They would not allow me to schedule a delivery over the phone so that I could be home from work. They would not let me remove automatic delivery as a service choice. They kept randomly coming by my house then sending me alerts that I had missed a delivery. This issue was explained to customer service several times. AmeriGas told me that it was noted on my account and that I would get a 45 minute advance notice so that I could drive home from work to let them in. Never received advance notice, and they came by three more times. We finally got luckily enough to get our tank filled when they came by (without notice) while my daughter was leaving for school. The website is not user friendly. Go with a different service provider.

I won't mention other companies by name in a review for this company, but Midwestern charges $0.50 to $1 more than other companies in the Bellville, IL area. They are also extremely unhelpful when a customerneeds a one time exception made. They will only deliver 200 gallons at once. I am towards the end of my rental agreement for this residence and do not want, or need, 200 gallons but am being forced to buy it anyways. I've also had some unexpected bills due to my pets (vet bills can get high rather quickly). With the high winter price of propane, and the fact I am now being force to buy more than I need, I was forced to make a decision that would either potentially hurt me financially or allow my house to get too cold (potentially letting pipes freeze). The company didn't bother asking what my extenuating circumstances were. They simply told me I should look into payment assistance even though I wouldn't need assistance ein they would just let me order 100 gallons less one time. They do not care about their customers, only their money. I have already contacted another company to see about switching totthem in case I do decide to stay here for another year.

It was a few days before Christmas and we realized our propane was completely out. This was a shock since two weeks prior we had 30%. We called our propane company and as always, we taped the check for the prior amount to our door and we waited. Pro Gas has no emergency number. Pro Gas also does not answer the phone. In fact we were told, when asked why he did not contact us, his response "I don't have time to make phone calls" We waited three days, and I finally took a trip out to that address you see up there.. 600 Aubuchon, Troy Missouri. Don't bother going there.. it's not a real address, there is no such number! So push came to shove and I told the answering machine I was going to do my best to get his attention. I called our local radio station and told them my story. It was less then an hour and the owner Paul called and he was very angry. I sincerely wondered if he was still in business. He told me if I had his money and I told him as always it was taped to the door. For 2 years this is how we did it. Then Paul said to me. "Three words motivate me, Cash in hand" WOW, I was shocked. Now if Paul had an issue with our balance, he should have called. But he does not have time to call. He does not answer the phone and there is no emergency number. Address is fake. But all of a sudden Paul wants to be nasty with me. Paul finally gets here and I tell him he'll have to check for a leak and he tells me "You ain't got no leak" I've been up here and serviced people for the 2nd time and you've not been serviced once this winter. I'm not sure what Paul is saying here, and maybe he should check his records. But either way.. Paul checked and after filling our tank announces.. we do have a leak. I'm not sure what Paul expects to gain by his poor customer service and horrible attitude, but I know it did gain him this entry on Yelp. In an economy as we have now, customer service is the key. I guess Paul does not know the fact that AmeriGas will come and remove his tank, sit it to the side... place one of theirs, check all our lines and get us up and running in a matter of a few hours. Amerigas also offers 24 hours live support and has an emergency number on their answering machine. I'm sure Paul and Pro Gas are a small mom and pop company and maybe Paul needs help in the office. And the roads have been clear for more than two days! Now their "customer service" (what a joke) people are telling us it will be Monday - SEVEN DAYS FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE! Our house is 40 degrees. And it's only that because we have burned over two cords of wood in the fireplace to keep it at that temp! We can't leave because then the pipes would freeze and homeowners insurance would call it negligence if we just left the house to freeze! My dads tank was leaking - for MONTHS. The leak was at the tank gauge not part of the connection to…read morethe house. So heritage is responsible. The propane was down to 30% in 5 months over the summer so very little propane was actually used and most of it leaked. They tried to convince me that a "pin hole leak" would not cause that much loss. The leak was identifiable from 50 feet away on a calm evening and you could HEAR it when close. This is a violation of state law for trying to take advantage of my 94 year old father.
