Monro looked at my vehicle and didn't find anything wrong with my brakes, just a tad bit of rust on my discs which is expected with the amount of snow and salt exposure we get here. I appreciate the honesty and just for that I will continue and would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs auto services done. An hour a tire. They move at a snails pace here but techs getting minimum wage they don't care as long as they clock an 8 hour shift. I brought my own tires I wouldn't buy anything from this place. It's your typical cookie cutter big box tire shop. If you get anything done here other than mount and balance tires you're insane go to an actual auto shop. I paid them for four new valve stems cause my original ones leaked leak tested this morning they are all leaking so they never changed the valve stems wasted 4 and half hours of my time and charged me $150 for some of the worst work I've ever seen. Don't waste your time here after speaking with their "technicians" it's pretty obvious drug testing isn't a requirement for employment here. I guess I'm insane for even going here lol. (Update) lug nuts on two wheels were hand tightened thank God I made it home this crosses the line from uneducated lazy workers to dangerous and unsafe practices. Corporate is either a call center or someone who couldn't care less. Stay far away from this place your life and vehicles well being could depend on it!

This normally involves everything that is checked during a state safety inspection, but with additional checks on the functionality of the vehicle and its systems (electrical, cosmetics, etc). I requested an engine compression test, and was told it would involve more time, which was fine. What I received: 10 photos of the undercarriage and two lines about the seller being old and needing to sell. No start. No compression test. No other photos. No evidence anything else had been examined. Chris was polite and apologetic, and he did adjust the invoice, but I was left with no clear idea about the vehicle, despite paying for exactly that service.

DANGEROUS AND NEGLIGENT WORK - DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY'S CAR HERE…read more I had brake replacement, tire service, and wheel alignment performed at this Monro location in December 2025. Shortly after, my wife and young child were driving to Albany in a winter storm when the brakes started making a loud banging noise. She was forced to drive in fear for an extended period before finding another Monro location, where a technician discovered one brake caliper bolt was MISSING ENTIRELY and a second was dangerously loose. My wife and child could have been killed. I contacted Fairport manager Kevin, who was completely nonchalant and actually said "the advantage of Monro is you can stop at their other locations." He eventually offered a partial refund -- which was never paid -- then became completely unreachable. I filed a BBB complaint (Case #24733045). In their formal response, Monro corporate ADMITTED the caliper bolt was not properly secured and acknowledged filing an insurance claim for rim damage caused by their negligence. Despite this admission, they are refusing a full refund. The tire pressure light is also still on after their tire service, and the rim was scratched. This is a documented safety failure that endangered my family.
