He was very friendly and very personable. You can tell he absolutely loves his city and coffee. He was just phenomenal. Several regulars stopped in and he knew them by name. They were equally as excited and praised his coffee. They had me super excited and glad that I stopped by. He does not sell prepared coffee drinks in the shop, but did recommend local bakeries and cafes that did. BTW, Dots & Pearls was one he recommended and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! He sales coffee beans. This is a roastery, so you're getting fresh roasted beans from some of the most notable coffee regions in the country. It is awesome. I purchased a bag of Sumatra dark roast and a big bottle of chai concentrate. My partner said the chai is delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend that you stop by and chat it up with the owner and of course purchase some high quality coffee. I definitely cannot wait to come back to High Point. Oh yeah, you can purchase the coffee online!!

Friendly staff who gave a good recommendation, line was moving (although it was longer), and the coffee was perfectly favored. Didn't take all that long to get a latte either! I parked about a block away because they have a small parking lot- it's not the easiest to get in and out of!

They offer a lot of drinks and food and have lots of seating. The outdoor area was beautiful and relaxing-ish (they can't help the cars driving by). I ordered a zucchini quiche and nitro coffee, my SO ordered drip, cortado, and empanadas (Patagonia, spinach, and breakfast). I thought the cortado was delicious. The drip was very weak and the nitro bitter. The quiche was just slightly over salted. I liked the spinach empanada, but found it heavy on the salt too. The Patagonia was pretty delicious and had great flavor. When I took a bite of the breakfast empanada, I couldn't name any of the ingredients in the filling. Overall, gave me the caffeine boost and sustenance I needed, but I probably wouldn't return.

Walked into Salvation Coffee for the first time this year, but I've been here multiple times…read morethroughout 2025, so this isn't a one-off experience. Kept it simple--nitro cold brew and an iced Bear Claw with almond milk. First off, that nitro was clean as hell. Smooth, no bitterness, and the fact that it's naturally sugar-free without sacrificing flavor? That's a win all day. The Bear Claw was solid too--nice balance with the almond milk, not overly sweet, just easy to enjoy. And one thing I really respect--their whipped cream is always sugar-free. That's huge for me living a sugar-free lifestyle, and it shows they actually think about their customers. Best part though, out of nowhere, both the barista and I looked up and boom... line out the door. We kind of just looked at each other like "well damn," and honestly, good for them. That's what happens when you're doing things right. Even with the rush, everybody kept a great attitude. Customers, staff; just good people all around. That small-town Burlington feel is real here. Folks talking, connecting, or just chilling on the couch doing their own thing--no pressure, no weird energy, just a genuinely cool environment. And this place actually feels welcoming. Not that forced "too cool" coffee shop vibe you sometimes get. Just real people, treating you like a normal human being. That goes a long way. Also worth calling out... So their rewards program is legit. You get 10 points for every dollar you spend, and it adds up fast. I've already built up enough where I could knock about half off my bill if I wanted to. That's real value, not just marketing fluff. It's got that perfect mix of small-town vibe with modern convenience, and I really hope that never changes. This has been a consistently solid spot for me, and I'll keep coming back!

I've been to Salvation many times, and it used to be one of my top-recommended coffee shops in Burlington, NC. Unfortunately, not anymore. Customer service during my recent visits has been disappointing. The baristas often made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. While there was one occasion when the person at the register was kind and welcoming. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas when I met up with my siblings, and the experience was especially unpleasant. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, customer service was poor, and the coffee itself was underwhelming. The espresso in my latte was barely noticeable. Worst of all, the music was extremely loud and filled with constant profanity, to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to leave to meet outside instead. I hope this review is not taken in the wrong way, but I genuinely used to enjoy Salvation Coffee, but the decline in service, atmosphere, and overall experience has been noticeable and disappointing.

Abingdon is a little town with a lot of fast food outlets and doesn't exactly have a vibrant cafe society or third spaces for people living outside of the nuclear family unit constellation. So I was delighted to find this little cafe/ bookshop (The Book Cellar) which even has a tiny garden as well where you can get a cuppa tea, browse the books, sit down and maybe just get some writing done or just collect your thoughts. Folks were very friendly and I had no problems here whatsoever. It's small, very cozy but for little Abingdon, it's just right. I was so happy to find this corner of Abingdon. I may come back to Abingdon in the future for other workshops and if I do, I sure hope this little shop and cafe are still here.

It was the perfect sweet treat to warm me up on chilly winter afternoon. The cafe also featured a very cute book cellar that had the neatest items!! You can definitely tuck-away in this cafe to get work done, you can meet with friends for a coffee date, or even just chill and have a cup of coffee, a pastry and indulge in a nice book. If you're in Abingdon, VA, it's absolutely worth checking out!
