Very professional but down to earth. Amazing store that keeps up with current games and has old ones and knowledge to boot.

This system currently sells new for 400.00 at Walmart. Verbally over the phone the guy said, "I could give you 145.00 for it." Already a bad offer, we drive there and the guy inspects it then proceeds to tell us, "Okay 125.00." Upon telling him that he stated over the phone 145.00 and not 125.00 (which was absolutely true), he continued to lie and insist he stated 125.00. On eBay, a used Oculus Quest 2 sells for a little more than 200.00. It was a complete rip-off and he knew it but that's how he operates -- He tells the customer a price offer over the phone, the customer drives and wastes gas to get there, then while you're there, he lowers the price and says, "I didn't say that," with a bright red face flushing full of dishonesty. Really? Let's get real here. This isn't Neiman Marcus. Never again. Avoid the game playing and incompetency of people who think you're naive because your son is selling his gaming system he never plays and just wants his own money for Christmas. I draft long thesis arguments in Biomedical Ethics and graduated from Indiana University with a master's degree and a 4.0 GPA. I am no imbecile.

This gives gaming store poor reputation. And another game store even recommended us to stop there. Never again! Calling that other store to let them know what happened.

This place is exactly what's wrong with many collecting hobbies. Yea, the selection here is pretty…read moregood. That's mostly because the prices are terrible--worse than eBay and Facebook marketplace scalpers. Case in point: there's a pokemon illustrated set that just came out. It's $17. You can still get lucky at retailers and it'll be restocked. Here, just 2 days after launch, they're selling for $50. Just nuts. I guess it's clear this isn't a "card shop," it's a scalpers storefront. Don't go here looking for Lorcana--guessing the margins are too low. Except for their singles, which they sell for $2-4....crazy pricing for Lorcana. Anyways, i won't be back. Will have to continue my search for a card shop that's ethical and somewhat reasonable. --------- Edit in response to business reply: 1) i agree conversation could go a long way. But when your pricing on a brand new Pokémon set (which doesn't have a set market yet) is already 3x MSRP, what productive conversation can happen? It's just a straight up gouge. I'm not naive to expect to get everything at MSRP, but i think 3x markup 2 days post launch is unreasonable. 2) i did ask about Lorcana. I was told you "don't carry much" and "didn't have any right now." 3) you seem to be implying that you're aware prices are high and can then be negotiated lower. If that's how you want to do it that's your prerogative, just understand that's offputting for new customers. It's hard to want to establish a relationship and have a conversation when the first impression is being taken advantage of. And when your response to pricing questions is "well the hobby is thriving!" I don't think that's off base.

It turns what for many is a great hobby into a greedy money scheme. There was not one game at this place that was priced competitively, even the least desirable games are over $5 what you could get them for at other shops. Their workers are immature and when this is communicated have a bad attitude.

Chuck, the owner, really knows how to run a business. It shows in every aspect of the store. Owning two Disc Replay locations is no accident--you can tell he understands what customers are looking for and has built a business around quality, fairness, and a great experience. The new Orland Park location is an absolute godsend for collectors like me. It's clean, bright, well organized, and packed with an incredible selection of games, movies, music, electronics, and collectibles. Every visit feels like a treasure hunt. I also have to give credit to Dannel. He runs a tight ship, and it shows. The store is consistently spotless, everything is organized, and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. It's obvious he takes pride in what he does and keeps the entire operation running smoothly. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Everyone treats customers with respect, the pricing is fair, and you never feel pressured. Whether you're buying, selling, or just browsing, it's a genuinely enjoyable experience. If you're into retro gaming, vinyl, movies, electronics, or collectibles, this is a store that's absolutely worth your time. Disc Replay Orland Park has set the standard for what a secondhand media store should be. Highly recommended!

Instead of actually checking, he led me to a section that I already knew was incorrect. I went along with it briefly to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it quickly became clear he wasn't interested in helping. Without making any effort to search or verify, he simply said they didn't have the item. He then brought over another employee who immediately backed him up rather than attempting to locate the item or provide any real assistance. This was a stark contrast to my past experiences at the Orland Park location, where employees were helpful, looked items up on their computers, and were able to locate plenty of what I was searching for. Unfortunately, the lack of effort and professionalism at this location has cost them a long-time customer. I will not be returning.
