted upon entry, but were given time and space to openly browse, which we always appreciate. All of the staff were warm and friendly. We asked for assistance to explore and try on various waders. I forewarned them that it was going to be quite the adventure. The salesman Jack, was totally awesome!!!! He took the time to listen to my positive 30 year history with my custom Simms waders as well as my current needs and preferences. This was not a 911, as my waders are still performing. It was more of a proactive possible purchase visit. Jack was extremely knowledgable, patient, and committed to helping me. He knows the product line and referenced the posted size charts. He remained personable and did not grow weary despite the number of waders he retrieved and repackaged. Jack also had me try on the available sample neoprene footies in various sizes. At his suggestion, we brought in both pairs of my wading boots. Sorry about the dried up gravel :0). With Jack's full support, I was able to leave with a pair of woman's G3 waders feeling fully satisfied that I was given the time, patience and attention that I needed. I am a very grateful lady!

They generally have a decent ski department in…read morethe Winter, Good hunting and fishing supply, and good warm and cold weather apparel selection. They have a wide selection at reasonable prices. It is a Montana owned shop, they often have good sales and in general can satisfy many of the sporting needs of Montana Families. Even their binoculars/ spotting scopes/optics and reloading departments are reasonably well stocked. They may not have the best selection in every area but they give a good effort. Their staff is generally young and not terribly experienced but they seem to generally be enthusiastic and they try to be helpful and friendly. You may have to go to specialty shops occasionally but Bob Wards has been supplying Montanans with good value in Sporting Goods for all of my 61 years as far I know and they deserve your consideration. About 8 years ago when it was nearly impossible to find Made in America items anywhere, I found a pair of child's pac boots for a grandkid of high quality and Made in the US! That alone deserves respect! Give them a try!
