I came to this location on Christmas eve to just browse the ps5 selection. When I entered, I was greeted by the familiar face of Sean. He did ask if I needed help and what I was looking for. After a little back and forth. I realized one of my dogs was so excited that he peed the floor. Sean noticed and grabbed some paper towels to help me clean up the mess. I Sanitized the area with a wipe that I had. Sean was very understanding and still was upbeat with helping me out. I was trying to trade in my PS4 and some games. The sales associate told me I am not suppose to wipe my PS4 hard drive and he needs your personal information and PlayStation account info still on the system in order to make sure it is not a stolen console and they would wipe it after a week. I was required to log in with my PlayStation credentials right there if I wanted to trade the console in. I found this practice sketchy and was not comfortable trading in my console with all of my personal info and PlayStation account still on it (this information is not disclosed on GameStop website). As said on the GameStop website, they ask you to wipe your hard drive before trading your console. I attached a picture of the policy. I have traded several of my different consoles and games over the years with GameStop and have never had this sketchy experience. I will not be shopping and trading with GameStop again. read more

On December 26 2023 my daughter and I went to the store to return two new unopened games and were told by the two employees of the store that it was too late to return. They said the returns needed to be made by the 7th day of the purchased date. I was disappointed that we were unable to return the new unopened games on the 8th day from the purchased date. The original store receipt has a 15 day return policy printed on it but the employees instructed me that I would need to call the corporate office to file a complaint I am sorry but I will let my friends and family know that they should start purchasing video games at other retailers that honor their return policy. read more

Nate might be the worst minimum wage employee I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. His first words were rude. I had bought a preowned game 8 days prior and then went on vacation where I was gifted the same game. Someone placed an online order for me and I called to confirm to pick up the item and they told me that the person that ordered it online had to pick up the order even tho that person called saying I was going to pick up. That person does not live in Santa Clarita. I asked to speak to the manager and she said that she was the manager. She said that it is their policy. I went on their website for in store pick up and no where it says that the person that orders online must pick up. I told her that I wanted to speak to someone else and she said that would be the district manager. I asked to speak to the district manager she said she's not allowed to give out their personal number. I never asked for their number just to speak to them. I offered to leave my information so I can get a call back she said she cannot do that either. At that point I am frustrated because I want to pick up my item that is ready. She said i had to show the id of the person that placed the order. Told her I could show her a picture of it or even FaceTime the person, she again said no that it was against store policy. I asked a sales rep if I could buy 2 copies of battlefield 4 on Xbox 360 and then upgrade them up for the Xbox one version. Sales Rep: yes. ME: Is there a limit to how many battlefield copies I could buy and then upgrade? Sales Rep: no as many as you want. ME: sweet I'll take two. (I even had to pay to upgrade my membership just so I could upgrade the games at a later time.) Deadline to upgrade the games comes so I go in to upgrade. Mitch (if thats his real name) is the store manager and was helping me. I told him I would like to upgrade the two battlefield 4 games. He informed me that I could only upgrade one per customer. I immediately got irritated and told him that one of the other associates (who was not there at the time) said that I could upgrade both. Manager said no you can't. I said so you guys just screwed me. Putting that aside I was willing to accept my losses, upgrade just one of the games and then purchase an Xbox one system while I was there. (This is where the store manager Mitch attempts to get back at me for being an unhappy customer and complaining) The store manager supposedly checks his inventory and says "Oh we don't have anymore battlefield 4 Xbox one version left. Let me check the OTHER STORES in the area. Seems we are all out at the other stores also. The closest one is in Northridge but if you want you can still buy the xbox one system with us." I said no thanks ill come back in a few days. Not trusting him I went across the street to the mall and checked the Gamestop there and they had an entire rack full of the battlefield 4 Xbox one version. Just an example of how the store manager deals with an unsatisfied customer. I almost fell for driving to Northridge but something told me he was lying. I will not be renewing my membership with Gamestop EVER AGAIN. Besides Sams Club is cheaper and the warranty they offer is better and cheaper. Screw you Gamestop! No second chances. customer no more. This store is truly run poorly. I heard the word "Sorry" to three people and myself in the store. I pre ordered an item eight months ago and when it came in, no one called to let me know! I randomly stopped in to ask... again... there it was, on the shelf. They put out the one they got without a call after waiting that long.
