Absolutely terrible customer service and a complete lack of basic respect. I placed my order on Saturday and returned Sunday morning to request a refund after changing my mind and deciding to go with a better-quality option. Instead of handling the request professionally, manager Enrique immediately made the process difficult and refused to provide the refund, claiming that refunds cannot be done on Sundays. That explanation made no sense, especially since there is no clear mention in Ashley's return policy stating that refunds cannot be processed on Sundays. Rather than simply helping or calmly explaining the process, he chose to challenge me and make an already frustrating situation even worse. What was most unacceptable was the way I was treated. Enrique told me I had "wasted the salesperson's time" because she had spent two hours on the sale, as if that somehow justified refusing to help me. That is not customer service. That is blaming and shaming a customer for wanting to cancel a purchase less than 24 hours later. His behavior then became aggressive and intimidating. He raised his voice, walked around the counter, stood directly in front of my face, and continued debating and challenging me instead of resolving the issue. At no point did he show any interest in customer care, de-escalation, or professionalism. His goal seemed to be making the refund process as difficult and uncomfortable as possible. I made it clear during the interaction that I will be filing a formal complaint with Ashley head office regarding both the handling of the refund request and Enrique's unacceptable behavior. This was not just poor service. It was hostile, confrontational, and completely unacceptable behavior from a manager. A company that claims to value customers should never allow someone in leadership to treat people this way. Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from shopping at this Ashley location. read more

No real complaint since I didn't buy anything but I found the experience comical since for a mid-tier furniture chain their sales associates think they're in the business of furnishing Versailles. They have an incredibly high opinion of the pieces they sell when my eyes, hands, derriere and wallet clearly had a very different perspective. Most of the stuff looks solid enough and is clearly a cut or two above the deep discounters who specialize in particle board and Styrofoam but It's nothing special and at some of the non-sale price points it almost borders on ludicrous. The salesman (Anthony Reyes) had stated that the delivery people would take away our old mattress, provided the size fit. Today , when the delivery folks came, they said they would not take away "dirty" or "ripped" mattresses. We called back the store and the duty manager would not accept that Anthony did not specify this condition when we bought the mattress. We had to haul away our old mattress and get a new one elsewhere. Ashley will refund the money in 24-48 hours , once they receive it back in the warehouse. Genuinely speaking I am unsure how this place has a 2.5 stars rating, this is way too high. The back office staff are horrible and unhelpful. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. For three weeks my wife had been trying to cancel part of our order. The first time my wife called, she spoke with Jeanine, they told her it would be taken care of and she'd get a call back, which she never did. That was a constant with this place, a promise of a call back with no call back or follow up of any kind. When my wife called again a week later to follow up, Jeanine tells my wife that the cancelation still hadn't been done. My wife once again asked that it be taken care of and was told it would be done and she'd get a follow up call... Another week goes by and my wife calls into the store but no one answers so my wife leaves a message. Coincidentally the same day as my wife leaving a message, my wife receives a phone call from Rhonda, the sales manager at the store, thinking it was about her cancelation my wife was excited it was finally getting addressed... Except it turned out Rhonda was calling because they didn't have the table we wanted and were offering us a shorter one in exchange. Rhonda then tried to get off the phone but my wife asked about the cancelation and Rhonda mentioned that she saw a note on the account but since it was less than a week to delivery it couldn't be done. My wife mentioned that she has been trying to get this done for 3 weeks and that there is no reason it shouldn't have been done. Rhonda said that since we were helping her out, she would help us out and get this taken care of for us... What's great about this is, Rhonda saw that we had an issue but decided to only call about a problem they had and hoped to get off the phone before we could get our issue resolved. It boggles my mind that she had the audacity to tell my wife that she was doing us a favor canceling something that we had been trying to cancel for weeks... After a day of no updates my wife called in, again, and got Jeanine, and asked Jeanine to take care of it and send her an email detailing that it was done. When she called back to find out why she did not receive an email, Jeanine told her that she didn't have her email address and that's why it wasn't done, but it was busy so she would get it out to her shortly. Finally around 5pm my wife receives the invoice but it is wrong. She calls back and Jeanine answers and tells her that Rhonda is busy. My wife tells Jeanine that she isn't getting off the phone until the issue is resolved, Jeanine tells my wife, "There is nothing more I can do for you." and