When I had asked why he simply stated he "can't do it" I told him I understood he couldn't and asked if he could get a hold of someone who could help with it. He responded with a very loud verbal sigh, as if I was asking him to move a mountain. After contacting the manager and getting the warranty refunded, I puchased a few games. He then accidentally put the wrong game in one of the game cases. He made it seem like my fault, and I was an inconvenience for catching his mistake. The employees attitude is very off putting and uncomfortable. They give off a very lazy and aggressive impression. The selection of retro games is okay, but to avoid a "basic GameStop employee" interaction I would definitely recommend the GameStop in Lee summit over this location.

My one lament is selfish, and that's the fact that the antique books were, from what I understand, for display only (I collect antique books, so I always have an eye out for places to browse for them). I believe the person I met there when I went was the owner, who was extremely friendly! Plus I love that it's a locally owned store. Overall I really loved visiting and browsing. Monarch is definitely one of my go-to bookstores now!
