My wife and I brought her mother's car to Garber Chevrolet of Webster for a warranty repair. We wanted to wait for the repair to be completed while we waited rather than obtain a loaner car. We had called another area dealer that was closer to home, but were told that we would have to leave the car for one day. Also, we felt that the person at that other dealership was not courteous or interested in what they wanted. The response that we received at Garber Chevrolet was completely different. The person arranging the appointment assured us that the work could be done while we waited. She was professional and courteous. We were met by service advisor, Matt Jackson, who was exceptional. He not only provided an estimate of how long the repair would take, he also assured us that our wait at the dealership would not be long. Matt was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The experience in the waiting area was great. Coffee, other beverages and snacks were readily available, and there was plenty of space for relaxing or working at desk areas with electrical outlets for charging. While looking at cars in the showroom, we met their very cheerful and friendly receptionist. She explained how much she enjoyed working at Garber, and it showed. When I asked a question about one of the cars on the floor (a Corvette, of course), the receptionist called the sales manager, who like the others at the dealership, was friendly and helpful. When the car was ready, Matt did a great job explaining the work that was done, described upcoming maintenance and service per Chevy intervals, and absorbed the cost of a new wiper blade as a way to provide a nice start to our relationship with this dealership. When we returned the keys to my mother-in-law, we said "how often is it that, when you're told your car is ready, you actually wouldn't mind hanging around the dealership and its staff a while longer." I highly recommend this dealership based on our experience. read more

Fairness in appraisals. Fair market value is all anyone can expect. Sales people are having to run everything through a manager. As a repeat Garber customer I expected better. read more

The service dept isn't good. Matt is a terrible servicr manager and will blame you for their error. Don't go here!

Greg Hunt and Austin Keegan were the absolute BEST! I initially submitted an inquiry regarding a 2023 Suburban RST and it's availability; and Greg immediately sent a personalized video with my husband's name stating it was still on the lot. We got the ball rolling on a Saturday morning, and he walked me through everything with patience and clear communication. We scheduled to pick the vehicle up the following Saturday since the dealership was roughly 300+ miles away from us. This was my first experience buying a brand new vehicle, and we drove 5-ish hours from West Virginia just to finalize the sale because we were so impressed. While at the dealership, we were treated with respect by all of the personable staff we encountered. Austin took the time going over all of the features and made sure we were comfortable before we drove off the lot. I got a little too antsy and tried to rush through it, but Austin wanted to make sure all of the features worked so we didn't have issues after we left. We seriously can't wait to come back to get my husband's new truck later this year. The best part of all, we weren't even asked to write a review. Initially my experience when buying my Tahoe at Garber was pleasant. The salesman was friendly and informative. I didn't feel pressured into buying the car. The issue has been with the finance department and this is why I leave the low score. When I purchased my Tahoe, I was talked into adding the 75,000 mile extended warranty. About 15 months after purchasing the car, I was involved in an accident and the vehicle was totaled, it had 32,000 miles on it (yes, we travel A LOT)...anyway, I was told that I would get a prorated refund for the warranty I bought since the policy would never be cashed in on. It's been 3 months and Garber's finance department has still not given me my refund and no one seems to know where the paperwork is. My insurance company took care of thousands of dollars for my loan payoff and cash due to me in less than 2 weeks, and it takes Garber 3 months+ to handle a $1000 refund check??? That doesn't seem right. Every time I contact them to follow up and check the status of things, I am told that they've had 3 different finance managers in there since I bought the car, and it seems to be "a bit of a puzzle".... not really my problem- Do better Garber, get yourself organized. I'd say the quality of the finance department there is lacking in effectiveness, big time! read more
