Fried Chicken Sandwich w side salad
    Dana K.

Very disappointed in our first experience as we've looked forward to trying this restaurant before we moved to St Charles. We were excited as Thursday was 50% off cocktails. Our evening started with us waiting for 10+ minutes to be acknowledged after we sat at a table. We ordered cocktails and the espresso martini was good and only reason they are getting 2 stars. Cheddar popovers looked sad and weren't worth $4 each. My fried chicken sandwich had a good piece of chicken, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. I was happy they had the option to have a side salad vs fries. My guys fish n chips was really sad. Fish was frozen and over cooked (you can see in the photo) and his fries were soggy. We did order a 2nd round of drinks, but mine sat at the bar for 15mins before I flagged down our waitress (who said she was fairly new) to let her know it was sitting there. Even more frustrating as she'd been just standing in the back talking to other coworkers. On a slow night this was all unacceptable and we have marked them off our list. Not a meal or experience worth $80.

Server was all 5 stars. Super nice and helpful, and nice to my kids! The food was really good! It's missing a star as there's really only 2 options for mains if you don't eat beef and pork. However, the chicken they do have is incredible. I've never had a more perfectly cooked, delicious shishkabob. My husbands had the shnitzel, big huge plate. Great drinks and inside is really spacious with tall Ceilings. Sort of warehouse vibes. I'd see an event there such as a bday or corporate event super successful.

We rode bikes in for the Oktoberfest. We had a great time. The beer selection is great. I also won this really cool stein in a trivia contest. A very nice place that we will definitely return to.

What's the best transportation to a German restaurant/taproom on a fall day? Why, bicycling in-of course! Party bonus for us was that it was their Oktoberfest celebration! We enjoyed our beverages out on their large outdoor area (so we could watch our bikes), between the giant Jenga game & the Connect 4 games. Everyone in our biking group loved the live polka band! Since it was so much fun, we came back after the bicycle ride to enjoy some delicious knockwurst and try the giant pretzel-and of course Oktoberfest BEER! It reminded us of the real Munich Oktoberfest with the long tables and great beers & food!

Totally good!!! Found this place on Yelp last winter while sitting on the beach in Florida. Trusting the reviews I invited 7 others to join me when we all returned from our travels. Arrived early to case the joint. Attractive setting, good vibe. Sat at the bar and met Isaac. Great bartender...I knew is was going to be a good night. Isaac was friendly, efficient, great!! Set the stage for a great experience Drinks were good. Great at Happy Hour prices! Food great...plates all cleaned! Onion Rings were outstanding. Sorry, no food photos. Too busy eating. We drove up from Saint Paul. Worth the drive! We will be back. I may call first to make sure Issac is working!

Amazing atmosphere, the staff and manager are all nice people. They have one of the largest selections of Bourbons and Whiskies in the Northwest region of the cities. They are also known for their Beer selection but, The food is always amazing, on Friday and Saturday evenings there's a live band. It's a usual spot for us to go. If you like Old Fashioned's, ask for the Carlson Old Fashioned, you won't be disappointed.

Good food, great menu of bourbons, good old fashions, and a great atmosphere. Always a planned stop when we are out in that direction!

I enjoyed five different pours of Darkness: Gimme S'More Darkness (2021): An Imperial Stout, Darkness, aged on Vanilla and Cinnamon aged in Bourbon Barrels reminiscent of a liquid s'more. Darkness (2016): An Imperial Stout aged for nearly ten years. A little thin bodied, which occurs over time, and a ton of sherry notes. Darkness (2025) Barrel-Aged: An Imperial Stout aged in Elijah Craig Bourbon Barrels and Creative Oak French Oak. The OG version of this year's BA Darkness. Chocolate Limoncello Darkness (2024): An Imperial Stout with Cacao and Lemon Puree hitting French Oak for a while as well. This is a weird one for sure. Vietnamese Coffee Darkness (2020): An Imperial Stout, Darkness, infused with Organic Robusta and Arabica Coffees from UP Coffee Roasters (local to MN), Vanilla Beans, and Coconut. It was aged in Rum Barrels. This one is an absolute delight and my first time trying it! My favorite of the flight. _____

I had been driving around the area trying to spot a good lunch place before seeing an exhibit, and came up dry. So I was relieved to see it when I entered the Nelson Center. Seating and service were prompt but not rushed. Looking over the menu I spotted the names of several family favorites, though the salads sounded really good too, but maybe next time. I decided I had to do a Swedish Meatball comparison (my mother's maiden name was Nelson). The small plate was very artfully arranged and I saw right away they would not be much like my mom's! And that was fine, they are both excellent in their own way. These contain pork and are not served in gravy, but on top of potato puree, and the whole combination was delicious. I like that the tables are spaced fairly far apart; the atmosphere is casual but classy at the same time. It was a sunny fall day so I got to soak up the natural light and admire the inflated Yule goat on the patio.
