I don't know what is going on with this store but it's a mess. So many of the clothes have no price tags with prices ripped off so there's no way to tell what anything costs and I couldn't find an employee to ask. Things they used to sell they just don't have anymore. The shelves were a complete mess of boxes, mismatched products and no price tags to even tell what anything is or what it costs. Junk/food on the floors getting caught on the cart wheels. The one in North Brunswick is a little better if you have the choice so I'd stay away from this one. Not gunna lie it kinda felt like I was at an unkempt tjmaxx or something.. I've never left target empty handed before until today. read more

Self checkout help is nonexistent. I waited at the self checkout for more than 15 minutes waiting for assistance for a clearance mini tiki torch. At least the electronics department was useful and helpful within 1 minute of asking for assistance from an associate who wasn't even wearing a red vest (just a walkie-talkie on their hip). This store definitely needs more staff. read more

It's Target, so the best that can be said is that you don't have to duck and cover when you cross the retail DMZ into the Walmarts of the world. Unfortunately, concern for personal safety and upscale pretensions can only carry you so far. As with most mass merchandisers who have added groceries into the mix, checking out is a nightmare. Not only are algorithms telling them how to optimally staff their front-end down to the nanosecond but if you happen to find yourself behind a customer with a full grocery cart be prepared to cool your heels unless you can find an automated self checkout portal that actually works. Look, I can buy t-shirts and a bath mat from an infinite number of local merchants who can get me in and out without the excruciating tedium of canned ravioli and garbanzo beans slowing things to a crawl. I generally like Target... just not between 9 and 5. read more

I visited here for the first time yesterday to pick up an online order. It's about a thirty minute drive for me but it was well worth it. This Target is nice and spacious. It's also well organized. There is a floral section which I've never seen at any other Target. They had a nice variety and selection in the home decor section which I really liked. read more

I'm writing this for the Pizza Hut portion.. because I had the typical Target experience which is always very solid and which is why it is my store of choice! I LOVE Pizza Hut.. unfortunately a lot of the chain locations are disgusting and you get turned off as soon as you walk inside. This is a great option for after you're done shopping and need a quick bite on the way out. I was able to get a pepperoni personal pan and got my daughter a pretzel.. I was delighted when we were asked if we wanted butter and salt on the pretzel (yes and yes).. the pretzel was delicious. Very warm, buttery, and perfect. I had to keep begging my daughter for more. LOL. The personal pan was just what I'd expected and I loved the little treat. Glad to know it is an option at this location. read more

Honestly the worst Target experience I have ever encountered. I think when I run in for a only a small bottle of milk for a child I shouldn't have to wait for 20 plus minutes. It's not a staffing issue- not with 4 Target employees just standing watching the line not move. Will I be back? No. I'd rather milk a cow. It would probably be quicker. read more

This Target is quite nice! I was here once before, but it was before I joined Yelp! The staff is friendly, and there's a lot of staff to help you! It is very well organized, and you could find your way around the store quite easily. All the aisles are marked very well. At my local Target in Milltown, the aisles are marked but they're hard to read. The aisle names show very well! The store definitely has everything you will need, and has a great variety! They really upped their game, since the first time I was here I was not impressed. The store smelled like blood, and the employees were not helpful in finding what I needed! The reason it loses a star is because several aisles were quite empty, but this store overall has a great variety! read more

Large selection of diapers, including the swim ones...By combining the app cartwheel and red card (-5% on everything every day), you could benefit from additional savings. The staff was friendly and customer-oriented. There was a changing table in the clean bathroom. It was free and easy to park. read more

Went here two weeks ago prior to my long drive home since I was in a filming project in the area. The exterior of the building looked really nice and modern. The layout of the store inside was pretty much the same as the Watchung one. The only difference was that compared to Watchung, Starbucks was located to the left in front of the cash registers, and customer service was located to the right of the store. Watchung's placement of those areas are in the opposite locations of this particular store. The store itself looked nice and clean, and the staff members were friendly. I needed to buy some Pringles at that time, and surprisingly, this store had it on sale. As with any Target, their sale prices are reasonable. A great location! read more

