I have wanted to check out this local store for some time. Stopped by on a Sunday during their…read moreoperating hours. The sign said open and the window advertised specials. I walked into a small crowded space, which was dominated by a group of children doing crafts. I assume it was a birthday party. As I entered, the adults on the premises looked at me like I had two heads. Feeling like I had done something wrong, I said "I'm sorry, is the store open?" You would think that this is where someone in charge would realize they should have locked the door and put a sign up about the private party, and then apologize to the unwitting would be customer. Nope! One of the adults rolled her eyes at me and said "I suppose it's not." I think this may have been the parent hosting the party, but it's possible it was someone linked to the store. Then a person who I can only guess was an employee of the store said "no, take an envelope!" There were several unmarked envelopes on the door. Perhaps they contain the secret instructions required to infiltrate this establishment, something like bringing a quail's egg under the light of the waxing moon or saying a secret password. Because, I can attest that walking in the door during the store's hours of operation doesn't get you very far. I can't speak to the goods there, because I doubt I'll rouse enough nerve to try to enter here again.

We tried to return shoes that couldn't fit my sister, and they didn't accept them. The only reason…read morewhy we bought them was because my mom just thought they were cute and my sister didn't go to the mall with her. The shoes were tied together in a way my sister couldn't properly try them on, so we had to cut the tag off. She only tried them on and took a step or two INDOORS and they didn't fit. So we were going to return them, simple right? We go to return them, and they said we couldn't. Why? They said the shoes were already worn, and showed us the slightly dirty sole that we had never checked(our floors couldn't possibly be that dirty). Also keep in mind that we had also brought the shoes back with the tags (even though they weren't attached) and that the tag had NO BAR CODE OR SALE PRICE (which they told us was because the original tag fell, but that had only occurred with the pair of shoes we bought for some reason *cough* guessing it was returned). If I were to guess, the shoes were bought by someone, worn, then returned because the sales assistant at that time allowed it. They put on a new tag, meaning the original people returning it didn't provide a tag (If that was allowed, why couldn't our return WITH TAGS be accepted) and re-shelved. My mom buys them without inspecting them first (like she usually would) and lets my sister try them. They don't fit and we try to return them, but they say no. They could see it was obviously see it was a resold pair of shoes, and decided to immediately push the blame on us even though they probably knew it was due to an employee of THEIRS that didn't check the shoes when being returned. We never shop at children's place much in the first place, but we have an even bigger reason not to now. The quality is poor in the first place and I'd rather pay more money for better service and clothing. If you can't spare the extra cash, Walmart is also better place. It's as cheap as children's place, but the quality is at least a little better and the customer service is way better.

Over five years ago, I decided to change my eating and lifestyle habits. I lost sixty pounds and have kept it off, which is a challenge being a foodie! Anyway, shopping for anything at Gap is no longer an issue. I shop here often. My size remains constant here. It's nice being in a holding pattern! I also get great clothes at discount prices. I have a navy blue skirt that has light pink stripes going down it. It has pockets, which are both practical and cute. I got this skirt for $10 and continue to wear it. It's one of my favourite pieces. I rarely shop at regular Gap stores. I am always at an outlet store. This one is at Heartland. It can get busy. However, there are plenty of parking spaces. The change rooms are bright and clean. I never feel pressured to try everything on quickly. The lineups can be long, but I am patient. Staff are friendly. I can't complain. (14)