hangs up the phone. My wife then drove 40 minutes to the store to get the situation resolved. Rhonda first tried pretending not to know who my wife was by saying, "I talk to a lot of people" when my wife introduced her self. Rhonda then spent her time looking at her phone and giving one word responses instead of directly addressing my wife. My wife told her to finish what she was doing and then they could talk... (Seriously Rhonda you're not that important, everyone's swiping left on you anyways) Finally, my wife was able to talk to Rhonda, face to face. but wasn't able to get a word in because Rhonda kept cutting her off. Rhonda's favorite defense was, "I didn't take your money" and "You weren't dealing with me"... She also kept muttering under her breath about how she's been there 3 weeks and it's been nothing but problems... (that should be a sure sign that you're in a terrible place) Eventually my wife had to raise her voice to get Rhonda to stop talking over her and Rhonda finally backed off to listen to her a little bit before she began arguing and yelling at her, again. At one point Jeanine threatened to call the police on my wife and claimed she was trespassing... Jeanine even lumbered over to her and got in her face without wearing a mask... Fortunately my wife had the foresight to begin recording part of their interaction, unfortunately not all of it, but my wife refused to leave until she was given back her money and did not back down. In the end, after almost an hour of arguing with my wife being insulted, harassed, and threatened; My wife asked them to cancel the full order and instead in true Ashley's form, they finally canceled just the things we didn't need and charged us a 75 dollar fee for it. I've now reached out to corporate to discuss the matter with them, but I have a feeling I'll first need to release the video before something actually gets done. read more

We stopped in because we were looking to replace our sofa. It was actually the 5th furniture store of the day. Out of all 5 stores, we only found sofas we were interested in here and at one other location. Unfortunately, we will not be buying anything from Ashley. Ashley has a wider selection of furniture and style of individual pieces than any other store we visited. On the other hand, all the other stores were able to provide me with the dimensions of the furniture on a card. The salesman at Ashely had to find a tape measure and then use it. I then borrowed it and got the correct measurements. When we asked about pricing, we were shocked. The price of the less expensive piece we asked about was almost double the cost of the piece we liked in the other store. After we were told the price, we said we would need to think about it as we still had to measure the space to make sure the sofa would fit where we wanted it. The salesman then told us that the price he gave us was a "today" price. If we didn't buy it today the price would be higher tomorrow. My wife and I have both been in sales. We've seen this tactic before and don't like it. We walked out of the store. read more

Starwise, this review is for sales specifically. Product wise, I would give it 2.5 stars. I went with Ned to buy a new bed frame with storage because we NEEDed a king sized bed and we currently live in one giant room with limited storage capabilities. We were greeted by Michael, who is basically the best salesman alive. First of all, he was super knowledgeable, I gave him the thing and the name I was looking for and he took us straight to it, and then gave us comparable options to browse. He wasn't pushy in the slightest bit but he seemed to know we were there to make a purchase and was really easygoing about it. Left us alone for as long as we needed but was accessible when we were ready. Ned was on the fence about buying the mattress that day but I totally WAS NOT we needed a new mattress more than we needed a new bed. I think mattresses are Michael's specialty because he pretty much knows everything there is to know about mattresses (using my best Forrest Gump head voice here). We spent a long time trying out all the different kinds there were but it was extremely helpful to have it narrowed down for us at the beginning. That was probably the most surprisingly great thing about Michael's knowledge on the subject. In the end, we pulled the trigger and with the exception of offering us places to donate furniture which we had to get out of our room (don't do that, no one is taking ANYTHING right now because of Covid, it's a waste of time I called every single place on that list) it was a genuinely great purchasing experience. Now. As for the actual bed itself. How can I put this nicely - um, it's kind of a piece of crap? We had it three weeks before ned had to take the mattress off, install platform wood underneath because the thing is just cheap and poorly designed. There are meant to be these posts which are supposed to hold up the slats but they barely have any feet, just tiny circular shitty ass poles. The slats themselves were not screwed in all the way so they stripped the threading completely - totally useless and I found screws on the floor next to the bed, which is how we discovered the central issue pun intended. I should also add that we've got an insane 18 month old who would totally eat a screw like wouldn't even think twice about it so I have half a mind to just take all the screws out at this point just for safety's sake. Anyway! Michael gets a 110% A++++++ for his work. Ashley delivery/builder guys get like a 75% because they can only do so much with a shit product but I am not sure they really screwed everything in correctly in the first place and the Ashley product people who either designed or selected the Caitbrook king sized bed get like a D+. (A- for the idea, F- for execution.) That's all I got. I'll add pics later, I used Ned's phone to take them while he was fixing our month old 1,500 dollar bed. Peace out! read more

