Joses (I believe it's spelt) is the absolute best! My boyfriend and I are POP collectors and he's always there to help. He always answers any questions we have and takes his time with us. Offers pre orders and follows up on his promises. We have issues with other Game Stops in SCV not calling us when pre orders come in and at times we never end up receiving our pre orders. He always makes a point in contacting us to let us know out items are in. The rest of the staff is amazing as well. We refuse to place pre orders at any other GameStops now. read more

The used game section is ungodly awful. Most games are nasty and unclean with broken cases and are overpriced some retailing as much as new games. The 3DS games are stuck in a case with some reaching $50(you can get these games on eBay for like $20). Also why are there more low quality toys and t-shirts then games??? read more

I've been screwed over by Gamestops *coughcoughStevensonRanchlocationcoughcough* in the past, telling me that I would like a game that clearly wasn't for me and the like just so they could get the sale, but this is a really good location. The staff is really cool, and more importantly, knowledgeable and honest. It's nice being able to go to a Gamestop and chat with the employees about certain games and the console race. They always know what they're talking about, they're always professional, and I've yet to be steered wrong by them. It's a good location if you're looking to get games for yourself or for someone else if you don't know much about games. They seem to know what they're talking about and steer you in the right direction of what you're looking for. read more

Cory was extremely rube to me tonight in store . I came in to sell my Xbox and he originally quoted me 100$ (when they retail my same console used for 249$ in store ) then AFTER he wipes it he tells me he's going to give me $50 ???? Because of a controller he told me in store he could fix "easy" . This store is a joke and I am honestly so offended at how I was treated I am taking this matter up with corporate (seeing as Cory told me he was the manager of this location) DO NOT GO HERE !!!! The store automatically adding the warranty on every game. If you don't catch them and tell them that you don't want it you're paying for it which is nonsense. Very shady business practice they deserve to go out of business... read more

Upgrading my review. The staff here has consistently steered me in the right direction when I have showed up looking to roll the dice on a new/used game, but have no clue which one. I know they won't always be right, but so-far-so-good. I usually end up grabbing a couple games, but not because I am pressure sold. It's actually the opposite, they are super laid back and just offer great feedback based on trying most games already. read more

I'm so upset, my friend and I drove out of our way while speeding mind you to get to this GameStop because we knew they closed at 9pm. When we arrived at 9 on the dot, they were already closed with the gates pulled shut and everything. We knocked on the glass door and asked if we could just purchase one game, and the guy working rudely told my friend that he already turned down the computers and couldn't help us. Hmm, funny, it's literally 9pm when you guys are supposed to be closed and yet your computers are down? Sounds more like someone who just wanted to leave early. I love GameStop don't get me wrong, I buy most of my games from there, I'm just really disappointed with how this visit turned out. Ugh! read more

I have good memories of this gamestop as it was the first to open in the Santa Clarita area, it came in around 2002. They had tons of games for Nintendo, Super Nintendo, 64, etc. Great prices, and for the most part very nice employees. I used to go here so often that I recognized everyone who worked here. Around 2005, Gamestop merged with EB games and decided to stop selling games N64 and older. No more classic games, and with this Gamestop lost alot of its personality. They used to ask if I wanted preorders beforehand, or ask if I had an edge card, but were never pushy about it. Now it seems that they are forced to try their hardest to get us to preorder and buy their edge card. It's not the poor employee's faults though, it's most likely all corporate policy. I also hate how the last few times I've gone in I've been treated like a fool who knows nothing about games. I've played classic Nintendo games for my entire life (since I was 7) and have had employees saying stuff to me like "Hey hows it going, did you guys know there's a new Nintendo DS coming out and we're taking preorders on it, it's glasses free 3D, gonna be sick." ( 5 months after it has been announced). Or when I kindly say no thanks to wanting to preorder anything they say "well there's actually a new Legend of Zelda coming out, going to be 100% motion controlled, it's going to be really great and we are accepting preorders now, what about Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3?" I have been treated like an idiot for the last time. Im sorry, but myself, and lots of people going into the store read about these games the day they were announced. If I was a soccer mom that would be different, but I'm a nerdy looking person, with glasses and a Megaman shirt on, I think I know about videogames. Their prices are high, they rip off little kids all the time (give you 20 for a game and sell it for 55). I know they are a business and need to make a profit but it's just too little of a price for anyone who has an ebay or amazon account to even start considering. Also, many times since it first opened I have been subject to their machines going incredibly slow (taking 15 minutes a person) due to corporate servers acting up and it is always dreadful. This place is really terrible, those more experienced with gaming retail practices already know to go to the internet or places like K-Mart, and those who know nothing about games are better off at Walmart or Target. Now to end this review in true Gamestop fashion. ive had better service at other gamestops, Big store, Clean, but no-one said hello when I came in. Blond Lady Manager was busy doing her paperwork instead of helping me out.. needed help with some of the games and questions on systems but when she decided she was ready to help she asked if I needed help and for me it was to late had lost interest went to different location.. The store overall is not bad just wished there was better employees working that wanted to help you out instead of ignoring till they were ready to help. read more

If everywhere else fails then I head over to Gamestop. Not my favorite of places to shop, although staff is helpful and friendly, when they finally get around to it. They always seem to feel that customers are not priority. I was there right before Christmas and they were very busy and I stood there for 20 min until someone acknowledged and helped me. My children love video games and introduced me to this place years ago. Their staff is always helpful and polite no matter how busy they are. They really know alot about games and consoles and will happily educate you if you aren't in the know. I mean they often will tell you all about a complicted game and make it simple for you. They also aren't expensive and sell used games that are in mint condition. Even though their stores are small they can give you low prices like Walmart of Target. But unlike the latter, service is primary and they speak perfect English and can translate "geek speak" for the uninitiated. I would give all their stores here in Santa Clarita 5 stars. We also especially like the GameStop in Stevenson Ranch. read more