I mean, what's there to really say. The store is clean, the service is friendly, the options are endless, the location is convenient, they added a grocery/fresh produce section, there are a significant amount of parking spots, there is a Starbucks and Pizza Hut inside, there is a pharmacy... The list goes on. Bottom line: they have everything you may need when you probably need it, and the location of the store couldn't be more convenient. It's right by a Petsmart, Staples, Best Buy, Subway, and Dunkin' Donuts. Right off route 1 north, right past Raymond road, also off 522, and right by South Brunswick High School. Arguably the best thing to happen to our neighborhood. read more

The organization of this store is very confusing and they never seem to have what I am looking for. It is very difficult to find assistance when it is needed. There are usually far too few cashiees for the number of customers. The aelf-check is usually broken. read more

I am not a huge shopper, but I do like shopping at Target. The store is always clean, organized and well stocked. When I compare Target to its competitors it wins hands down. I go here for seasonal products, food, toiletries, gifts, bedding, etc. Everything. For me it's the one store I'll go to if I can't wait for Amazon to ship it. read more

This is one of my favorite NJ Targets. They seem to really do an excellent job of staying well stocked, unlike the Target in Piscataway. The toy section always looks freshly stocked and there are rarely barren pegs. Plus the clearance section of this Target is far more extensive than the barren wasteland in the Piscataway Target. This Target has a Starbucks and the tiny version of Pizza hut as well. It's a great stop if you are passing by. However traffic on route 1 is usually gross and this Target isn't a frequent stop for me since I live too far north. read more

Target is Target (is Target). I prefer Target over Wal-mart and generally have a great shopping experience. When I walk in, I intend to buy one thing and somehow $50-100 later I walk out. I would give this store a higher rating except there seems to be a pretty lame Starbucks here. Every drink I have bought does not come close to comparing to a normal Starbucks. I have seen there things and they use all target brand things (milk, whipped cream). Also, I do not appreciate the strong push at this location for the Target RED Card. I don't want the card! Awful experience trying to do a price match. I'll never shop here again. Girl working at customer service counter was very nice, but the manager was nasty, sarcastic, and gleeful in her refusal to not match a price. She was the perfect lunch lady who loved to yell at kids for having fun at recess. I was the model of politeness but treated like a pain in the arse. I don't care how desperately I need nacho chips, batteries, or shaving cream--I'll never spend another dime here. read more

What is there to not like about target? They have everything. Clothes, baby stuff, household items, electronic's, books, movies, outdoor stuff. This target when has a pizza Hut express and starbucks. 2 of my favorite things :-). I can never go into target and but just one thing. I always find myself browsing all the departments to see what else I may need. This target is clean, well stocked, Staff is friendly and courteous, and the prices are pretty reasonable. read more

This Target is well staffed and organized. The produce section is relatively new, but well stocked and maintained. I've never taken advantage of the Starbucks that's in the store, but I have sat down to rest sometimes, and the area is very quiet, clean, and tucked away with large windows to people watch. Generally a nice store, standard "Target", kept clean and comfortable for shopping. But not for BUYING. Across several visits, they have not had a sufficient number of registers open to prevent excessive waiting. And because they're feeling pressured, the register staff isn't all that friendly. This Target is always immaculate. Everything is always in its place. They always have enough employees on staff to navigate you through the store or open another register when lines get long. My only problem with the store is that their food freezers/shelves aren't stocked very well. Many times an entire freezer/shelf is empty. I probably wouldn't notice it if it wasn't what I was looking for. That can be frustrating at times. But other than that this is a beautiful store. Starbucks is also an added bonus! read more

Hugely understafffed electronics department during peak times... but that can be a good thing. I was going to buy a video game on sale for $44.99 but with only 2 staff members on the Saturday before Christmas the line was really long. Not the first time this has happened, and I've complained about it before. Instead of heading to best buy I went home and checked prices on-line. Video game was further discounted to $39.99 on-line with free shipping and free pick up, while price in store and with curbside still $44.99. So - thanks for not wasting my time and giving me $5 for the PITA factor. read more

Buyer beware of shelf price and check out register price discrepancies!!! 25% higher prices aon check out than what is displayed on the shelf!! Managers tend to have attitude and are not apologetic about the price differentials! Returns experience is among the worse as well! read more
