The trouble is that I never think of it, especially in the winter when I would rather not be strolling their retail promenade in an icy gale. Too bad, because there's a lot to like here. Somewhere, Jeff Bezos must be laughing uncontrollably as he twists his imaginary handlebar mustache with diabolic glee. As for myself, I'm just going to hit enter to complete my order and grab some hot chocolate.

Bring your all-terrain tires to find a spot to park in this complex or the potholes might swallow your car. If you want to kill 2 birds with one stone go to mccaffreys and buy lettuce, tomatoe, oil, and vinegar, throw it in your back seat, run over some potholes and viola- you've got yourself a tossed salad. My "old person" Subaru has a kick-butt suspension system (I know because I'm able to go over a speed bump at 30 mph without feeling a thing) but I don't dare attempt to fall into one of the craters at this shopping center; the potholes here are continuing to evolve into bottomless craters that want to destroy your car. Don't let this happen! Practice weaving at home before you come into this shopping center; put valuable items around your car to practice. Finally a consignment with high quality sweaters in small sizes! The quality of clothing here is gently pre-owned, with some vintage brand names sprinkled throughout. I was excited to find a few of my favorite European brands here too. The prices reflect the quality, e.g. if you're buying silver you're paying for silver. I will say that the furs are a bit of a deal considering that they don't smell like they've absorbed 30 years of smoke the fur lays smooth, and still they have all their buttons. The men's section is decent too with more American vintage brands, made to last. Lots of fun silk ties and sashes, and plenty of sporting coats for all of your scholarly needs. The one thing I didn't like about this shop was the young customers! Loudly complaining about the prices, and minor defects in some of the clothes. Most of the items in this shop are statement pieces or items designed to last. You are not going to find prices akin to temu or shein for well made items! (With the exception of the $1 t-shirt rack...) This is a well curated consignment shop. Leaving 4 stars because I didn't get to explore the second half of the store full of home decor! I'll be back again.

I have passed US Brand for years and may have stopped in when it was an "Oriental Furniture Outlet" or a mattress wholesaler, I really can't remember. Whatever it was doesn't really matter, US Brand is a converted industrial garage stuffed to the rafters with furniture. Surprisingly the staff is very low key and allows you to catch your breath and get the lay of the land without descending like vultures on a wounded mongoose (very much appreciated BTW.) Unfortunately, their furniture inventory is not our style. Lots of laminate, white leather, sprawling Diamonique chandeliers and copious use of gold inlays. It felt more like an estate sale for the last Gabor sister or perhaps, Imelda Marcos. Obviously, this casino maximus style must sell but today was not the day to channel my inner Wayne Newton. Four stars for the very relaxed sales environment. Given the furniture jackals elsewhere, that's no small compliment.

We are in Princeton for a…read morefamily memorial, and as usual when multiple generations are together, I revert to the 16-year old girl who is struggling to be heard against the cacophony of voices. "I need socks!" I repeat. "Hold on, hold on, Liz says she needs socks!" my mother announces. "What, they don't have socks in California?" my Dad asks with his eyebrow raised. "I need WARM socks. It's freezing here." I say, trying not to sound like I am pouting. My socks of of the thin, cotton variety - a joke when faced with wintry, snowy weather. So, all morning long we discuss my need for socks, and we go in search of them, and also the Einstein museum that my mother has read about. We have gone about a block on Nassau Street when we see a sign saying "Sock Sale". Everyone smiles and we march in like a troop of soldiers. Now, if there were a store ever built for my family, Landau's Woolens is it. The store is piled floor to ceiling with more product than I have ever seen in my life, everything from scarves to mohair blankets to boiled wool jackets to Viyella shirts. Like kids being set loose in a candy store, we all go our separate ways. The treasures, the treasures! Out of the corner of my eye, I see my Dad walking around in a top hat looking like something out of Dickens, my mom cooing over the handmade Christmas stockings, while my grandfather's wife and I are pouring over the huge variety of socks for sale. Let me tell you, these socks? You haven't tried socks until you try these socks. Cashmere wrapped around other fibers, soft yet durable, in a variety of colors and....HALF-OFF *angels singing*. This is truly the mecca of fine hosiery. They get them directly from the factory in Camden, NJ, the same one that sells to Nordstrom's. I pile them into my arms like I have just won the lottery. "Please" our salesperson says, "go put them on right now." They clear a chair for me and I put on my first pair of socks. It's like stepping into a warm bath. Suddenly all is right with the world. Wait...there is more. Remember Mom's wish to visit the Einstein museum? Yeah, that was easy too, because it's located right at the back of the store! Now that's not something you see every day. We walked out with our multiple purchases and a business card with the website address for future needs. My Dad fails to make a comment about how spoiled I am because he is too enamored with himself in his new hat (which was a big hit around town). My mom is giddy about her new Christmas stocking. And me? You can just call me Happy Feet from now on. Great store, great staff, excellent product. Einstein is not the only genius in residence there!

Very impressed with my first visit to D'Angelo's! I was in town for the Princeton graduation…read morefestivities, and we stopped here for lunch following the ceremonies. D'Angelo Italian Market is located a few blocks away from the Princeton campus. It is a corner store with some street parking around, along with a parking garage right across the street. I have been told parking is strictly enforced by the city around here, so make sure to pay for street parking when you go. The inside is that of an Italian deli and market, but more. There is seating inside, and also some outdoor tables. There is not table service, but you order at the counter and then can enjoy your meal. We had a part of 7, and were able to push a few tables together inside to eat. They have a ton of deli options, but also have baked goods, breads, and pizza slices that you can buy from the counter. Additionally, there is a large menu of other food items that are made to order. There are also cooler drinks to choose from. The staff were all so friendly. It appears they know their frequent customers, and they greet them as they come in. Though I was a new customer, I felt welcomed and thought all of my questions were answered in a kind manner. We ordered several items, with one being the Eggplant Rollatini for an appetizer. This was so good, as I love eggplant in Italian dishes. It was filled with cheese, but still crispy and delicious even in all the sauce. We ordered more rolls than what is on the menu since we had several people. Additionally, we sampled several of the pizza slices - Margherita Pizza, Parmigiana Pizza, Vodka Sauce Pizza. I enjoyed each of them. The crust is thin and crispy, as you would expect from a place like this. They were all good, but the classic Margherita was probably my favorite. For my sandwich, I got the Turkey Supreme Hero. It was really good and had a ton of meat on it. I love a good turkey sandwich, and this was exactly that. After seeing what the sandwiches on the rolls looked like, I probably would have gotten that instead of the Hero. Nonetheless, it was still very good. Our table got some other items, like the Princeton Tiger Hero, Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries, and a Pepperoni Roll. No one had anything they did not enjoy. Did not get the chance to try either the desserts or any of the all day breakfast items. The next time I visit, I would definitely want to try some of those menu items! Like I said, I very much enjoyed my first visit to D'Angelo's. Everything was delightful, the staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop. I hope to visit again next time I am in the area. Would highly recommend stopping here!
