Here's my list: 45 RPM vinyl singles 33 RPM vinyl albums Eight track tapes Cassette Tapes Compact Disks Digital Downloads As the state of musical technology changed, it left music lovers with a dilemma -what to do with our old purchases if we don't  listen to them anymore in their original format? Years ago, I pitched my cassette and Eight Track tapes (Trouble Man by Marvin Gaye and Superfly by Curtis Mayfield were personal favorites). But I have hundreds of LPs and CDs and really didn't know what to do with them. Until now. Today I sold four of my albums to the Trading Post as a test, and I was very happy with the results. I will be going back with more of my LPs and CDs. I exchanged e-mails with Elise, and then met her at the store and she couldn't have been more personable, helpful, professional, and just plain nice. Trading Post is most interested in 1960's-2000's rock,  reggae, and metal genres. They inspect your records for quality, their inventory and pricing data and give you an offer in either cash or store credit. She researched my four albums while I wandered around the store.  It's crammed with records, CDs, video games, tie dye everything, posters, shirts, blankets and smoking accessories. Elise made me a very fair offer, and that was enough for me to know I'll be back with my CDs and vinyl after the Holidays.

He was loud, infantile, extremely unprofessional. When I asked him for store credit, he continued to say I did not pay 120 when I absolutely did. He, like a child goes show me then, I said I will, I will return with the bank statement, he continues go I'll wait and when I said I could not at that moment because I do not have my phone on me, he sarcastically goes how convenient! - I was disgusted and stated I'm no longer discussing this with you because you are clearly immature and acting very infantile and I do hope you grow. He continued with sarcasm and not completing out my store credit, I repeatedly said, please just get me store credit thank you, again and again until finally I stopped him and said, Can You Stop?! Gesh! I said im no longer discussing this with you, you clearly do not know how to be professional. Again- all in front of my child. He finally goes, we need the controllers back, which I am very confused about since I purchased the controllers with the original purchase. Needless to say I'm disgusted by this "mans" behavior, and has for the staff, with whom he goes to me " so your saying they are lying?" I said im saying you are wrong, I would never treat staff that way I praised her and said she was a sweetheart, same with the gentleman that originally helped me. And for clarity I was asked when did you speak to someone, I said I believe a day ago or a few days ago, thats when I was called a liar and everything else. Then, I noticed that most of those reviews were written in '08 and '09. So, I went on their website, and read some reviews there. They were all positive, and recent, most from just a few weeks ago. I gave them a call to see if there was actually anyone there. I first got a recording, but, after I dialed the extension for customer service, someone answered. So, I had a more confident feeling toward them. I placed an order with them on a Monday, the item was shipped less than 30 minutes after the order was placed and my item arrived Saturday afternoon. My experience from that initial email has been such a pleasant one. I don't know how people could complain about this company. I did notice that past reviews were old, from years ago with a CT address. They are based in White Plains, NY now. This is my first time ordering from them so maybe things have changed in the last few years but I got a same day response from customer service alleviating my concerns about their DVD's. They processed my order and shipped the DVD's really quickly and I got them today. As a final check to ease my concerns, I just played each of them and they are all legit. I would highly recommend The Vintage Playhouse for your hard to find and classic DVD's. For myself, I purchased some difficult to find Disney DVD's that are in the "vault". My order was for Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I know these are DVD's that my wife enjoyed growing up and our new daughter will enjoy as well now. The store is laid out very nicely and has some interesting shelving for the records. It is like a drawer that pulls out and you can flip through the records. I picked up a Friday the 13th soundtrack on red vinyl and a Def Leppard record. I also saw on the front of the store they have many boxes of sealed cassette tape's.3 for $10.00 very reasonable for sealed mint cassette tapes. The store of course also carries compact discs and digital video discs. I found everything to be reasonably priced and very good selection of New and used records. I would definitely return here again to pick up some records tapes compact discs or DVDs to add to my collection and to enjoy watching and listening to
