I came with some friends, as we realized we needed to ditch nursing bras and find some that actually fit. The service was great; they are attentive to details. They have you try on a bunch of styles so you can narrow down your preferences and work from there. I have a rather severe fabric allergy and they were helpful for me to navigate that. The cost does seem higher, especially since I'm used to buying Target bras. However, I found some quality bras, and now I don't really like my cheaper options. Update --- RE: Owner comment on a fifth star; I gave four stars because when I googled items purchased I found better prices at a department store in the region. I was referred by a friend who has had good experiences in the past, so I went in believing they were experts and would listen to my needs. I could not have been more wrong. My primary concern is NO underwires as I have a protruding breast bone which makes underwires very painful. I was assured the support was high quality design/fabric with no underwires. I took my two bras home, washed them as instructed, and wore my first one to a formal event. Halfway through the evening, I was in so much pain that I couldn't even lean forward to eat! My girls are not free range, so simply removing the bra was not an option. Fast forward to the next day, I opened the seam and lo and behold, an underwire!!! Washed bras are not returnable, it was a very expensive lesson to never blindly trust a so-called "expert". Buyer beware!! - I just received a reply that you can't find me in your system. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I cannot even tell you how disgusted I am with this store. A year ago I went into the Brookfield Allure store to buy a strapless bra for an evening gown. I paid more for this bra (over $80) than I ever have in my life and it fits me so poorly that it LEAVES RED WELTS. When I tried to return the bra, I discovered that Allure's return policy is to ONLY GIVE STORE CREDIT and all items MUST B E RETURNED IN 14 DAYS OF PURCHASE. I have never encountered either of these policies before and I have shopped all over the country in my 45 years. Because I contacted the store after the 14 days were up , both the person who answered the phone & then the manager were quite snotty to me and basically told me I was out of luck. THEN this Christmas my boyfriend calls the Mequon store and asks if they have a robe that would fit a 6'2" woman (yes, he was unaware of my bad experience at the Brookfield store). The salesgirl says yes, come in, we do. My boyfriend asks if I can return the robe if it does not fit. Salesgirl says "of course". NEVER mentions that it can only be returned for store credit and that it must be within 14 days of purchase. When I opened my present and lifted the robe out of the box, I could immediately see that it was not going to fit. The distance from the collar to the waist looked very short, as did the sleeves. I tried it on however, and sure enough, the sleeves only came to my elbows!!! My boyfriend said "don't worry, you can return it". I said only for store credit. He was convinced that was not the case and that he could get all his money back, as the salesgirl told him the robe was returnable, but NEVER ONCE MENTIONED THEIR POLICY OF ONLY GIVING STORE CREDIT. Sure enough, when he went to return it, they would only give a store credit. After many phone calls and conversations with the store manager, he can only get a store credit. Since the robe is a large, and I don't want a bra from there, he is out of luck and out almost $100, and I feel terrible for him. A professional retail salesperson would look at that robe and know in a second that it would NEVER fit a 6'2" woman. I am outraged that they would lure someone in like that and sell something, just to get the money. I will share with EVERYONE our horrible experiences at both of the Allure stores and hope to see that they soon change their method of business. read more

I had traveled here a few times, and hour and 45 minutes away from my home just for this store, as it is one of the only places in WI that I could find that truly carried extended sizes. Anything above an H. As a specialty store, this place is going to be more expensive. I have had more good experiences here than bad. The only one bad experience I had, the associate pretty much completely ignored me when I asked her for help, otherwise they would have gotten a full 5. Every other visit, has always been great. I have been able to leave the store with items in hand or with items in the mail to me from another store location. I have been able to find normal bras, sports bras, and most shocking a long line strapless bra that actually work for me. read more

Hello, friends. I'm here to tell you about this wonderful store and everything they've done for me. So, my own personal "ladies" have always given me problems. They grow, they shrink, they wear out bras like you wouldn't believe. I'm of the belief that every woman should own at least one high-quality bra for date night, special occasions, days when they want to feel hot, etc, and Allure delivers for me every time. Every time I've gone in for a fitting, the employees have all been very friendly and helpful. I feel so comfortable because I know I'm in good hands, and they know what they're doing. They always have good suggestions for color and size and shape and other details I would have never thought about. (And the bras are wonderful too. Everything I've bought here is great quality and lasts for a really long time). Not sure why Allure has so few stars just because of one salty customer who's too fond of caps lock. It's a great spot, and I would recommend it to any of my friends in need of a bra fitting. read more

I finally made my first visit to Allure to get fitted for a new nursing bra (it was LONG overdue) and I will definitely be going back! I had heard they can convert any bra into a nursing bra ($16 cost) and I just wasn't happy with the nursing options I was finding. The place is pretty and the associate was very helpful, nice, and welcoming. She brought me many styles to try on and checked in to see if she could be of assistance often. I chose my favorite and she got it set up for conversion and to be mailed to me (my choice, cost $3 shipping). She even took notes on a couple other styles I liked so they would be in the system the next time I come in. The prices are high, but you do get what you pay for. I'm excited to have a quality foundation piece in my wardrobe and after literally years of nursing I'm happy that I don't have to settle with crummy nursing bras anymore! read more

