Prices are moderate - at are slightly above Boston Store or Macy's. But what I really LOVE about this place is that they stock a wide range of sizes - not just regular misses and petites, but women's plus sizes as well. For once, I can actually shop in the same boutique as my smaller sized friends and family, and get the same styles. Kudos to Talbots for getting it right and recognizing that women who wear size 14 and higher deserve fashionable, high quality, professional looking clothing and are a market worth serving.

This particular location is an outdoor location in a fancy outdoor mall in the north suburbs of Milwaukee. The Glendale Center is actually really cute if you can find parking and not cute at all in the midwinter time and you'll wish it was indoors. I like coming here for sure - especially to treat Barbie to stuff, but she's not as crazy about the stuff here as she is at the cheaper and more scandalous Forever 21.

Well, I was mezmorized again by their window mannequin and walked in today just to peruse the racks. To my great surprise, I met the most wonderful (and pretty!) associate ever, Liz! It is the first time I've seen a pretty, young and truly friendly associate at WHBM. As shallow as I may sound, I'm not interested in an old woman showing me today's fashion. I'm in my 20's. Can I really trust a 50+ woman's opinions on clothing? No. At least I cannot. Anywhooo! Liz greeted me within 30 seconds of me walking into the store, asked what my likes and dislikes were, then proceeded to put together outfits for me. I am somebody who does not like to accessorize so I preferred clothing that is not require me to wear jewelry; splashes of color, multi fabric clothing, etc. Liz completely understood what I meant and put together multiple outfits for me without hesitation. I'd say I'm pretty picky about my style and Liz did an awesome job choosing some pretty damn near perfect outfits. She even guessed my size right! Liz did not overwhelm me while I was in the dressing room. She gave me great ideas and picked up on my interests. Liz was extremely helpful and even offered to assist me anytime I wanted her help at White House Black Market. She literally said, "free to call the store and ask if I am working that day. I will put together a few outfits for you and have them waiting so that when you walk in, you can go straight into the dressing room." Did I mention that I just bought two outfits for under $80? Did I mention that Liz is my most favorite sales associate ever in the whole wide world?!

Yes, I know Athleta is expensive -- as in, the Anthropologie of women's workout clothing -- but their sale section can't be beat. You can find such good deals in the back of their stores and in their sale section online. The ladies working at the Bayshore Mall location are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Heir customer service is spot-on. Plus, they often host workout classes led by yoga instructors and personal trainers, which is fantastic. So, basically -- if you're looking for excellent yoga attire, running clothes, or simply everyday activewear, Athleta is the place to go, and their Bayshore location is where I'd recommend (although I haven't yet been to their new Wauwatosa location, I'm sure it's just as good). [P.S. I know I sound like an advertisement... But I can't help it. I love their clothes!!]
