Myul-Naengmyeon aka Korean cold noodles (it's a summer special dish) changed my life.

Dishes here can be hit or miss, but when they hit, they become your next hyperfixation food. Which happened when I had their Myul-Naengmyeon (which btw is a summer seasonal dish). Portions here are large, even if you get the lunch size. Entrées come with banchan. Service here is pretty straightforward. It's a no-frills, casual sit-down spot.

Decided to come here for some Korean food in Ithaca. We ordered spicy rice cakes and spicy squid over rice. The waiter seemed to be a bit confused on what we ordered. The spicy rice cakes were not good. The spicy sauce they were in tasted a bit too thick and too sweet than normal. The rice cakes were also a bit stale and not chewy. The spicy squid over rice however was pretty good.

Unassuming hole in the wall korean/Chinese place in collegetown. I've been several times in the past, but today was the first time I had to wait for a table. The wait was pretty short, though. We ordered the special fried rice and two stone pot bibimbaps. Everything came out quickly and piping hot. The bibimbaps had an over easy egg on top. I loved that the bibimbap came in a hot stone pot because the rice got crispy at the bottom. Everything was flavorful and the bulgogi meat was tender. This is a no frills korean restaurant that gets the job done and serves solid food at reasonable prices(in big servings!). I will definitely be back.

nice little korean restaurant in ithaca's collegetown. ordered the bibimbap with bulgogi, which tasted pretty average and not worth the price tag. the black iced tea was also a bit overpriced, but given the inflated cost of living in ithaca, that's what you can expect. the staff was pretty nice, but it's hard to justify paying this much when you're getting pretty average food. probably the best korean food in collegetown though, for what it's worth.

My friends and I walked in after a road trip up to Cornell so you can guess we were all starving. We got seated quickly and food came out in a reasonable time even though it was a party of 9. This place got some real spicy food. My friend asked for less spicy and still died. Service was overall friendly and quick.

Favorite place to hit up for Chinese-Korean food- or at least the best 3 dishes they have to offer (in my humble opinion). Pictured here are the black bean noodles and sweet and sour chicken (jjajangmyun, tangsuyuk). I've recently came back from Korea and I'd say that they're both pretty authentic and tasty. A bit expensive for the tangsuyuk, but share it with a couple friends and it's definitely worth. Not pictured here but also a fave is the jjampong (seafood soup). Portion sizes are great-- don't expect too much service here, but it's part of the charm!

The food was really good and the owner was very nice. He came over to our table and explained to us that there was a new chef who didn't use MSGs in the food. He gave us some kimchi jjigae on the house to try, and true to his word, it was very good and tasted like home cooking. I would recommend the kkanpoong shrimp, kimchi jjigae, and jjamppong the most. The other things on the menu are great as well but those three are my favorite. The kkanppong shrimp is especially crunchy and tasty, and I think even those not familiar to Asian food would enjoy it as well.

I had a ok experience here the first time eating korean food so I haven't come back in a while. But a friend recommended the Mala Xiangguo here so I came back, and it was pretty good. The corn pancake was also really good dipped in condensed milk that we asked for. The owner is super nice and tried to make our meal the best it can be. Would recommend to get some authentic chinese food in Ithaca

Authentic spicy dry hot pot. Very small portion for 17.99.. crazy. Won't come again. Wish the owners could be more generous.

Worst customer service ever. You can't order take out either, closes super early saying they don't have rice anymore.

It's one of those places where you need to know exactly what to get to have a good experience. If you want the perfect affordable meal for two people (they note two but honestly if your friend group is small backed like us, three might also do the trick), head on right over and try their casseroles. If you want to perfectly replicate our experience, try their Boo Dae Jeon Gol, better known as Korean army stew (for curious folks and my fellow food baddies, definitely check out this link about the history of this sexy dish: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budae-jjigae#:~:text=It%20also%20goes%20by%20the,stew%2C%20and%20spicy%20sausage%20stew.&text=The%20dish%20has%20its%20origins,Korea%20was%20experiencing%20significant%20poverty. ) It's not a healthy meal for sure nor is this the best budae jigae I've ever had (quite bland for what it is) but omg, it's definitely THE ONE where you can have the most bang for the buck. They have an massive hotpot pan just for their casseroles. My friend and I, both very hungry college students, literally could not down this thing. The menu also mentioned to "share with my people" but perhaps it was a warning all along. The soju here is pretty expensive per bottle, which is a bit of a letdown. However, I do like their green grape soju and the specific brand that they have; it doesn't have that alcohol taste upfront, which is arguably dangerous. Will I willingly come back? Probably notttt, heh heh. There are better places out there to spend your money and time. Nothing about the food or the atmosphere really wowed me. It's just okay for a casual meal, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.

I've been here countless times, and the service has always been good. With regards to the food, it's always serviceable and sometimes pretty decent. Another advantage of Four Seasons is how open they are to sake bombing - it's one of the top sake bombing locations in Collegetown.

We didn't have a reservation and everywhere was packed. Thankfully, we were able to snag a table here. We ordered the bulgogi burger, spicy tuna, and ubboki. The burger was... interesting. Definitely creative but poorly executed. There used to be a burger place in Atlanta that served Asian-fusion burgers and they were incredible but unfortunately closed during Covid. I was hoping this dish would be reminiscent of theirs but did not meet my expectations. The actual meat had a thick layer of fat that covered the whole bottom side of the meat. The bread was soggy and the American cheese did not pair well with the sweet bulgogi sauce. I think a swiss or more mild cheese would've paired better. The spicy tuna was not how it was advertised. The photo was rather dark but seemed to depict a dish closer to ahi tuna? The tuna was not raw but tasted like canned tuna and had a garlicky aftertaste. Not horrible, just not expected and a strange combination of flavors that did not work in harmony. They attempted to pair this tuna "dip" if you will with garlic bread. The slightly spicy fishy flavor did not meld well with the garlic bread at all. A truly confusing dish. The noodles were fine. Nothing phenomenal. I would probably just stick to ordering tteoboki instead of the ubboki though. Service was not very good, the waiters were rather rude and not very attentive. Banchan was not good either. Overall, I really wanted to love this restaurant, but will not be returning and would not recommend.
