Right in the heart of Bozeman, how cool!…read more I was up early on a Monday morning and wanted to take a little wander around before a longer morning hike. Decided to wander up here, and am happy I did. Granted, the clouds were pretty low this morning, so I'm not sure I got the full effect, but it was still neat. The only thing that was concerning is there was one off leash dog that was a little scary -- it made it so I couldn't do the loop around; it was snarling and offputting. Besides that: nice to see so many active people in the morning. When the weather is cooperative, this is a great little spot right in the heart of town. 2026: 45/2026

Cherry River Fishing Access trail is out on the north side of MT-205 Frontage Rd, east of MT-412 19th Ave. There's a small parking lot by a circular path about half-a-mile-long. FYI, there's an outhouse in the parking lot. At the far end, there's a path that breaks off to the river, but we were there just for a sunset stroll. The wildflowers and the twilight mountain views were quite lovely. We walked the circle in 15 or 20min.