The sales team was actually great. They were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The positives end the very second you swipe your credit card. The 2-6 week delivery window is just a pacifier to keep you quiet for a little while. They will not deliver within this window. My order was for two items. The first was available within six weeks (barely), and they wanted me to wait until the second item was available to deliver it to my home; which they said could be an ADDITIONAL six weeks. The GM, Manny, split the order so I could get the first item ASAP, and acted like I owed him a favor for the experience. Another month, and several follow ups later, the second item was still nowhere to be found. AND once they did get a hold of it, they said it would be at least another week until it could be delivered. I asked for my money back, and GM Manny was not happy. He told me to "come see him in the store, like a man". Because I had to be present to get my money back, I obliged. Manny was very quick to be the person to "help" me. He was confrontational, staring me down the entire time, cracking his neck & knuckles like he was prepared to fight. I told him I didn't want to discuss the matter; I just wanted my money back. I purchased a lot of furniture from here and dealt with a salesman who was nice enough, but sent a lot of questions to the manager, Mike. Mike starts out nice enough, but you soon realize he is condescending and doesn't quite listen to your questions. He just tells you "yes" and lets you order whatever you want, without thought or consultation. I ordered a bed, mattress and the mechanism to raise the head and feet and specifically asked if it would be compatible with the bed I bought. I was told it would be. When I got it, I needed a step stool to get into my bed. I also ordered a mattress and boxspring and when it came, it was so high my child could not get into that bed either. I called to get assistance and then texted the salesperson because no one responded. The salesperson told me he contacted Mike who would follow up. He didn't. I walked in to the store two days later and tried to handle it in person. The salesperson called Mike (who was off) and Mike quickly threw the salesperson under the bus. Mike had apparently made the decision on how to handle the boxspring issue without talking to me and then explained whatever needed to be done with the other bed. I was not in agreement with the way he handled it and had to change the order. But more to the point, there is no one else who apparently can handle these issues - just this guy, Mike. The others there apparently amended my order and then said I would get a call in 24 hours because they could not do something to my order at the time. No call and when I called later the next day they said I needed to come in and sign new paperwork. I had already signed paperwork. I went in again and Mike was there. He greeted me and then mumbled something about not returning my call because he was getting his flat tire changed. He didn't realize I saw him nudge the customer service person to agree with him. Apparently he thinks I'm an idiot. He then began telling me how his whole team screwed this order up and he was doing me a favor by crediting me money (he wasn't - they attempted to charge me $100 more for a different boxspring). He then got upset with me because I explained several times I did not have the items I refused so he didn't need to get them from my home. Apparently, he meant he needed to retrieve them from the warehouse before he could credit me. He actually pounded the counter. I let them finish the order and Mike walked off to interrupt another salesperson who was working with a family. I told the customer servicer person that I would call back for a delivery time as I had already spent more time than I wanted to there. And frankly, I was at a boiling point with Mike. The next day I was told the order was not able to be delivered because I needed to sign more paperwork. I said I was already there and signed the paperwork. Then they called and said it was ready and no need to come in. They offered me a delivery date and I asked for a sooner one. They didn't have one and suggested I call back the following Monday. I did - no earlier date. I then got a call two days before Christmas with a window to deliver my stuff... three days earlier than the delivery date promised. I received no heads up. It's the holidays. I kept the delivery date and moved my other stuff around. Waiting for the final bill to see what they screwed up. While I think there are people there who want to help, they are clearly miserable being managed by someone who has no problem talking poorly about them right in front of them and when it is clearly not their fault. I even pointed out one of the issues was created by Mike himself. He deflected. Unprofessional. He should not be managing that store. read more

