My boyfriend had gone into this location to switch out a headset for which we paid protection, not once, but twice. The headset we paid for was recommended to us by GameStop employees, and not even two weeks after obtaining the product, it became extremely static. We got another replaced, and a few days after the product broke again. My boyfriend then went into the store and spoke to the manager, Jason and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. He told us that he was unable to exchange the product and recommend us a different store 20 miles away. I then later called the same gamestop only to be disrespected on the phone and even hung up on me mid-sentence. Will not be coming here again. read more

Not at all happy with the gamestop on northern pkwy. The guy Abe working there let me stand in his line for 10 to 15 minutes and then when he was almost done with the person in front of me, he tells me that the line actually started somewhere else. While i'm fine with waiting in line, especially during holiday season, I'm not okay with waiting at least 10 minutes, allowing others to get in the line before me, and having to get behind them. Also, when you have a box on display, people grab it because they think it's in stock and they want to buy it. However while Abe's coworker was on the phone in the process of ringing me up, Abe grabbed the box, told me they didn't have it and tossed it aside. When I asked why it was on display he arrogantly shrugged and didn't have much of a response. The only reason I bothered to go to gamestop today, was because the website said they had that game on stock and because I had a coupon to use. I've been a patron of this store for years and I'm a rewards member but I've never had such crappy service at this store before. Typically, I'm all about supporting local businesses but I definitely won't be back anytime soon. While I'll admit that amazon may be a catalyst for many of these stores closing, it could be possible to save them with great customer service. However, great customer service was clearly not even close to what I experienced here today, so I'll look elsewhere for my video games from now on. read more

Decent Game stop with a decent selection and variety of games. I appreciated the number of older used "Wii" games they had in stock. Honestly that is the reason I ended up at this particular location. I had used the online feature of finding a game and this was the closest location. When I called the guy was friendly and helpful on the phone, however when I got to the store the other guy that helped me made checking me out seem like a burden. He kept answering the phone instead of just checking me out (prolonging my visit longer and longer) which is not fun when you are trying to corral 2 kids and keep them from getting into all the neat and cool things they have in there that are breakable. All in all I was able to get what I went in for and then some, but I wish the clerk was more focused and friendly. As being one of the businesses still open during this time of uncertainty (Corona virus) they were very aware. No more than ten people allowed in the store at a time and they literally cloroxed everything during and after we left. We will continue to go to this location! read more

Went in to trade in Nintendo switch to upgrade to an OLED Switch. Rep did not seem interested in helping did not take trade in said it was in bad shape. Switch was in good shape for being first Gen took it to another Gamestop they took trade in with no problem. Im not the one who leaves negative feedback but i thought i should say this because it's been bugging me for 2 weeks now, so I have to let it out. I asked the lady if she can price match (pokemon card pack) and she said no. Online at gamestop and bestbuy have it for $3.99 per pack. She told me that they do not do price match in store anymore. Clearly she is lying to me or do not know what she is saying. This is the only gamestop store that do not do price match. I been to other gamestop and they gladly do price match for me. Even when I told her that online at gamestop dot com, they have it for $3.99 ($4.49 at the store) and she still insist and that I should just go online and buy it there. I thought she was crazy and I left. I did not even argue with her, I feel like I was not wanted there. Im not sure if it was a racist thing because my skin is brown but Im glad I left that store. I kindly said "ok thank you" and left. Ill never go to this gamestop again. That woman need to be taught about how the store works, a better educating system because it's sad when a costumer knows more than the seller. This use to be my favorite location to shop at but as of tonight, never again. An employee named Tyler was extremely rude and had the worst attitude I've ever experienced at a gaming store. It was extremely unfortunate as the other employees at that location have generally been helpful and kind and seemed to enjoy their job. Maybe a little training in customer service and an attitude check is in need. Remember that if not for the paying customers, you wouldn't have a job. Arguing with a customer, unplugging their equipment mid update just so that you can further argue with what your website says to do when trading in systems all because you want to close up and leave and treating them as if they are a nuisance won't get you anywhere. read more

Here's the skinny on the 2 start rating...we go in to check out a game for our daughter. Staff is usually tucked in behind the counter and will answer questions when asked, but don't come out from behind the barrier unless the customer makes the move first. When I go in this particular time, the lady working in the front is asked a question by the customer, I'm watching since I love to people watch anyway, and the second he turns his head, she's rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. He's just curious as to why the price on one of their bundles is higher in the store than the listed price on their website. As she's checking the website on their page, she continues to roll her eyes and huff and puff and then finally moves quickly to the customer, "Yup, you're right...I'll be right back with that bundle." and goes the the back. The guy is like, "I didn't say I wanted it, I was just pricing it out." It's like, take a minute and "LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER" to find out what it is they want and verify they want it before storming off to the back to get the product. Don't make me think that my visit to the location which employs you is an inconvenience for you because, well, if it wasn't for people like me and that guy, you wouldn't have a job.
