I've really held out hope for the GameStop Franchise. As a 26 year old man, GameStop was my absolute stomping ground in my childhood and up until recently as an adult. This GameStop location in particular could perhaps be cursed or destined to fail. Likely both. My experience was entering the store to purchase two PS5 games. One as a gift and one for myself. The associates here are quite, unique, to put it simply. They love to use a wide range of colorful vocabulary, and in this instance, pick their nose and eat it. Boy do I love it when my new PS5 games are smeared in nose goo. I approached the counter with both of my games. Immediately the associate began his spiel about game warranties. I politely declined. For the next five minutes, this associate proceeded to try and convince me otherwise. After 10 "no's", he relented. Listen, if I wanted this sort of haggling I would go to a car dealership. After checkout, I was met with an angry look and the silent treatment. And no I'm not some Karen reading into things, this man was genuinely upset that I didn't get warranties on my games. So, in summary. If you love Pre-Boogered physical media and the used car salesman specialty, this location is the right place for you. read more

This store is gross. We purchased a PS5 game for our nephew for Christmas, not realizing the version he owns doesn't have a disc drive. No problem, we can return it! We waited on line at Game Stop ahead of two guys who were selling back games and who knows what else. They were both complaining about being in a rush and they were high as kites. Classy. Receipt and PS5 game in tow, we were told by the cashier that we couldn't return the game because the return window expired on January 11th. We said, "But that's today". She replied, Yeah, it expired". We then said, "Actually it DIDN'T yet expire...if YESTERDAY was January 11th, then it would have expired". She looked at us as if we were speaking another language. She called her manager on his cell, and he said that there was nothing he could do because the cash register would never allow him to return something after the return window expired. I have ordered a same day delivery item of Pokemon cards which had a receipt with the quantity of two and only one had been delivered. This happened on 12/14/2022, here I am five days later STILL trying to even talk to a store associate at this gamestop. The line was either busy, or every time I called it would ring so long that I would get the every store associate is busy at this time. I finally reach a store associate today, and their response was, the only thing you can do is call the 1(800) number for corporate. Which by the way I have already emailed and called multiple times by this point. Some of those calls resulting in 1hr + wait times just to be hung up on, or kicked out of the call. The same associate told me that their store is not responsible for online orders, even though they sold me the items from this particular store. The crux of the problem is that these cards are being ordered directly at gamestop.com, and they are being packed by individual stores to meet the same day delivery needs, and door dash is notoriously unreliable as a company just transporting food. I would never have purchased same day delivery had gamestop told me that doordash was the courier. They give you codes that tie to the USPS, so I was under the impression that the USPS and gamestop had a business contract for same day deliveries. I was also expecting to have to sign for the package. The package was ordered at 11:30 am, and was expected by 8 pm. Throughout the day, I received emails saying your order is packed, shipped, on the way, etc. I chose to sleep roughly around 6 PM, after my last email saying that now my delivery would not be at my house until December 18th, 2022. I wake up to a picture of my delivery at the door to the rent office of my apartments, I receive a call the next morning from my rental office saying that there is a receipt for two items and that only one was in the bag... not a box, a bag... If I did not select same day delivery, I am sure this never would have happened. I needed enough time to ship out the gift for Christmas. I have been a loyal rewards member for over five years at this point, and have never had a shipping discrepancy. I do not appreciate the fact that the associate had zero answers except hey, keep calling that number that does not get you in touch with anyone.. Good luck, have fun being out 30 dollars. I regularly go to GameStop like once or twice a month so I'm a pro member and I get five dollars off each month now GameStop isn't perfect but the one I went to today takes the cake specifically The Location in New Jersey mount laurel Township I go on there website to see that They have a video game in stock that I would like to buy I Drive about 10;15 minutes to get there I'm going to the store because store closed in like an hour and it looks to be only one employee works there that looks like he works at a tattoo parlor. I'm looking at their stuff looking at the other games that they have in a guy walks in with trade in he has about four or five games employee says oh or trading machines that just went off-line I was like that's weird never heard of a trading machine before and he leaves which told me already this employee was lazy so I find my game and I go up to the cashier I show on the game gives me the regular spiel about game warrantees I politely say no to the warranty and he tells me that people like me are the reason GameStops for closing I say, in a jokingly manner, I haven't got a warranty in 25 years. I think they're kind of a scam he Then stops talking to me looks for the game in the game drawer he then comes to me and says oh I can't find the game in error in our system I didn't say anything I just walked out of the store drove back home and I'm in my chair writing this review so yeah don't go to this store read more

I was in the neighborhood after a bummer of a day and what do I see? A holiday sale at GameStop. As soon as I entered, the staff was friendly, joking with me, and help me find what I needed. I left feeling good. It's the little things in life, right? Oh, and I pulled some sweet hits from the cards I bought. So that helped. I attempted to replace my broken PS5 controller and employee insisted that they removed the price I already paid for the broken controller towards the new one but when I had to pay, it was full priced and they insisted they couldn't do anything about it. read more

don't come here at all people at this store just don't want to their jobs I came here with my little brother to refund his controller and they said that he needs our mothers debit card in order to do a refund when we PAID CASH and did not want to give him the refund because they were "low on cash" I also wanted to trade in my ps5 controller and the store manager Alex looked at me as if I was trying to scam him with a broken controller he told me to come back tomorrow bc the monitor to test the controller is not working there is no point of this establishment even running so just shut down like all the other gamestops read more

Had an unfortunate incident on Christmas Eve that was a real bummer, mostly due to employee oversight. But what's important to me is that the district manager contacted me personally, apologized, took responsibility and had genuine compassion and empathy. Sometimes you can tell that people are telling you what you want to hear, but the DM was clearly sincere. As far as I'm concerned this GameStop is as great as any other, and I will definitely give them my business in the future. read more

The manager Pedro, was very disrespectful. I purchased the wrong title of a game from Matthew. As written on the receipt, if it is new it can be returned. Apparently I had gotten a display model, the last copy, which didnt have plastic cellophane around it. I returned it and he refused to return it, other than store credit, labeled as defective. This is not only wrong to the customer, but to corporate as well, as I didnt even open the case! Won't go back! read more
