My garage door would not open up past 6 inches and I could not see if the springs were broken because they are housed inside of a metal tube. I call Garage Doors 4 Less and Adrian came over at a time that was convenient for me. He knew it was the springs right away and took apart the cheap plastic crap that comes with new track housing and replaced the parts with American made springs and other parts. He showed me the broken spring and they looked thin and cheap. He sprayed down everything and adjusted the movement of the garage door. Adrian was a very nice and hard-working guy and I will call on Garage Doors 4 Less if I have any other problems with the garage door. New home builders use the cheapest and least expensive parts so I am sure others in my neighborhood will be having the same problem soon. read more

Broke a Torsion spring on our garage door. Adrian quoted a price and came over the next day and the job was done. Don't waste your time calling any of these other companies. He figured it out pretty quickly and made some suggestions. No one wants to choose the first person they call, or pay the prices to fix things. I would give 10 stars if I could! I opened my garage door on a Saturday morning to get my newspaper and BOOM spring broken. A quick jump on the yelp and I have a few responses but almost no one could give me a weekend response and most were booking several weeks out. GD4L was able to give me a "worst case" quote over the phone and some options based on the pictures I sent. We were able to set up same day service and all was a done deal. While he was out he noticed a few items on the door for me keep an eye on and gave me options on how I could proceed based on budget. Finally found a rare honest guy working here in AZ. I called over 8 companies here on yelp to get a quote. Most of them wanted over $400 and two wanted over $600 to replace a cracked torsion spring. Adrian replaced two springs for $300 and did it in under an hour. He charged me for parts what Home Depot does. In what world does that happen? And best part is I didn't even have to call out for work because he texts so I could communicate with him while working and He arrived early next day. He recommended other repairs but never pushed them on us which was rare. Usually it's always something else that has to be done right now with these other companies. Really Disappointed with how this turned out. Had a broken spring and talked to Adrian who seemed to be a guy I'd want to give my business to. He came by and fixed the spring no problem. But I am still without a working garage door. While going over his work with me and programming the motor, he pulled the trolly back too far and it snapped. Adrien just started talking in circles and told me to order the piece on Amazon. I was extremely frustrated at the moment but had to get to a meeting so wrote him a check and he left. Once I ordered the replacement piece I wanted to give Adrian an opportunity to make this right and asked him to come replace the piece that he broke. He has decided that this is at no fault of his and that he heard a pop which meant it cracked. If he heard it pop/crack, why would he continue to put stress on it until it snapped. As a uneducated consumer I paid him $250 for him to fix a spring but break another part then refuse to fix it. And I still don't have a working garage door. I believe that my $150 in labor costs should warrant replacement of both pieces. He had an opportunity to do the right thing and decided not to. Update: Seriously so disappointed that I went with this company. Some of the things he said in his response to this review didn't even happen. The last thing I want to add is after Adrien told me to buy the part on amazon her told me how to replace it. If I would have gone with the directions he gave me I would have completely broken my garage. I called a friend for a second opinion who walked me through how to fix it over the phone. That's how easy it was. Someone as completely mechanically challenged as I am was able to fix this within 20 minutes and Adrien refused to do the right thing for something that he broke. We discussed different manufactures ( I was familiar with a popular one and the owner suggested a local one that I was not aware of). Furthermore, he encouraged me to do some research and to send him specific details "the exact collection name of the window design and the color" of my choices. We both agreed that texting would be the best option. He sent me a couple of pictures of a door he had just installed and I responded with pictures of what I was looking for including a picture of my current door. After extensive research, I sent him a couple of options (exactly what he asked for) complete with 'Serial Numbers and other 'stock' information and asked for a direct quote for each of them.
