This is the closest one to Evanston now that the location in Northbrook closed a few years ago. I…read morelove H&M but sizing and quality can be hit or miss, so I often have to return at least a few things from online ordering. This is a pretty good-sized store and it's well-organized with a good selection. However, returns are kind of annoying (not this location's fault, but H&M's fault as a whole). While I was returning a few items from my online order in store, I noticed something from my order that I had purchased a few days before had gone on clearance. I loved the item so obviously I didn't bring it to the store because I wasn't planning to return it. But, they had the exact same size and color as the one that I had purchased on the floor, and I had my order form with me (because I was returning other stuff). They wouldn't do a price adjustment because it was a clearance item, so instead I rebought the item in-store and then tried to return it with my old receipt. That didn't work, because apparently every individual item has a different SKU, even if they are identical. I've never seen that happen in a store before (especially a fast-fashion store).

They almost always have a sale going on, and if they don't, they have a huge clearance section in the back (right before the kids clothes). Clothes are always reasonably priced and of decent quality. Some of the things I've bought from here don't always last long, but you get what you pay for. Make sure you try on jeans and shorts before buying; they definitely fit differently than they would at other stores. At this particular location, the staff has always been friendly. I've been going here for years, but I can't remember a time when I've felt that the people working weren't genuine and kind. You can bring as many items as you want into the fitting rooms. Sometimes there's an attendant that will ask if you need any other sizes, but often times, you can just walk right in. They have an equally large men's section for clothes, which I haven't found often. This is nice if we're shopping for my brother, or if I'm looking for clothes for my boyfriend. They have a lot of selection. This is one of the best Old Navys I've been too, and one of the best places to shop in McHenry!
