This was a fun outing for me as I've never been to a German restaurant despite being of some German heritage. We had a group of 8. I ordered the cheese schnitzel...whatever it's actually called. It was rich and really delicious! I loved the potatoes that were pan fried but didnt love my spaetzle as it was the least of the shining stars for me. The host was really nice and interesting to talk to. We got to pick 2 songs on the accordion as well. It was a neat evening with friends!

Cute ambiance. Staff were so friendly it felt like we were at grandmas for dinner. Food was delicious but that berry dessert was over the top amazing! Plenty of parking in their lot. Excited to go back for brunch with Santa in December!

It's been awhile since I've been to Oktoberfest here. It was a very nice afternoon and not crowded. The beer and food were very good.

It was....fine. It was our first time back since the new owners took over. We had the feeling of being rushed through the meal. We had a reservation which was good because the place was packed. (We had a group of 6). It's just everything felted pressured and hurried. The food was... ok. No one's were particularly hot. It was all... fine. We went for my birthday and the accordion player did play for me which was nice, but that was really the highlight of the evening. Not that great of service, not particularly amazing food. We were so excited to come back and it was.... Fine. Sadly I don't think we will be racing to return. Attached parking lot. Accessible entrance.

We stopped in for a late lunch after seeing the country side. Lovely atmosphere, waitress was attentive and friendly. Food was wonderful. We had the chef lunch special of schnitzel topped with an egg with potato salad. The rostbratin with potato's looked so gravy, plentiful was great too. Lunch was a nice treat to have half the dish fir half the price. A glass of Beer complimented lunch. Loved the patio on a beautiful day, but e did stroll inside to take a peek. A great experience, great food and a great stop. Best wishes to our server, a future dental team menber!

Another wonderful experience at the Gasthaus celebrating my father in laws bday! The cherry on top was the accordion player...he was awesome! Thank you for making his bday soooo special and having such delish and authentic German fare.

We meet our family here to celebrate our daughters birthday last night. It has been closed for some time and I think there are new owners. It was quite busy when we arrived luckily we had a reservation. We enjoyed the accordionist he played all sorts of music from christmas to childrens songs. Our grandsons loved the music thank you! The food wasnt as good as we have had in the past. We also felt rushed but we tried not to let is bother us. The server wasnt as attentive as usual. She never came back to see if the food was right and we had to ask for water and dessert. We did have a nice time.

We came here for dinner and to celebrate our daughters birthday. We had a nice time. Just a bit disappointed in the food and service. It was ok but our waitress never came back to see if the food was ok, we had to ask for water, just seemed like we were being rushed out. It is not an inexpensive place so we wanted to enjoy our selves. We did really enjoy the accordionist he was get with our grandsons singing songs they knew. We did have a nice time.

Parking can be tricky; there's not really a lot here, so you have to get lucky with the street. Staff are great here. They are always fun to chat with and will make recommendations if you need them. On our most recent venture here, I tried the spaetzle. Hubs had a burger and got the beer cheese soup. I had a bite of the soup and it was so good. The spaetzle was a little plain, but so tasty. You gotta try a beer here too. I had the hefeweizen, which I loved. Definitely stop in the summer and enjoy the patio if you have the opportunity.

While I can appreciate the effort and the atmosphere, the food just did not quite hit the mark for me personally. The dishes felt more American influenced than traditionally German, and overall they lacked some of the authenticity and flavors I associate with Bavarian and Franconian cuisine. Unfortunately, we did not really enjoy the food as much as we had hoped. That said, the history and character of the building were genuinely impressive. The restoration work and historic atmosphere were easily the highlight of the visit and made the experience worthwhile from that perspective. I think people looking for a local interpretation of German inspired food may enjoy it more than someone expecting a more traditional experience.

As I walked to the back of the restaurant and sat at the bar, I noticed the beautiful outside patio. With a waterfall feature, I noticed there was a group of older folks there and found out it was their monthly German club! The ambiance is definitely German. Lots of deep oak woodwork, a beautiful bar with gorgeous stain glass windows at the back of the bar by the register. The lights glistened off of the giant hanging glass pitchers and beer steins. The bartender and waitress that both helped me were dolls. Had great suggestions on the menu, attentive, and talkative. I started with a potato pancake. It was delicious. Served with sour cream and applesauce like God intended. It was 5.50 for 1. Initially I thought that was pricey BUT it was worth it and I'd shell out the $9 for 3 next time. Then I had the sausage sampler. It came with two pieces of warm rye bread (tasted homemade), 3 different sausage links; chicken curry, bratwurst, and polish kielbasa...made in house. Lastly a small scoop of warm German potato salad. It was all good! I'll be back. No ranch used here so no rating.

Very authentic interior design; the bar area looked like many of the pubs we'd recently been to in German and Austria. The bartender came over quickly and got my glass of halbtrocken (half-sweet) Riesling. If you're only familiar with the American-style syrup they market as Riesling, you need to check out some German wines. "Trocken" is dry, "halbtrocken" is half-sweet, "FineHerb" (a relatively new designation) means off-dry and "süß" or suss, is sweet. On to the potato pancake appetizer. It arrived quickly, nice and hot, and served with both applesauce and sour cream. However, it wasn't the coarsely shredded potatoes I am used to getting in Germany; more of a fine shred, which gave it a different mouth-feel. From there, on to the beef rouladen. It takes a little longer but also came out hot, with sides of red cabbage, a roll, and a ton of spaetzle. Tasty, though the gravy was a little saltier than I'd have preferred. And if I'd eaten all that starch, I'd still be sleeping it off in one of their booths. Their menu also includes sausage samplers and other traditional items. Why only a three? Service and food were both good but not great. I thought the food was a little pricey: $26 for ONE rouladen with sides, and $6 for a single potato pancake. Three-and-a-half stars would be more fair but Yelp! doesn't give half stars. Finally (and I'm not really deducting points for this), no one on the staff that I encountered spoke ANY German. Even my basic, "Guten tag!" when sidling up to the bar was met with a blank stare. So... authentic? The atmosphere: definitely. The food: mostly. Final verdict: OK, leaning toward good.

It was huge and tasty to say the least. It was only $9.95. Great price for lunch these days. We also had to share a pretzel that came with cheese and mustard.
