Friday evening January 20th, I went to load up the car for an important event in the morning and the door wouldn't open more than a foot. One of two springs had broken. There was no way I could lift the door by myself. My cars were trapped in the garage. No trip tomorrow. I panicked. I called Adrian. He couldn't come out that evening but very patiently talked me through the process for raising the door by "helping" the motor to raise it. Adrian came out the next morning and replaced both springs (my wife "supervised"). He warned me before he came, that he would have to charge me a trip charge for the Saturday service. I was happy to pay the comparatively small charge as I didn't want my Mustang left out of the garage and vulnerable to thieves all weekend. In addition to the normal installation, Adrian cleaned the tracks, lubricated them and the rollers, a job I wasn't looking forward to doing myself. This morning my garage door broke. It was twisting as it tried to go up and cause some of the rollers to fall off and bent the railings. I called Adrian, the owner, at 7:30 am and he called back immediately. He was about 15 minutes away (home maybe) and said he would arrange his work schedule to make me his first call of the day. He came over and diagnosed the basic problem. In December of 2019, another company came to fix a garage door problem and installed two high cycle springs. The diagnosis today was that one of the springs installed was missing a bolt, which cause the spring to lose tension, causing today's malfunction. He was able to install a bolt and retension both springs. That fixed the basic problem. He then proceeded to perform a complete inspection and performed other maintenance needs including: (1) installing a garage door travel stop switch, replacing the broken one (2) tightening the garage door rail bracket connections (3) realigning an incorrecty installed raling bracket (4) installing new rollers and (5) lubricating all moving parts. He did not charge for the travel stop switch and gave me a internet coupon discount. Work was done in less than 45 minutes. Pictures below are before the repairs. read more

Adrian, the owner with 22 years of experience, was able to come out the same day we requested help which was really appreciated. He told us what was wrong and what he could do to fix it and the cost. He was very quick and knowledgeable with the repairs. The door works better than ever! He guaranteed his work for one year. The total price ended up higher than we had hoped it would be, but that was just our guessing at the eventual cost plus we did get new ball bearing rollers which added to the cost. Consider it just a warning if you are getting your door repaired. Even though the name implies you are going to get work for less, it might not be the case. Although we really can't accurately compare it since we didn't not get any other estimates. And with the current state of the economy and inflation, the cost could be less than others. This company is awesome! 5:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning, with a full day scheduled, and the spring on the garage door breaks. So, off to Yelp, thank God, and there was Adrian, open already! He asked me for some pictures of the garage door, so he could bring the proper parts. At 8 a.m. showed up, as polite and professional as can be. We had a 'builders-grade' chain-drive garage door opener that came with the house we bought, it was probably installed sometime in 2014. It sure didn't last long. Within a few months we experienced episodes where it just would not open for us which was, without fail, at the most inconvenient times. We don't typically carry keys on us and with the house locked down this was becoming a problem. We reached out to (3) of the 'top' garage door installers in our area. These are the guys with billboards all over town and weekly adds in our mail box. Upon reading yelp reviews we noticed that a few of these larger company had a significant number of unhappy customers whose reviews are NOT factored into their satisfaction rating. This seemed fishy to us. We reached out to Garage Doors 4 Less along with a couple of smaller family-run companies and were satisfied with the chat-responses from the companies at this tier. All of them expressed a genuine, personal interest in our project. We decided to go with Garage Doors 4 Less based on their reviews and our conversations with them. Just from a couple photos they knew exactly what we needed, asked great questions and most importantly, made an installation appointment for us in less than 24 hours. We replaced the existing garage door unit that was failing with a quality, brand-name belt drive unit, and added a second identical unit for our third garage bay. We also asked our sales-rep to include and program a new remote entry keypad (which operates both doors) and to inspect and tune them up, e.g. lubricate, replace all track rollers, rebalance spring tension, etc. All told, the job turned out amazing. The operation of both installed units is efficient, (predictable!) and quiet. Hat's off to our installer who was very hard working, clean-cut, and knew his craft. Lucky, there are more than just them in town. I found another place that will replace dual springs for $199 standard garage or $249 8 ft garage with new wires and 5 years warranty. I just had Omar out to look at why my door is not working. I was told it was a bad circuit board . Quoted 225 for the part and 55 for the service call. The part retails for 80 dollars online. Asked how much for a new opener. He quoted me 600. I understand they need to make a profit , but that is gouging in my opinion. Omar would not even complete a service on my door for the 55 dollars I paid. I had good dealings with Adrian in the past so thought I would call him with this problem. Pricing was great and had included military discount- compared to our neighbors who paid twice as much for similar install.