My previous visit had been on my mind, and that perfect too expensive bra that somehow I just had to have. I called on Monday to see if it was in stock, which it was not, but by Tuesday, yes a day later, it was in. I ran in to pick it up, however when I tried it on, it didn't fit quite the same. The woman (forgive me please I was rushing a bit and her name slips me) working was wonderful. She noted that it appeared I had lost some weight and it really wasn't a good fit for me. I was disappointed as this was the one bra I seriously knew I needed, yes, needed. Well, she was so helpful, listened to what I was looking for, and responded with several others to try. Another cute one I really liked but she was very honest that it was not a good fit. Note-I could tell but honestly, these two bras she could have sold me on cuteness alone. Instead, she found me one that had a bit of sexy wrapped into comfort and great support. I will be back when I'm all saved up for a special treat. I am submitting a complaint against Brooke and the company as a whole. I will never use your service again. I bought a bra there in March 3 weeks after wear the click on the shoulder band broke. It was exchange the first time great. Then 4 weeks later it broke again. In the exact same place so clearly it a product problem. Brooke fished for reasons to blame me for the bra malfunction. Then said she couldn't exchange because the manufacturer would not give the company the money back for the bra. How self serving, customer does not come first at all according to that business model. NEVER! NEVER! SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!! I agree with Beth J. This company sells a good pitch, but that is all it is. If you have a problem or want to return an item BEWARE!! I went the Brookfield store and measured. when it came time to the bra fitting I tried to explain to the sales person the look I wanted. She made me feel like i was wrong in what I wanted and that my opinion didn't matter. she was so focused on my measurements that she never took into account what shape i was looking for. I purchased two bras thinking I would give them a try. When I tried to return one of the bras that is when the real attitude from the employees started. I was never told about the "in store credit policy". So ok, i will give them another try. The new employee I worked with was even more rude. Stating "because you are plus size this is the only style of bra that will fit you". She wouldn't even let me try on the styles I had seen on line in my size. So now I have a useless instore credit of $110 that I will never use. I never even wore the bra I was trying to return, it still had all of its tags on it. So feeling discouraged I went to Brookfield Square to Victoria Secret. There i found the styles I was looking for and the sales people were great. They really listened and at half the price as Allure. So if you want granny bras that don't fit, attitude from sales people, and over priced bras, by all means shop at Allure. I walked in to try out a few styles, requesting a size that was recommended by an online calculator that takes into consideration six different measurements. When I explained this to the woman in the store, her response was something to the effect of, "That's not how we do things here." OH! Well, ok then. I'd honestly rather a trained professional do the measuring anyways, I guess. I really just wish she weren't rude about it. Except her measuring was of my underbust and overbust, (wearing a bra that did not fit properly) doing the math, and spitting out a sister size to what VS gave me. This size being the reason I needed a fitting in the first place. For me, the size seems to fit ok at first, but after a while my breasts go back to doing whatever it is THEY want to do, and not what I ask of them. The gore no longer tacks, the band slides up my back, and the underwire slides down my torso. Unfortunately for me I have issues with confrontation. So I didn't say anything, and went with it. I mean, maybe I DID need a sister size to what I already had? She brought in 3 or 4 bras to start with. She had me try one on, would check the fit, and would go back out to bring me new sizes/style to try. Everything was happening so fast, I never really got a chance to take a good look at how *I* thought they were fitting me. Since I never had the same bra on for more than 5 minutes. Once she left me to myself, I wanted to go back through the bras I thought I may want to purchase to make sure I was happy with them. Except after I got the first one on, she came back to ask, "Is everything alright?" I may be crazy (I probably am!) but to me that means she was expecting me out of the fitting room by now and was questioning why I wasn't. Again to avoid any confrontation/questions I got dressed and grabbed the cheapest one to purchase so I didn't look like I came in just for a free sizing. She even commented when I came out how she was surprised I didn't go with the other style. Which I did prefer, really. It was absolutely beautiful. Problem being it was $95 and in a size I wasn't fully sold on, due to my past experiences. Had I been able to try on other sizes for myself, and been able to choose which one I preferred, rather than just being told which one was the right one for me because her measuring tape said so, I would have most likely purchased it. I left the store fully regretting the purchase I did make. I felt it would be "wrong" to leave without buying anything after all that. Though again, I felt like I didn't have any time to check the fit for myself. Or even try on other sizes to see for myself why my initial size request was incorrect. Everything is non-refundable. So giving the customer some time and slack in trying things on wouldn't change how much they spend, other than them purchasing more. There's a reason people show up to "boutique" stores to have a fitting. I just wish this store used that to their advantage. read more

I needed to be refitted for a bra after a significant change in body weight and shape, and also needed one that would work under a specific dress. I was amazed at the difference the right fit could make, and had complete confidence in the recommendations of the staff person. Since I was essentially starting from scratch, I ended up with four lovely choices. Several years ago I had the same experience with a different staff member when I needed a change in size. I have been measured before at Victoria's Secret, but after being measured a different size by Allure, I can see why I have never been truly satisfied with the bra's that I have been buying. It's been a little while since I have shopped at Allure, but the Mequon store is very nice. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate which allows you to take the time to view all of their merchandise. The salesgirl asked if I needed assistance but did not continue to pester me or push me towards a purchase. I did buy a bra and panty set and, yes, it was on the more expensive end, but it was for a special occasion and I did not mind spending the money. read more
