Now, you can all but forget about counting sheep as you count the 50-90 Benjamins that will fly from your wallet to afford all of this modern bed chamber technology (I'm not even counting the bed in a box e-commerce brands that have metastasized all over the net.) That's where Mattress Firm comes in. Sure, they'll be happy to sell you a SpaceX set-up but if you have a preference for a no nonsense mattress, box spring combo they'll do that as well. Like any big ticket purchase ("sleep systems" now qualify) if you do a little research you'll more than likely wind up with a comfortable option that won't require a third mortgage. They were more than professional since I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't squeeze me with an upsell. Although it wasn't quite Macy's in 1998, Mattress Firm came close. My first warning something was not right was that they don't tell you when mattress will arrive until AFTER you purchase it. I bought on Dec. 2nd and in the email received after purchase they said it would be delivered on Jan. 2nd "subject to change based on availability". Well I'd expected only a day or two but it was during the holiday season so fair enough. Jan. 2nd came and went and when I looked online at their Track My Order link it said "Order Placed" but still doesn't indicate it's Scheduled or Completed. I wait a few more days then I email them- no response. A week later email again- no response. At this point realize they have no intention of completing the order. I had bought a good quality interspring mattress but it was their least expensive one and didn't pay for anything extra and I used their 10% off coupon. So probably the thing to do was call their phone number and have them refund me but I have hearing issues and difficulty understanding people on the phone. Which is why I bought online to begin with. And realizing it was a scam all along decided to wait for a full month go by and do a credit card chargeback. Hopefully if they get enough chargebacks they will change their scammy ways. Chargeback done. My credit card company refunded me. Never heard a thing from the company- no apology, no explanation, nothing. The mattress I purchased is still available on their site at the same price. When I look today months later the Track My Order site still says "Order Status: In Process" and "Order Placed". Watch your back when dealing with this company. Or better yet just find another mattress seller. Note they also sell under the name Sleep Outfitters.

They no longer carry one, offered no comparable replacement, and told me they aren't responsible for the old mattress they removed (which was perfectly fine). Bottom line: From the two hours wasted in the store (where no one knew what they were doing), to weeks of rude customer service and false accusations, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. They offered no real solution. The stress and time I've spent has been absolutely not worth it. They are horrible. Do not buy from Bob's!

Being that this was the first mattress store we visited, we let him know we weren't going to buy that day. He showed us around and we found one we liked. Since we weren't buying that day, he suggested we put a deposit on it to hold the price. I asked if we would get a full refund of the deposit if we decided not to purchase there and he assured me we would. Being that I've done this at furniture stores before I had no problem getting a full refund, I didn't have an issue with that. We returned a week later to get our deposit back after deciding to purchase elsewhere and are told there is a 2.5% fee we won't be refunded. It's not a substantial amount, but I definitely don't appreciate being lied to so I tell the gentleman helping us that we were specifically told we would receive a full refund. This is when it all went downhill very quickly. The man got very defensive, nasty and sarcastic. He was extremely rude and even went as far as saying he didn't care what we thought since we weren't buying a mattress from them anyways. I would not buy from them in the future because I would not trust this company to stand by their products after a purchase is made if any issue arises. Don't expect them to care about the customer once they have your money if they are capable of such poor customer relations. They basically tricked us out $2.50. Is $2.50 worth so much to this company that they're willing to lose a potential future customer?
