This used to be one of my favorite record stores. I live about 2 hours away and would try to shop here every time I was in town. I even shopped here online. Record Store Day is one of my favorite days of the year. It's a legit holiday to me. I came here on RSD 2017, spent a small fortune, and had a GREAT time. I especially loved the official RSD tote I received with my purchase. I had it displayed in my home all year long. Today was RSD 2018 and of all the participating record stores, the ONLY place I wanted to go was here. I drove over 100 miles with my family (3 kids) to get here. With my 2017 tote in hand, I was happily greeted at the door by Sue. I showed her (and a male staff member) the tote I brought from last year. We spoke for a few minutes as I searched the selection in front. I slowly made my way around every inch of the store. The band performing even played an impromptu song about the rubiks cube my son was playing with. As I browsed the records, I placed my selections into my record tote. I was not sneaky about putting records in it and I had multiple conversations with staff members while I browsed. After about 1 hour of browsing, the store owner John walked up to me near the back of the store and forcibly grabbed my tote out of my hands and made a bee line for the register, telling Sue to ring up my purchase. Still confused, I approached the register to see/hear John telling Sue "he was stealing." Taken aback, I pleaded with the owners, swearing to them that I had no intentions of stealing records from them. John stormed off before I could finish my first sentence and had NO interest in having a conversation with me. I asked Sue and the other gentleman working that if my record bag was such an issue, why wasn't it addressed as soon as I walked through the door, showing it off? I even showed John my active duty military ID card, but it didn't change anything. My pleas fell on deaf ears. John could have resolved this situation at any moment but simply chose to label me as a common criminal. If I was trying to steal, I wouldnt have brought my family and spent so much time in their store. Even after my significant other pleaded with them, I was never given an apology for any miscommunication or perceived theft. I was simply instructed repeatedly to leave. My 2018 RSD has been ruined and this business has lost a die-hard customer for life. I will tell as many people as I can to steer clear of this business.

Great place in Bordentown

I found records I forgot about a long time ago. So wonderful to browse through the LPs and take a trip down memory lane. This is a fantastic store to pick up gifts for friends! I even found a bunch of foreign language LPs and CDs that I had to have.

Huge selection of used LPs and 45s, and a fair amount of new. A lot of CDs, too.

Knowledgeable staff. Great selection of audio equipment and records. I would recommend to stop by.read more

Found them through a FB post. I've past the store hundred of times and never knew they sold…read morerecords, always thought it was music instruments and equipment only. Anyway... They posted an ad for a sale on CDs. I responded back asking if they had any vinyl for sale and when they said yes, I decided to pay them a visit. Walking in you're greeted with exactly what I thought the store was. A musical equipment store. I saw a rack of records and as I walked to it, a rep came over to ask if I needed help. When I said I was interested in the records he said I was welcome to look at that rack but I probably wanted to look upstairs. He led the way upstairs and through a maze into a huge room with wall to wall racks of records!! Turns out I wasn't crazy, the record "store" is a new venture. They are just launching. But back to my visit. Wall to wall racks of records! I started at the far corner and worked my way through all the racks. Every genre was there! Even country which you never see. The bins were well marked and actually had what was listed. Everything was alphabetical! I worked my way around grabbing an album here and there. After a little over an hour of looking I headed to the register. While most of the records were priced, there were a few that weren't and the clerk quickly looked them up and gave me more than fair pricing on them. In just over an hour I added a couple of dozen records to the collection for a heck of a great price. Overall, very helpful and friendly staff. Very good selection of music (they have CDs, Dvds, and cassettes as well but I was there for vinyl so I didn't really look at those). Great prices. I found out after paying I came through the wrong door and their entrance door is actually in the back of the building. (I know for next time) I will definitely be back!

This store is a GEM!…read more I've been collecting records since the mid-1970s, managed record stores and I used to work in entertainment fir a couple of decades. I even went to the Grammies one year with Rage Against the Machine. The year Dylan won the Grammy, 1997 or 98. Great after party, btw. But I digress. Located on the site of an older, much more modest music store from much earlier, the current owners have remodeled and built up the floor space upstairs and downstairs substantially. 1). this store is packed with vinyl. The bins are full of vinyl, and the walls are covered with collector's vinyl. Stuff even I have not seen. 2). Their Jazz bins are awesome, full of great stuff, including an LP by the late, great Wardell Gray! 3). The Rock Bins are rolling with every kind of music, including folk, rock, new wave, punk, newer rock, you name it, it's probably here. 4). Downstairs is a load of classical music. Amazing! 5). The person running the store, Andrea, was super nice, professional, courteous and kind. Very helpful and personable. Also, knew her stock and offered many suggestions. She and her husband operate this store. I could go on, but in sum, this is by far the best used vinyl record store in all of Philadelphia and it's right here in Delaware County!!!! Also, they have a forty seat amphitheater for live concerts next door! Very proud to write this review. An epic store.

I live in Santa Cruz CA and have a modest LP collection (5,000). Whenever and wherever I travel, I…read morehit used record stores. I was visiting my mom in Manahawkin in October 2020, as she turned 90. I hit this place once and came back two days later. Both times had the place to myself with the owner. This cat has one of the finest stores I have ever seen. I carry notebooks looking for my top 21, top 100 in about 5 genres. The first day I found 4! this rarely happens! the second comb through, I casually asked him if he had any Dixieland. He knew his inventory, jumped around the counter and placed me in a section to die for. I bought 3 mint LPS from the early 50's and late 50s in this category. I was missing one Kinks lp (Nottingham Hillbilies) and just one more Aretha Franklin.....and sure enough he had them clean and fairly priced. I have been looking for Humble Pie's first two albums and BAM, found a double album of both I did not know existed. I can't wait to hit this shop when my mom hits 91. So glad I flew into Philly instead of North Jersey.

If he comes back call 911. He's a FN ahole. On and on. Evidently right before I walked in another customer walked out complaining about their practices. (I did not see this first hand) As I'm looking through the records he (the owner) starts engaging with another customer about a prospective employer for the customer. You don't wanna work for him. He's an ahole. He's a fn liar. He'll tell you one thing and then do another. On and on. I was right in front of him and said "tell me how you really feel" to which he looked shocked and then concerned that I might know the individual in question. Final straw was when he made a crack about his employee being a lesbian. Of I were her I would've knocked the crap out of him then and there. There are plenty of jobs out there. He had no idea who I was or who I knew. Wrong way to run a business. I will not be back.
