Always good! Always amazing service! This is our go to sushi place now in all of Carson city.

Have been looking for a great sushi spot and may have finally found it. We usually aren't ayce fans but decided to go for it since it was our 1st time there. Our favorites were Carson City roll. Ganbaru roll and favorite by far was the CR7. All of the fish tasted really fresh and the restaurant was very clean.

Good sushi for a good price. I had the AYCE. It was good. Service was quick. Good presentation. 4 stars instead of 5 because the qual egg shooter was terrible and had no qual egg. Some of the sushi rolls had a lot of rice and very little filling. Otherwise everything was on point.

My family & I tried this place out & were pleasantly surprised. The menu had some rolls we hadn't tried along with our regulars. Everything was very tasty & fresh. The rolls were the perfect size for us. Our daughters ordered the salmon platter & the tempura shrimp platter. Both of those were good also. The salmon platter was exceptional! We all had the tempura bananas for dessert which were yummy too. The waitresses we had were very friendly & kept our drinks full. The sushi chefs forgot a couple of the rolls we had ordered, but that's the only thing I can say that wasn't great (but even with that, they made the rolls as soon as we mentioned a couple were forgotten & apologized). The restaurant itself is very bright, clean & inviting. We will definitely be back!

Plant walls. Not the kind that needs watering though.

This place will shoot up to number one really fast! Freshest fish! And they have Escolar! Friendly staff. AYCE includes appetizers and dessert. Reasonable as the quality was super! We were actually headed to In n out. Then we saw this place and made a bee line. They've not been open for long but get yourself down here! They know what they are doing! Say hello to William and Luis, nice guys and made all our treats to perfection.

Look--when it comes to sushi, I'm loyal. I know what I like, I have my spot, and I don't sway. But word on the street was that this new sushi in Carson was worth checking out. So, of course, curiosity won--and wow, am I glad it did! This place is legit. In a region packed with sushi heavyweights, this spot holds its own--and dare I say, might've knocked a few giants off their thrones. First off, the rolls are slightly smaller with less rice than most places--which might sound like a negative, but it's actually genius. You don't get stuffed too fast, which means you can sample MORE. More rolls = more joy = winning at life. The ambiance? Fun, energetic, but not overwhelming. The service? Michelin star-level plate ninjas. Empty plate? Gone in 60 seconds. Water low? Already refilled before you noticed. And the rolls? They came out fast. Like, "did they read our minds?" fast. Every single one we ordered was spot-on, beautifully made, and landed on our table in under five minutes. I don't know what kind of sushi magic this is--but I am here for it. If you're in the area and looking to expand your sushi horizons without straying too far from the classics, this place is 100% worth it. I'll still be loyal to my usual spot...I just have two now ;) But Carson's got a new contender that might just steal your sushi heart.

Phili roll, the rice was bad and nasty.

I got a Philli roll, something didn't seem right about how the rice was prepared. Maybe they didn't use the right kind of rice or it wasn't prepared properly but it was funky and nasty and did not taste right.

The upside down shrimp and tuna were pretty tasty and Ceviche roll was also good. Skip the albacore.
    Shira M.

Its ok. I liked the ceviche roll. The albacore was not fresh at all. But the rest was ok. We were one of 2 tables and the server seemed miserable and not very attentive.

A new sushi place in Carson City The Food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Ganbaru is in the shopping center where the In-N-Out is in Carson City and a little strip mall. Fantastic food outstanding service all you can eat sushi. Everything was so tasty that when it comes to sushi how do you stop? Seriously ! you have to at some point so when you're in Carson City or you live in Carson City, come check out the sushi at Ganbaru! You won't be disappointed!

Lots of natural light, comfortable seats at the bar, staff are friendly, attentive, and skilled. The fish is fresh and rice is properly portioned. All of the rolls are available for lunch and dinner (no dinner only rolls). The nigiri menu is vast with a few unique offerings.

I am not too sure how this place is getting the high stars it has... the food was not very good. Their dipping sauces were terrible, the (pictured) rainbow roll had the most skimpy of fish portions imaginable. I do have good things to report though...! The server was quick and responsive but there was only me and one other table occupied by one other person. The restaurant was clean, but perhaps because not too many customers...? Anyway, I very rarely do this, but I asked for my check early and after paying, left the entire meal besides the couple of bites I had taken behind. Not good. I then went next door to the ramen place and got a great meal! Sad to say, but I do not recommend this establishment.

This place is absolutely delicious! We stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. We were served by the owner and he is so friendly. The CR7 is my favorite roll of all times. They cleaned our dishes as soon as we were done. I enjoyed my free sake during the weekday. Everything was so yummy! The place is bright and fresh definitely coming back.

First off, nigiri. These are HUGE and they come with a sizable slab of sashimi cut fish on top too. Pro-tip is to order less than you think you'll eat, because the size is sure to surprise and they will fill you up quickly. Don't sleep on the specialty nigiri here OR he Scallop Supreme appetizer, which is seared scallop sashimi! Second, sticking with the size matters theme, the hand rolls. Spicy salmon, spicy scallop and scallop OG are all stellar, and you will be blown away by the amount of seafood stacked in these when they arrive. One is easily an entire maki roll worth of filling and you will be stoked when you sink your teeth in. I definitely ordered at least two spicy salmon hand rolls and should have had a third. Third, massive maki, perfectly proportioned and portioned for sharing. Do yourself a favor and order the Pink Fire with spicy yellowtail seared with togarashi, sesame oil, salt & pepper wrapped in soy paper, then topped with seared tuna, yummy sauce, teriyaki, ponzu, green onions, chili flakes, & sesame seeds. The Double Down is another winner with salmon, tuna, yellowtail on the inside, then topped with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, tobiko, avocado. FOURTH, don't skip dessert! Can you say house-made ice cream?? I can and I'd say it two or three times here if they'd let me. This stuff is SERIOUSLY good. Desserts are not an afterthought here and you need to save room. FIFTH, last but 100% the most important and not least, SERVICE IS STELLAR! Yes. They are on it. They love what they serve. They're a solid team and this place wins as a result! On a previous visit, I was seated in the back of the restaurant, which I was fine with at first, until I realized that's also where staff eat. One employee sat down near me on his break and was loudly eating with his mouth open, shoveling food in with his chopsticks right in my line of sight. It was uncomfortable and honestly pretty gross, to the point that I asked to move tables. On my most recent visit, the service was again disappointing. After my drink was dropped off, my server basically disappeared -- no check‑ins, no options offered, and it took a long time to get anyone's attention for simple things like refills or the check, even though it wasn't that busy. The sushi itself is fine and the prices are reasonable, but between being seated next to an employee loudly eating his break meal and the consistently inattentive service, it's hard to relax and feel like a valued customer. With other sushi options in the area, I'd rather go somewhere that feels a bit more professional and attentive.

I've been the many AYCE restaurants, and this spot takes to cake for the quality and quantity they give. Each roll doesn't look/ taste rushed. The nigiri was fresh and were large cuts!