From the second I showed up to pick up my order which there were mistakes on the stores end, he has an attitude and a "not my problem, do you want to cancel" response. I wish I could give zero stars. I had the actual worst experience both in service and customer service in my life. I have tried to work with those in the store and give the benefit of the doubt. I want to save anyone from having the terrible experience I did. I went to Ashley's willing to spend more money on furniture that would be better quality. On my trip me and my husband purchased cash an entire bedroom set( bed, dresser, mirror, chest, and side table.) as well as a living room set(couch and loveseat). I was told that after the couches came in they could deliver all the furniture. I was told in 2 weeks call on Wednesday to see if there is an update. Two weeks later and 3 unanswered phone calls I get sent to Bo who sold us the furniture. Mind you the only good part of our entire experience was Bo. He informed us that the couches were no longer available. Despite being irritated about being sold a couch that didn't exist we went in and had them just ship our bedroom set separately. So at this point we were to receive furniture 3 weeks later. Mind you I had to call repeatedly to find out all that information. Three weeks later the delivery guys come all of our bedroom set is damaged. I spoke to customer service who informed me she would call me with an update to resolve our situation. The upsetting part is they don't send any new furniture until they receive the broken furniture. So the customer has to wait until they decide to fix the problem. Also they don't tell you if they even have it in stock. I call the next day and speak to the manager Mike and he says he will get to the bottom of it. He never calls me back. I have to call back and hear the same story and when I say I want my mom back they make no effort to help. I called back a day later and of course our couches that we picked have been ready and of course nobody informed us. I have no furniture and me and my husband are sleeping on our mattress on the floor. Living out of bags because this company can't ship anything properly or even help us. I'm appalled and made sure to contact there corporate office. Please save yourself from these people they don't care about there customers. So just an update a year later: my couches are falling apart after just normal day to day use. The loveseat is completely sunken. It's pretty horrible that there couches can last past a year. Mind you I travel often so we are not even always on the couches. Please go somewhere else and spend your money on something that will not break so easily. I stand by original review. After disputing the charge with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Jenny from Ashley has finally contacted me with the intent to pick up their cheaply made, incorrectly assembled, broken furniture. It took 3 months and 4 times of them pushing the ship date back for the parts that never came. Many emails have gone unanswered and phone calls to 215-736-9800. They even told the BBB that the parts would be shipping out by the end of this month which is laughable because they keep pushing that date back as it arrives. After my original review, Fauna from their customer service department said that she would follow my case. She called me once and I never heard from her again unless I called. Asked to speak to her manager and I was told that she was it. No other person overseeing her. I even sent emails and no one responds. The sales experience was great. No one has problems taking your money. The cashier even told me that no one at the store would be able to help, but Jenny from the store called. So, there is someone there that can help, they just don't want you to know that. If I didn't know any better, I suspect they were waiting for my 1 year limited warranty to be over and not be responsible for their error. Hmmmmm read more

We've been trying to get them to honor this warranty for 8 months now after we got a small hole in one of our cushions which is covered. They send us to the warranty company, that company sends us back to Ashley's and back and forth. Today they tell us that they no longer are using that warranty company and cannot honor it. Don't be fooled by the nice showroom and friendly customer service. When it comes to delivery, they will fail. The first time they delivered my bed and nightstands, the delivery guys broke the bed trying to put it together. The second time (a month later), they tried to deliver what I suspect was the same bed, just shoddily repaired, because the parts were not boxed, just loose in the truck. So of course, they were all banged up. When you call, assuming you can find a number that works, they just give you a run around and say a manager will call you. Considering cancelling my entire order, but they say I'm stuck with the two night stands that I "accepted" on the first delivery (even though they are yet to be unwrapped or assembled). Just a bunch of shady operators. Update 7/5/21 Well, we finally got a bed that wasn't broken and we're done with this place. I guess you will eventually get what you bought if you're willing to go through all the hassle. I should have read all the reviews before buying a sofa from this store. Customer service is absolutely atrocious. Upon delivery, which was a day later than originally promised, the wedge was irreparably damaged. I was told I was going to get a phone call which never happened to replace the part. Manager told us that it would be replaced three weeks later. Now they told me they are going to try and repair a structurally damaged wedge before replacing the piece before shipping the wedge and actually replacing the piece. Now we are going to have to host Thanksgiving with half a couch and they are not compensating anything for the delay on delivery if they ever deliver an undamaged sofa. We are never buying from this place again and telling all of our family and friends to never buy from this store unless they want to deal with a headache. read more
