Having 3 Little Doggies that need to go out on a regular basis for one, but being our major point of egress, it was a MAJOR inconvenience to lose use thereof. Calling around for estimates I was quite shocked at the OUTRAGEOUS cost of replacing one small but vital component of our gate. $300-$500 was the common estimate. which seemed ridiculous. My last call was to Ben's Mobile Welding, and although I had already arranged a service with someone who gave a much more palatable bid, Ben undercut that bid a little bit. Something just told me, Ben was the better option, other than a better bid. Devine Intervention?? Probably so. Ben arrived sooner than arranged, and to say I was blown away by his knowledge of what needed to be done, his commitment to "doing things right", 'not cutting any corners', and completing the job in a very admirable manner, could never be conveyed more resoundingly! Ben went above and beyond what I expected and had hoped for and even offered/insisted on making an additional repair. Even when offering to go 'above and beyond' what he was there to do, and running into some difficulty in doing so, his admirable work ethic and commitment to doing things 'the right way', again just blew me away. A work ethic and commitment to such, you just, rarely, very rarely find anymore these days! I can honestly say you couldn't find a better professional should you ever need this type of work around your home. Needless to say, I was very happy to pay him about 25% more than we had agreed upon and he expected.

The price was fair enough that I had him do the same to the other side of my house and replace the existing rv gate with a new one. Turned out great. Jonathan's crew were here on time, worked hard and left the area clean. His gate guys came out a little after the block work was complete and installed the two new 10' gates which look great with composite wood. Half the places I called didn't call me back and the ones that did took a couple of days. I think it's rather stupid and petty to leave a negative review when no actual work has been performed. Anyway, I came home last Wednesday afternoon to a big hole in my block fence due to an unidentified vehicle that lost control on the wet road. I talked to several contractors and learned that my block size (4x10x16) was discontinued a few years ago and nobody had any, not even suppliers. I was faced with replacing the panel with 4x8x16 block that would not exactly match the rest of the fence. I could live with that and requested quotes. Then Rod called me back and said he had some 4x10x16 block. I texted him a photo and he replied that he had enough block to add to my undamaged blocks to restore the wall. He gave me a price that was in between the prices I was getting for the smaller block. I gave him the job and he scheduled me for today, Thursday, which was fine because other contractors were telling me at least two weeks. Rod and his crew showed up at 5AM (to beat the heat) and were done before 10AM. They did a quality job and I would certainly call upon him for future masonry work.

Yesterday, we used Caseys for filling a 240 sq ft section of our living room floor that was 5.5 inchs lower than the rest of the house. Ron provided a reasonable quote, and came to our residence a day before to prep the surface. After the concrete was poured, he spent a lot of time meticulously packing and flattening the surface to ensure it was just right for the tile installers to come in (28 days from now after its fully cured) to start the tile install. A little bit higher but his professionalism was a clear standout that added to the decision of selecting his company. Eli visited again to do a walk through before we signed off on the plans and payment terms. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail and in person management of ensuring we were all on the same page. He estimated the work would begin in two days and the crew promptly arrived as expected. Despite me asking for an additional piece of work, they finished on time and we're very pleased with the quality of the work. They were incredibly respectful with regular updates, requesting if it was ok to leave certain equipment overnight and keeping a clean job site.
