Takes about 45 mins to trade in a game or anything. To purchase something it takes about 15 minutes or more. Very inefficient workers. I just go online. Why there to trade in a controller and there was a line. It took 25 minutes for one person to trade in a controller and then about 2 minutes to get read for the next person waiting to trade in. This store used to be my go-to place, i would always call ahead of time to see if they had what i wanted and they always picked up, fast forward to today, i called several times yesterday with no answer. And again i called today... no answer. I just went in because i want a specific game and there was one girl working and another guy who may have worked there just leaning on the counter on his phone. The girl with all the face piercings was already helping another customer but stopped mid way to help me, i asked my question and she halfway answered before walking away with me to continue her other customers. To begin, I've been to this location about 4 times to either try and look for available pokemon cards, submit cards for a psa submission, or to look for available video games. Each time I always leave annoyed due to the awfully rude staff and terrible customer service. Specifically the employee Asher. Most recently when I went in asking for details to send a submission of my cards to psa this employee was very annoyed at the fact I didn't know how the process worked and wanted to learn. Upon learning I started the submission process and throught the entire time this employee was very rude and condescending. If I could give this gamestop branch zero stars I would. Poor service. Poor communication. Poor resolution. Background: We were closest to this branch when we decided to pre-order Pokemon ZA. We fully paid it and received the receipt weeks back. Today: We called this store many times to get Pokemon ZA pre-order information before we headed out, and not a single answer throughout the day so we decided to just head. Upon arriving, not a single employee shared that there would be a ticket number process for pre-orders. We came 2 hours before the Pokemon ZA launch, went in the store, asked around and was not told to get a ticket number. We then lined up before 9pm for the distribution of the game. Store was completely closed and only one employee was handing out pre-ordered games. With our fully paid receipt in hand, we were told that they couldn't give the games to us because we didn't have a ticket number. The employee explained that she couldn't give it because the "register is down" so they can't associate the receipt to a "pick up" number. "The pre-order system is separate from the pickup number system." That's it. No resolution. Just an apathetic apology. What a waste of 3 hours. 1 hour to get to this branch roundtrip and 2 hours of waiting. First: Not everyone is aware of this ticket number process for pre-orders (which is highly inefficient). If someone has a fully paid receipt for a pre-order, there should just be a barcode to scan in order to provide the game unit. Second: What is even the point of this ticket number process? Requiring your customers to come in before 9pm to get a ticket number and then requiring them to line up to get the unit when they have a fully paid receipt is such an unnecessary process. Third: Why is there 2 different systems for one process? And why is the pick up number system down during a pre-launch when customers could possibly not have gotten a ticket number? No backup process was in place. So disappointed with this branch and its employees. GameStop should also upgrade its process and systems. read more

Where do I start with the trash service at this location. The female manger is the worst. Why they kept and transferred her when her last branch was shut down is beyond me. Every opportunity she gets, she tries to screw over each customer she comes across. She never gets away with her nonsense with me because I make sure I put her in her place. From telling customers to take their returns to other branches, or trying to refuse customer refunds, to not greeting customers, not asking if anyone needs help, not answering phone calls from paying customers (ever), I could go on all night with her shenanigans. The only reason the Whittier store doesn't shut down because of her terrible service is because so many other locations already shut down and there is no where for other customers to go. I drove an hour out of my way to attempt to submit some collectible cards for PSA grading and not only was I unable to do so, the employee on duty was short, unhelpfull and unapologetic for the inconvenience. Supposedly the store manager was in a meeting in the back and required the use of the one iPad they had to perform the processing of the PSA grading. To make matters worse, he told me to go to the Santa Fe Springs location, and good thing I called, because they don't do PSA grading at this location. If you're looking to do PSA grading through Game Stop, I highly discourage that route. read more

We tried to return a game to Fullerton but they recently permanently closed. All Orange County stores have closed. By the time we drove to this location, 20 mins from home, they would not return a game, because it was now 10 days outside the return window. If I could give this place a zero I would. I went in to preorder the switch 2 and waited for about an hour. When I got to the register to preorder I told the worker by the name of Trevor that my sister and I were each going to preorder one. I told him more than 3 times not once did he tell his other coworker to help my sister with the preorder while he did mine. Once he finished with mine he says o well there's no more to reserve after I clearly told him before his other coworker Justin rang up 3 different people that were behind us in line. Then Justin got into the conversation yelling at me that why did my sister not say something to him or come over to the register even though he was calling the other people in line who appeared to be people that he knew what a coincidence one person was able to preorder 2 when it was 1 per household. I asked for the cashiers name Justin and in a rude way he lifts up his name tag. Then a customer that was in the line started yelling at me why do you need his name? Why are you bullying him? The cashier Justin instead of calming the situation start yelling thank you thank you encouraging the customer yelling at me. Every guy that was in the store then proceeded to yell and tell me things not one of the three associates told them to calm down but encouraged the situation to escalate. Mind you my mother, sister, and me were the only women in the store other than one of the associates. I have never been discriminated based on gender in my life like at this store. What kind of people they have working there just because you are a woman they feel they can speak to you anyway they like. I hope the employees and manger see this because yes I contacted corporate and the district manger is aware and is launching an investigation. Hope no women experiences anything like this because I'm sure Justin has spoken to other women like that is he was comfortable speaking to me that way. She literally accused me of stealing because I told her my online order was missing a game. So instead of helping she told me to leave the store empty handed. So disappointed We brought our chairs to wait for Game Stop to open for Black Friday and there were 3 chairs out and 1 guy sitting in one of the chairs. He told us he was an employee and him and his friend next to him were getting the 2 PlayStation 5's and that we were wasting our time as he knew there were only 2 available. He then stated he was holding spaces for another one of his friends for an X box. As people would show up he made sure to tell them that there was only 2 available and he knew that because he was an employee. Someone drove up and offered to buy the unit from his friend for 900 and his friend stated he would be selling it for over 1000. Game Stop is allowing their employees to be first Person in line instead of the public. This is collusion. Drove down here to check and there was a line about 20 deep. When we asked the kid walking around restocking (Andrew) to check so we didn't wait in line for nothing,he said he would. Never did. After sitting in line for 10 minutes, asked Andrew if he checked. He said to wait in line. Wtf? He wasn't doing anything! The place itself was clean but the staff would do a poor job in managing the checkout lines. They would often let people cut in front of the line and do nothing about it.
