I was told I shouldn't park there. Ron M (as identified from his yelp business owner responses) was rude and condescending. Matcha place was great though. Ron, be a little kinder to others. I also saw chip and Joana Gaines on your stuff. Congrats that's great. But you should do some research on Murr. Not a good representative of business either

Lo and behold, as you come in, what welcomes you is the serene ambiance of almost "home", minus the smell of home cooking or popcorn. The place is packed with very tastefully curated items from handcrafted "reclaimed lumber" to Villeroy & Boch and other very interesting finds. Even the bathroom which I perused after a long drive looked great and well appointed. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and cordial. The very dapper looking gentleman (I presumed is the owner) was very attentive and hands on with his assistance on the product I was interested in. He answered all my questions and seemed really knowledgeable. Though quite a distance from home, it will be goodbye to the mall at Short Hills and hello to The Homestead at Princeton when it's time to redecorate. Pricing ranges from expensive to affordable. Well, depending on your taste, budget and aesthetics The place gave me the shivers (positive). If I was a leaf, I would be shaking. The place is marvelous. The dapper gentleman and young lady was a delight. Thank you for the shopping experience.

There was a time when visiting a mall meant certain stores acted like foundations that other stores…read morewould pop up around. East Meets West is one such store. Whether it's this mall or Woodbridge, "East Meets West" is a fun store to visit. I generally go here to get incense but they have so much more than that. Their other offerings include various Hamsas you can hang up, crystals, rocks, sage kits, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, dream catchers and more. It doesn't matter if you believe in the various spiritual beliefs represented by this store, some of this stuff is just pretty decor. The store is basically a rectangle with shelves and islands in the middle. The cashier is off to the right in the middle. The cashier I dealt with was super friendly and I saw her helping the customer before me with a great deal of patience. This store used to be on the first floor, but they moved up to the second floor and as part of that move they upgraded the decor a bit. There's a fun neon sign at the entrance and a gigantic dream catcher hangs in one window with other items. Before you even walk in the store front seems to promise a unique store experience in a mall mostly dominated by department stores and clothing shops. I wound up getting some "short" incense that were nicely priced (20 for $5 I believe). I also bought a sticker for $2. "East Meets West" is a classic part of the mall experience and I definitely recommend dropping by!

Absolutely terrible customer service and a complete lack of basic respect…read more I placed my order on Saturday and returned Sunday morning to request a refund after changing my mind and deciding to go with a better-quality option. Instead of handling the request professionally, manager Enrique immediately made the process difficult and refused to provide the refund, claiming that refunds cannot be done on Sundays. That explanation made no sense, especially since there is no clear mention in Ashley's return policy stating that refunds cannot be processed on Sundays. Rather than simply helping or calmly explaining the process, he chose to challenge me and make an already frustrating situation even worse. What was most unacceptable was the way I was treated. Enrique told me I had "wasted the salesperson's time" because she had spent two hours on the sale, as if that somehow justified refusing to help me. That is not customer service. That is blaming and shaming a customer for wanting to cancel a purchase less than 24 hours later. His behavior then became aggressive and intimidating. He raised his voice, walked around the counter, stood directly in front of my face, and continued debating and challenging me instead of resolving the issue. At no point did he show any interest in customer care, de-escalation, or professionalism. His goal seemed to be making the refund process as difficult and uncomfortable as possible. I made it clear during the interaction that I will be filing a formal complaint with Ashley head office regarding both the handling of the refund request and Enrique's unacceptable behavior. This was not just poor service. It was hostile, confrontational, and completely unacceptable behavior from a manager. A company that claims to value customers should never allow someone in leadership to treat people this way. Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from shopping at this Ashley location.
