There is a new brewery in the Twin Cities - Ripple Effect Brewing! Ripple Effect is located in Rogers, MN just north of I94 on MN 101. The former Hardees restaurant turned taproom is tastefully decorated with a modern, clean feel. I tried 3 different beers on during my visit. The kolsch, stout, and American IPA. Of the 3 I enjoyed the stout and IPA the most and would return based on those beers. Staff was all very friendly and excited. Cool new spot worth checking out!

If I get a chance, its fun to go try some of the older variants and vintages of Darkness to see how they old up. It helps as well that Short or Tall does flights! I enjoyed five different pours of Darkness: Gimme S'More Darkness (2021): An Imperial Stout, Darkness, aged on Vanilla and Cinnamon aged in Bourbon Barrels reminiscent of a liquid s'more. Darkness (2016): An Imperial Stout aged for nearly ten years. A little thin bodied, which occurs over time, and a ton of sherry notes. Darkness (2025) Barrel-Aged: An Imperial Stout aged in Elijah Craig Bourbon Barrels and Creative Oak French Oak. The OG version of this year's BA Darkness. Chocolate Limoncello Darkness (2024): An Imperial Stout with Cacao and Lemon Puree hitting French Oak for a while as well. This is a weird one for sure. Vietnamese Coffee Darkness (2020): An Imperial Stout, Darkness, infused with Organic Robusta and Arabica Coffees from UP Coffee Roasters (local to MN), Vanilla Beans, and Coconut. It was aged in Rum Barrels. This one is an absolute delight and my first time trying it! My favorite of the flight. _____

It was delicious and I wish it would still be available. We also got the Spicy burrata pizza and the spinach dip cheese bread. My dad got a beer flight and I enjoyed the raspberry lemonade seltzer and the apricot mango peach smoothie sour. We went on a weekend so we were also there when you could get coffee and breakfast til 2 so I also got a coffee to enjoy that was also delicious. It was an iced cookie butter latte with vanilla cold foam. It was quite busy inside but we got our food pretty fast and didn't have to wait very long. We did get the last table also available for 4 people and it was nice to be able to have room to sit and enjoy our pizza and drinks. They also have outdoor seating and it's heated in the winter.

The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I finally had a pizza today, the Cluckin Chicken. I didnt want to make extra work for the kitchen so i picked off the onions. With all the ranch dressing it made it ideal to break off the crust & dab it in it, nice. A few standard tables & high tops. Parking is easy around all sides of the building. I like Omni a little more than i thought i could, is that a thing? When after doing some googling i found out several years ago when i would somewhat frequently pop in @ open & always sat near the corner, where an employee also was...so id chat him up about beeriness. He was always friendly & informative & never once slid in: hey im justin... co-owner justin. We always just chatted like two beer enthusiasts. Its this thing i do... & rarely ever ask a name. Thanks Omni for consistently having friendly staff pouring delicious beers in a comfortable & welcoming tap room, cheers.
