Just a hole in the wall. I called Hearth and Home store. Asked for a service call. Nice young man came out. Took things apart. Said this wasn't working and that wasn't working. I told him the story about the previous lack of service. He said things are better now. He left. Said he would go back to the store in Washington and see if they could get the necessary parts and get my fireplace working again. Weeks went by. Eventually the girl called to say the manufacturer could provide the parts. I told her to order them. More weeks. Finally she called and said the parts were in and she had figured the invoice for two service calls and parts to be $647.00. I said good. She said it would be 3 weeks before the service tech could come back. Made an appointment for December 20th. Said he would be here between 9 and noon. I waited. Noon . . no-one had shown up. I called the store. Girl answered. Said 'let me find him and I'll call you back.' Another hour and a half - no call. I called again. Got the answering machine. Told her I was still waiting and it was very poor service. I've never heard from them again. How do you stay in business?
