After numerous headaches and issues at Zen Leaf up in Neptune, as well as somewhat shady bodega-like "we sell Delta-8" shops in nearby areas, I had all but given up on finding a state registered retailer that ticks all the boxes. Luckily, a friend let me know about Social Leaf, and I've been coming back ever since. SL is a tiny dispensary right near the heart of downtown Toms River. All the folks inside have been incredibly cheerful and helpful, and although the lines can get long at times - they do a decent job of keeping them moving. Unlike ZenLeaf, pre-ordering here actually DOES give you priority, and you can be in and out within minutes if you go at the right time and do this. Not bad! The selection is up there with the other "big name" dispensaries as well. Prices are high, and I do wish retailers would start lowering these. Having just gotten back from a trip in California where I bought a 1G vape for $28, it's a bit of a slap in the face to have to pay $70-90 for the equivalent here at home. That said, Social Leaf at least has better 'deals' (and ever so slightly lower prices) than the other dispensaries within an hour drive, so I suppose that's something. All in all, while there's room for improvement in the price department, this is a fantastic local dispensary, and one I'll be returning to again!

I have never had an issue until Wednesday, July 15th. I had a disappointing/experience with the ounce I purchased and the way it was (not) handled. I was sold flower that the Silverleaf website lists as 38.58% total THC: 34.66% THC with THCa bringing total THC 38.66%. What I got was flower labeled 34.66.% total THC. THCa was not listed. I called the dispensary to discuss and ended up speaking to the manager. He started by condescendingly explaining how THCa works not once, but several times. I am well aware of how it works! I finally had to interrupt him from "explaining" it again to tell him my actual complaint. The label on the product DOES NOT include THCa as an ingredient. He then "explained" (made up) how the grower can choose to list or not list THCa as an ingredient at their discretion. I told him this makes no sense! Why would a grower indicate the total THC is lower on the label than it was advertised on purpose?! He offered no explanation for that. When I told him I was very dissatisfied, he offered no apology or compensation for this misrepresentation of the product. He "explained" that he nor Silverleaf apparently has no control or influence to change false advertising. I asked him if he was saying it was not his/Silverleaf's fault (problem) and he could not (would not) do anything about it. He confirmed it with silence. Needlesstosay I am still far from satisfied. BTW - I checked. NJ state law, DOES, in fact, REQUIRE that growers list THCa on the label. It is NOT left to the grower's discretion. Essentially, the manager/owner(?) was just making things up to get rid of me. Extremely unprofessional. Frankly, he sounded bored. Sadly, moving forward, I will need to check to confirm I am getting what was advertised when (if) I order again. I can no longer trust this dispensary to sell me a product as advertised.

They even…read moreconfirm orders for items they don't have, only to tell customers they're unavailable upon arrival and then try to sell different products instead. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic and is unacceptable. To make matters worse, store management is nonexistent, and corporate does not respond to customer emails or complaints. The lack of accountability and poor customer service have made this an extremely frustrating experience. I won't be shopping here again anytime soon.

The store offers all sorts of cannibis related items, from paraphernalia to edibles to topicals and more. The selection is excellent and well priced, and purchasing is streamlined as you order everything you want through a kiosk and then just go to pick up your items as the checkout desk. The staff members are extremely knowledgeable and the check out service was friendly and prompt. I purchased some guava gummi edibles and the staff was super helpful because usually weed makes me way too high and I hate it, so it'll be nice to try some lower dose sativa. The shop itself is super cute as everything is outdoorsy/camping/hiking themed, with Tokey the Bear as the mascot. The owners, Jamie and Mike, are awesome. So pumped about this spot!
