My experience here and overall impression of their knowledge of air conditioners was not so good. My AC had been out, after the dealership asked for an outrageous $180 just to look at it, I took my car here. He seemed very nice, explained to me that they needed to pressurize and inject a dye that would allow him to see where it was leaking, then take it back the next weekend. He charged his full diagnosis price of about $90 (including the pressurization) right then saying part of that would be deducted after the repair. The next weekend he still could not find the leak and said to take it back after it stopped working. When I took it back he was on vacation and his son was running the shop. After making me wait over two hours, his son told me he did not know the problem and I should come back the next week when his dad was back, but recommended I pay them to get it pressurized again. Of course I did not. I went back the following week and guess what... They told me they were busy that week and I should come back the next week. At this point it was very hot and sunny, already June and I needed AC. A friend recommended another person to take it to. He spent about 5 minutes checking and said with 100% confidence the condenser needed to be replaced. I was a little unsure but he showed right where the condenser had been damaged. After he replaced the condenser, it has worked with no problem. Gary may have been genuine in trying to make sure my condenser had a problem, but that is no way to treat a customer and he either was not competent in diagnosing this problem or did not want to make the effort to look at it properly. I regret paying him any money to diagnose the problem until he had actually diagnosed the problem. read more
