The reason we came here was that my son is learning to play Pokemon, which (if you're also unaware) is a card game with more simple rules for younger audiences to play for hours on end, completely content and completely engaged. We were hoping to find some Pokemon cards for purchase, and to see if anyone was playing. We found a small selection of Pokemon products, but were completely astonished by the overwhelming catalog of Magic cards, sets, posters, mats, and several tables with several players engaging in their favorite pastime. I commented to one of the co-owners, Justin, on how cool this place was and how I didn't know anything about Magic, but could appreciate the passion that these players had around the game. Justin politely excused himself and brought me several decks of Magic cards and handed them over! He let me know that they give out free starter packs for people who are trying to see if they like the game or not. It was just a sampling of what some call "cardboard crack", Justin told me. He invited us back to play any time, and even promised to hold the last Pokemon starter set for my son to purchase after saving his allowance. This is how you run a small business : focus on something you love, your passion... show customers how much you love it... and share it! There's a huge selection of other games and accessories, but we'll be back for the Pokemon cards, and maybe an engaging game of Magic.

I'm a board gamer and I used to go to the store because they used to have a decent selection. Now everything here is basically leftover stock from when it used to be a good game store. You also didn't have a problem if you needed to use the public bathroom inside the store back when I visited originally. Apparently, now they don't let anyone, other than employees, use the bathroom in the store which I find completely ridiculous and I'm sure is against some sort of commercial code. Even when I said that I was in a tough spot and I really needed to utilize it they still wouldn't allow anyone to use it. This place is a joke and shouldn't even be in business if they're gonna treat people that way. Definitely go somewhere else if you're looking for anything board game related. He's complimented the staff and remarked that they are very knowledgeable, especially with Warhammer Fantasy. They're always willing to help (but not overbearing, as has been the case with other Games Workshop locations). There are several tables with a variety of amazingly detailed scenery set up and ready to play on, and there always seem to be games going on. But even so, him and his friends have never had a problem finding an open table. They've also been a fan of the other regulars, and we tend to see a couple familiar faces each time we stop in. This location not only goes the extra mile to plan and host special tournaments, but also painting seminars to spark interest and help those who are newer to the game. The store usually has a lot of expert painters that have been more than helpful and friendly. He says he's gotten some good ideas from them.

The book portion of this place is a bit of a mess and it took me longer to find something that struck my fancy since there was no section devoted to mysteries (there was one for Sci Fi). They have a deal on comic books that was pretty nice so the visit was worth it. I liked it, even with its weirdness.
