When we arrived, we were greeted promptly by several employees. They asked us to head to one of the counters in the back and they would assist us shortly. They were so enthusiastic about the Gameboy games my fiancé had. It was nice to see them get excited about games that were popular in the 90's and 2000's. We overheard them saying that they typically match whatever GameStop is currently offering in store credit. To our surprise, they gave my fiancé more than GameStop would have if we would've gone there. This is why it matters to support small businesses. We were happy with the level of service we received here and will definitely be back.

When I asked them if they honor their online listing price, they said the price on the sticker is the price. On principal alone, I put everything away and walked out.

They're packed floor to ceiling with like every game for every console, new or old. They also have a bunch of old and new consoles. They also sold game accessories, remotes, amiibos, all that fun stuff. The prices were fair--even on the inexpensive side in my opinion. The people that work there are really personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will be returning!

The new look is brightly lit and the magazines and videos have been replaced by racks of toys and playtime clothing. The toy selection has undergone a SERIOUS update. Gone are the cheap items made with dodgy materials from no name manufacturers. They've been replaced with mid and high tier selections for every experience level. The live girl shows are still here. There is a theater upstairs where the video booths used to be. Entry costs money unless you come as a couple. And to help accommodate more weekend fun, the store and theater are now open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Only knowing this place even existed thanks to my eagle-eyed companion, we stopped by it tonight…read morewhile biking back from a visit to the Paul Robeson House (West Philly: where you can get historic radical communist activism and cheap smut within five blocks of one another! bourgeois decadence, or red conspiracy to undermine American morals?!). The exterior was hardly promising--stripmall facade, with a few unfortunate souls passed out on the sidewalk. But credit where credit is due: the place is fairly gigantic, with a rigorous focus on DVDs. Other adult shops diversify: lube, toys, magazines. There's a smidgeon of that here, but really it's an epic array of movies, helpfully organized by focus/fetish. Selection ranges widely, though a rainbow flag outside isn't really earned, given the meager gay male section. Still, from classic hetero-smut to Elegant Angel to a curious series called Handjobs Across America, Risque has both breadth and depth. Because it's apparently lost its lease, all DVDs are ten bucks as of this review. No idea whether that's just a facile come-on or the place is really slated for extinction, but I'd rank this over most Center City sleaze joints at the moment.
