I will say that I absolutely love this place. I go there all the time I have a package and I will honestly not normally go anywhere else. But I do have one point of contention which is that today I went at quarter to 4:00 when I know that they close at 4:00 on Sundays and they were closed. Not one to ever leave a bad review, however my experience yesterday at 4:13PM was very disappointing. Went through the car wash and parked near the vacuums to get my car hand dried and tire shine placed on my tires, like the norm. It was then that I was told by a very nasty worker by the name of Mentheas or matteas, that they "were going home because they are closed". I stayed and explained to two kind female workers that I had just paid over $24 for a car wash and expected my car to be hand dried and tire shine placed on my tires. The man continued to talk about how they were closed and even told his coworkers not to provide the service for me. If they were closed, why take my money and let me go through the car wash and refuse to provided a service that is included with my car wash? Very poor customer service to tell a paying customer who visits weekly this. read more

I just paid for the most expensive car wash Gander's offers; a complete interior and exterior cleaning. Imagine my surprise when the lady to whom I had given my keys returned literally five (5), minutes later and informed me my truck service was complete. I immediately went to the far side of my vehicle and observed that nothing had been wiped down and no armor all had been applied. The front grill was still full of soap suds! When I opened the door, it was immediately apparent the carpet had not been vacuumed and the windows had not been cleaned. The top of the dash had been addressed but literally nothing else had been done inside. Yes, I was hot and received nothing but attitude from the workers. The manager tried to assist but she kept towing the company line that everything had been done and maybe I was just picky. When I rejected that argument out of hand, she told me not to come back. Don't worry, $55.00 for a simple wash and a lot of lies is not something I care to repeat. Congratulations Gander, you have now achieved 'Crappy' status. read more

We have an old Volvo SUV that we keep around as an extra car for our kids to use, but never really wash. So it has a LOT of caked on grime and sap and other things from neglect. Our son, home from college, took it out today and it came back all shiny. He said he ran it through the wash here but it didn't make much of a dent in the caked on grime, nor did he expect it to. But when he was vacuuming, two workers came over and brought the manager. The manager insisted on running it through again (for free) and then they spent about 15-20 minutes scrubbing it down and getting all the grime off. No one asked them to do this -- they have such a sense of professional pride here that they were going to get it as clean as they could. My son was bowled over. Outside of my car was washed by a machine. Inside was cleaned by several workers. The front passenger seat still had my grandson's muffin crumbs on it and my drivers door had a big white spot that was not removed. I wiped it clean when I got back to my office. The interior of my passenger side window was horribly scratched after a car wash. It will likely require replacing the entire window or at least the tint. I got a call from the owner, which I appreciated. He immediately denied that there was even a remote possibility that it was his staff and told me it must have happened when the window went up and down. (The scratches are both vertical and horizontal and most certainly not due to mechanics. Plus I don't roll that window up and down.) After a few more exchanges, he then decided that it must have been my dog. (Mind you he has never seen either my car or my dog.) Refused to even acknowledge the possibility that it was on the car wash although I am 100 percent confident that the scratches were not there prior. I am shocked by the level of disrespect. I understand accidents happen but it was the attitude that really causes my disbelief and the reason I would never go back. read more

Up until recently, I only did the exterior wash and that was always good - and still is (though sometimes it doesn't seem to get all the bird crap off). Lately, I started adding interior cleaning. The first time was pretty good - a few fingerprints still showing on the center console screen, but everything else looked good. Unfortunately, this last time I had left some change in the cup holder in the center console. That was gone when I got the car back. It's not much money - that isn't the point - it's that it was removed. Not sure if it was thought to be there as a "tip"? Not sure, but it's bothersome that something was taken without permission. Not sure if I would do interior cleaning again - at least without first having to remove anything of value. Just be aware of this if you do interior cleaning. P.S. I always hand the staff a tip when I'm told the car is ready. I figured that was the proper way vs. leaving change in the cup holder? read more

I've never really done any car wash services before but an employee walked me through the whole process and checked in on me to assure I was satisfied every step of the way. I got the Ultimate exterior and interior selection with that coupon, and my car looks and smells GREAT! I'm mostly excited about the interior because it needed some cleaning!!! I just tried this place for the first time today. I honestly don't think I could have brought in a truck more wrecked on the inside and out. Salt on the outside and the finest glitter you've ever seen, deep in the flooring on the inside (oh the joys of moving crap around for the holidays) anyways Gander's ended up doing a phenomenal, actually more like fantastically mind blowing job at getting it clean. 1st time through and they broke my antenna and basically said they weren't responsible due to the signs at the entrance to the wash bay , but kids Pre spraying reminded me to put the mirrors in and unfortunately didn't say anything about the antenna. Feel that warnings should be more pronounced than a grouping of signs that all blend together. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, do it yourself much better job. read more

I have used Gander's many times with mixed results. The exterior wash system does a decent job, but you sometimes need to ask them to dry the exterior if you're not doing the interior also, in which case they wipe down the exterior as well. And the wash often doesn't remove tar and some bird poop - that has to be done by hand with the interior clean. You have to ask them to clean things you want to make sure are done if you add the interior package. Some of the staff do a minimal job on the interior/trunk and you have to check their work if you want to make sure it's done thoroughly. I have left before doing that on occasion and regretted it. Now I always look at everything before tipping and exiting. I was disappointed to find that upon arrival at the credit kiosk at 5:30 (they close at 6pm) the machine refused an interior cleaning. When I found a manager, she told me the interior clean option cuts off automatically at 5:29pm. I had always been told to arrive at least 20 mins before closing if I wanted an interior clean as it can take that long. An auto cutoff at 5:29 is ridiculous, especially when they don't advertise it. They lost my business today. read more

I tried Gander's Car Wash for the first time on 12/29/18 late afternoon as I had heard a ton of great reviews from very pleased customers raving about the new carwash near target. A family member of mine had even requested a gift certificate for Gander's Car Wash as a Christmas gift, which she got. The facility itself was clean, free wifi and the employees were helpful but the quality of the service was definitely not worth the $27 that I paid for the deluxe wash. The exterior was good, the interior - not so much. If I had not been in a rush I would have went back for them to redo my extremely streaky windshield and far from spot less carpet and hatchback area. Once I left the facility and the sun light hit the window it was really really bad, I ended having to re-do the windows myself as the streaks made the driving visibility a challenge. read more
