I have seen multiple times seniors almost hurting themselves to get out of the door with the cart. Then it locks at the door jam stopping them in their tracks leaving them confused and sore from jolt. I watched staff laugh as an elderly male dragged the cart across the parking lot with locked wheels. The convenience of having the store in town is a waste of time because it is poorly stocked and the carts locking makes it inconvenient. I was made to wait after paying for my items due to the store being busy before they could unlock my cart. GO TO RARITAN!

Well, I decided to come on yelp and look some places up. Restore Habitat for Humanity (the manville one and freehold one- but people were saying that's a high priced location) kept popping up. My friends have told me about it, but I've never really looked into it. I figured I wasn't doing anything the next day, that I wanted to check it out. That night, I actually found their Facebook page and was scrolling along... when all of a sudden I saw that the Somerset Patriots have donated furniture from their lounges. I saw that they had donated 54 bar stools, along with other things. Me and my husband are renovating our basement right now, and are putting a bar in. We have a pool table, and were in the market for 5 bar stools for our bar. I saw them on the Facebook page, I had to go and see if they were still there!! **we didn't need them yet, so I was just going to "look" lol ** The next day, I ended up driving the 30 minutes to Manville. When I first got in, it was packed (went around lunch time.) I walked quickly around the store to see if I could find them, and I couldn't. I figured let me do another lap around maybe i skimmed passed it real quick, and sure enough I found 2. Only 2. I sat in them and instantly loved them, but was sad there were only 2. I was looking around for an employee to ask if they had more, but I figured they were all gone. I was heartbroken.. especially because they were ONLY $50. I drove all the way home, just thinking about these chairs. They would have gone PERFECT with my pool table. When I got home, I went on their Facebook to see exactly how many they got in. It was a week prior since they posted their post, and said that the patriots donated 54 stools. There's no way they could have sold that many in a week, right!?? I decided to shoot my shot and message them. After the message went through, I got an automatic response from the page. Oh great, well that's not gonna go anywhere. About an hour later, I noticed someone responded. I asked if they had any more by chance, and the kind gentleman said they do, they are just in storage right now hoping to bring them by the store soon. I asked him when he was planning on having them over there, because I needed 5. He asked me if he wanted me to hold them for me, and I said yes!! About 40 min go by, and he had responded they are at the store and if I could pick them up that day. I said I'll see you in 30min!! I took my husbands truck back to Manville, and went up front by the registers. The man put "sold" tape on about 15 of the chairs, and told me to pick the best 5 I wanted and they were mine! They had some normal scratches on them, but the leather was fine! When I got them home, I touched them up with furniture markers and leather cleaner, and they look brand spanking new!! Everyone I tell about them think I bought them brand new. Long story short, after the discounts I got taken off, I was able to walk away with 5 quality bar stools for only $186!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! Stools like these go for $150.. EACH (or even more)!! And I just got 5 for $186???!!!! You've gotta be kidding me!! What a steal!!!! Prices are extremely reasonable here (i know everyone has a different range of 'reasonable' but it really is). And it makes me feel good that I spent money here and it's going to a great cause. I ended up going back a week later to buy a thrifted painting to do the viral "ghost painting" trend. I will for sure be back!! The volunteers are great!!

Everything is packed a little closer than that of the QuickChek that would be still about a mile or two of the road but they both offer the same items, minus the fresh subs/hoagies. Parking here is simple being that it should be an in-and-out process. It is not a 24-hour shop though, QuickChek has them beat.on that one.

I've only been here once and did leave empty handed but not without a few almost-take homes! I always start in the homegoods section because my closets are overflowing and I can never have too many tchotchkes, wall art, cute dishes, etc. They have rows and rows and rows any everything was incredibly reasonably priced. I think we have all been hearing about stores like this jacking up the prices for whatever reason, so I was thrilled to see they still have normally priced items. Shoes were by the plenty as well and I noticed some great brands like Madewell, Doc Martin, Call it Spring, etc. Unfortunatley nothing that I loved in a size 10 but I will be sure to return for check ins. I tried on a few mens blazers for that oversized look and even though I really liked a couple, opted out of getting them because the inside lining wasn't great. Again, at like $8/coat, it is really not a bad deal. I also found an Abercrombie oversized white button down with the tags still on but it was justttt a little too oversized at a XXL. Happy to have found another great thrift store to add to my list!

I just wanted some cough drops & it's been over 45 minutes. Check prices. Whatever the item says it costs, double check it. Sometimes, (it happens at any business tbf), they mislabel the equate vitamins & clothing. If you know how to check yourself out, you'll save a considerable amount of time. Also, if you really are desperate for an employee's help, pick up the phone & start singing. An employee will come over & reprimand you, but at least you got their attention! I sang Britney Spears for all of Walmart last month & I carry a tune for my life haha. The employees just laughed at my pathetic attempt to sing & helped me out. The dude who checks the bags is super cool BTW. He always offers me free gum or offers to carry my items when they are pretty heavy. He didn't have to do that, but he did. It was really kind of him.

I tried a couple of the other supermarkets and found the Walmarts in Manville far surpassed the others both in on time deliveries and filling the orders as placed. When you combine that with lower prices I think it's the clear winner. Also they don't charge for delivery. It's a win win for me.

All very reasonably priced, which is getting rarer and rarer for secondhand shops. I always try to stop in when I am in town and usually walk out with something new! And the even better news is that you are right on a busy street with other shops, cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops, boba shops, everything shops. So don't make the trip here just for a quick pop in, walk around and enjoy Somerville afterwards. I do believe you can bring in things to sell which I desperately need to do! My Favorite New Consignment Store…read more From the moment I walked into the store I was surprised that this hidden gem was not the average thrift store. From designer handbags to beautiful sterling silver and gold jewelry, this store definitely captures my attention. The items are reasonably priced, and are in very good condition.
