Today I went into Kohl's for reason B. I got a $10 coupon off any purchase in the mail and I wanted to use it before I forgot about it and it expired. (Nothing's worse than $10 in free money expiring.) I went through the J Lo, Elle and Lauren Conrad sections because those are pretty much the only clothes that are fashionable for someone my age without looking like I'm stuck in my teenage years. There was no sense of order to any of the racks. What's even worse is that the hangers would say a certain size and that wasn't even the size of what was on the hanger. I grabbed a few items to try on and realized very quickly that they were all the wrong sizes. I ended up only buying a necklace that was $14 so I got out of there for $4. Kohl's is however a great store because they have fantastic sales. Everything is pretty much always 30-40% off and the sales get even better at Christmas time -- although it makes me wonder why they have to make a skirt $75 if they are going to permanently have it on sale for $50. They're faking me into thinking I got a great deal. I will say that I've only had 1 bad experience with the employees at this store. Most of the time they are pretty friendly.

Service is second to none and will make adjustments regardless of where you bought your suit. John Cicco's should be your first port of call. As I recall they also have a line of suits that are fully made in the USA if that is important. If you have a low budget buy a used suit somewhere and bring it here to get it to fit properly. They will not judge or not work on suits that are not their own. They will just do everything they can to help you.

I bought a $900 Hart suit. After 3/4 wears (no rough usage), the pants began to rip along the pocket line. I took it up there and (rudely, as usual) was told "well you probably put your hands in the pockets." First, I don't often do that. Second, I have a $900 suit and can't put my hands in my pockets!? I can with my suits from Kohls with no issues. She stitches them up and within an hour of wearing the next time, the stitching breaks open. I took it to a local seamstress and she fixed it without issue. A few wears after that, however, the suit bottoms ripped again in the back. Simply cheap nonsense. Somewhere during this time, I went to shop for custom button up shirts to wear for my new court clerkship. The lady urges me to get these custom-made shirts that are guaranteed to fit perfectly. She has to order them from Asia somewhere, though. I tell her very clearly that I need the shirts by the start of June (6 weeks or so from the day). The shirts come in a month or so later, and they don't fit whatsoever. Not close. Mind you these shirts were $100 a piece. Most were basic white button ups. $500 for five shirts and nada. She then says she will tailor them for me. I wait, and wait.. nothing. By this time, I'm well into my clerkship and the point is moot. I show up later to discuss something else (the pants above) and she says "oh I called you." Well, I never received a call to my knowledge. Wouldn't you call again? You'd think, especially because of the time frame and their screw up. She then acts as though it's my fault and reluctantly refunds me. In addition to the above examples, I have noticed their prices are ridiculously high. Most things you can find elsewhere or online for 60% of the price. Tom is pretty cool and helpful/knowledgeable but the lady who runs it is borderline insufferable. Their suits are overpriced and cheap quality. Shoes too. If you want to spend $900 on a suit you can't wear, $500 on custom shirts that don't fit and take months to arrive, and be treated like a burden -- look no further! This is the shop for you!

So I start looking for the Yelp entry to leave this feedback and found out this place also offers haircuts and beer. What a concept!!! I am a little bit jealous of men who live in Morris, IL, now. Every suit that leaves the door is tailed to fit you 100% if you have a arm 1/16 of an inch shorter than the other it gets taken care of. She was on exactly the same wavelength for me and my partner. She was so knowledgeable in regard to the most flattering cut for his body type.
