We had our garage door tuned up and serviced. We were seeing light through the sides of the door and Bryan corrected the issue. He also lubricated everything. I asked he replace the rollers, which he did for us. The door opens much more quietly now. Bryan completed these tasks in less than 30 minutes. Couldn't be happier with the way this went. The spring on my garage door snapped at about 11:30am. Was in the middle of something with work, so didn't start looking online for a repair company until about 12:30pm. Made a few calls and went with Quick Response Garage Door Service at about 1:10pm. The technician, Duane, arrived about 30 minutes later. And as I write this review at 2:30pm, my garage door is already repaired and working smoother than it was before. I'll definitely use this company again. A couple other things I liked: Duane was great - Super nice guy, clearly knew his stuff, did a great job on the repair itself, and worked quickly too. This company sends a link to be able to track the technician and see how far away he is. I wish more companies that performed services at your house did this. They gave me a ballpark quote on the phone, and it was in the same range as the other couple companies I called for same-day service. This was on September 3rd, around 1:30 PM and Bryan from Quick Response Garage Door Service was at my house by approximately 2:45 PM. Bryan was able to get the garage door to open and close again and he helped troubleshoot the issue with getting the MyQ app set up. He assisted me by calling LiftMaster directly and ultimately, getting LiftMaster to send out a replacement mother board for my garage door opener. Used this company in an emergency. They promised a flat rate but then doubled after they arrived. Two weeks later the spring broke and they wouldn't stand behind the labor they had just performed. I found a better company for half the price. If you hate the corporate feel of a service company and don't want to get ripped off, I suggest moving on to the next business. And if you force customers to pay higher prices than your competition you may want to stand behind your work. Quick Response did respond very quickly. The appointment was for the next day in the morning. They sent picture of the technician via text. Daniel was a great help. I was having issues withe the garage door not going up and down with the remote and with wall switch. It was also very noisy. The whole unit had to be replaced because it was too old. Luckily Daniel had a new unit in the truck. It took maybe 45 minutes to install new unit. It is is now a very quiet unit. Daniel suggested I download app by the wall unit button. Started off good but when the tech got there I got a call saying it was going to be $100 more and I had to use their materials because they couldn't use what was sent in the box. I had the exact perforated angle metal in my garage but they said I had to buy theirs. I told them it was bait and switch to pull that on their customers. I told them it is what it is and they installed the unit. When they were done they asked me to cover the charge and I told them to bill Lowe's as they were the ones who hired them on my behalf. I paid for the installation through Lowe's and was not told about any additional materials. Quick Response refused and said they would take the opener that they just installed down. I said they need to contact Lowe's if they want any more money. The ended up taking it down and left it in the garage. The passive aggressiveness in handling this situation is extremely off putting to a customer in the middle of what should have been a dispute between them and Lowe's. Angi needs to take them off the list! Update: Please post the recorded conversations. I wasn't passive, I was directly aggressive with you when you tried to rip me off. I never said I wouldn't pay. When you wanted to settle up, I told you to bill Lowe's and I would handle it with them. Not my problem if you have contractual disputes with the vendor that hires you. Again, I didn't hire you...Lowes did. Turns out I have the same exact perforated angle you use sitting in my garage and when I offered to bring it to you, you said you had to use yours. It takes less than 4ft of material yet you want to charge me for two full sticks at $50 each for a small residential garage door? You told me even if you have to switch out units you still install your super strength perforated angle metal even-though the manufacturer supplies the tested and approved hardware and then extort your customers. That is bait and switch. I don't care about the 5 star reviews you throw in my face. I'm beyond upset, and true integrity of a company is realized on how they handle the customers who feel wronged. This company really lives up to their name. I called them Saturday morning to inquire about a garage door replacement. Our garage door worked fine, it just had a couple of bends in it and did not look very good. Josh came out later that day and gave us an estimate. He said to let us know Monday if we wanted to go ahead with the replacement and they could probably get it done during the week. We said Monday morning to go ahead with the job but we needed to have it painted the same day as our home owners association is very strict. The installation was scheduled for the first thing on Tuesday morning with the painting to be done later that day. Josh was on time Tuesday and did the installation himself. He did an excellent job explaining every nuance about the door and the work he was performing. He even took The brace off of our old door and installed it on our new door to make it more sturdy and long lasting. He was very professional and extremely efficient. We had told QuickResponse that our homeowners association required a certain brand of paint for the garage door. Their painter, Billy, came by our house and picked up an empty can to ensure that he purchased the exact required paint. If I could give a 0 I would. I have had a terrible experience from Quick Response Garage Door Service. A tech comes to my home, mind you this is a door opener that they recommended and installed. Tech says call them back if the garage malfunctions within 90 days and they would return at no cost. I call and go round with staff and ask for someone else. I spoke with Danny who when I asked his position with the company said "king of the jungle"! He elevated his voice, told me I was not told what I was told and was not a pleasant person to speak with.
