Warning!!!! Game Stop on Weber Rd is giving out false information and faulty systems. My son bought a used XBox on June 16 and the associate on the clock told him he had 30 days to return it. The box was marked as 30 day return. We were assured it worked and had even bought the extra warranty with it just in case that covered everything. The person working that sold it to us and told us verbally also you have 30 days to return it to get a refund. Assistant manager Jon said the associate had the wrong information. Again how is this our issue??? The system was faulty and lagging so my son took it back today and was told he would either have to sell it on Marletplace or trade it in. Why??? It had a 30 day return policy. They did say they would buy it off of him if he traded it in. He is a minor and was told to sign a paper. Should not have happened again last time I checked a minor. We went it because needless to say we were not happy! The assistant manager Jon told us oh well the associate should have verified he was 18 before having him sign. Didn't happen!!! We then wanted to get the system back so we can ship it in because apparently default systems can get a refund if we ship it but then again Assistant Manager Jon said there isn't anything they can do once a trade goes through it can't be reversed. Of course I was mad because a minor was told to sign a paper for trade was only to be signed by an adult 18 or older. He was given a gift card to use and it couldn't be reversed either so now infuriated. We told him to find what he can use the gift card on that is new and never opened because anything used they don't stand behind. Needless to say we have number to corporate and hope to get it resolved as my son is now out over $200.00 due to their misinformation. Will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!!! read more

We went to the GameStop at the Fox Valley Mall in Aurora and asked for a Sony PlayStation 4 controller red camouflage. Were told they didn't have any but the GameStop in Bolingbrook on Weber Road had four of them. Drove all the way to the store and Bolingbrook and was told we have them but we are not allowed to sell them because Sony said no not until Black Friday. The young salesman at the register was nice but the men not give a shit one way or another. We were told they had them in the store but they were not allowed to sell them they should not have told us they had them. The funny thing is there's a Target across the street they had 20 of them on hand on the shelves and sold us one. Will never go to GameStop again will first go to Target then to Walmart or somewhere else but not GameStop. I find this a bait and switch for only Black Friday. I wish I could give a negative star but that doesn't exist. Buyer beware first of all they're too expensive they say they're the cheapest but Target head everything they said they could not sell and was the same price. read more

As a woman who enjoys a video game or two, I can be a little apprehensive about new games stores. Here at this Gamestop though, everyone is super cool and always helpful. You can be fairly certain that when you ask about a game, at least one of the employees have played and mastered it. Their selection of used stuff is pretty big and I have never had a problem with any of my pre-orders. Well, I did have one, but that was my own fault for ordering a game that came out the same day as Call of Duty which was not Call of Duty. My bad. Good store, great people! read more

Came here yesterday to try and trade in a DS and the staff was less than enthusiastic to help out. Ended up not even able to make the trade, and just wasting my time. Went next day to the Promenade location on East Boughton and was tooken care of very well. I will never go back to this location and will only due business with promenade location,or drive to Fox Valley mall if need be. read more

Stopped in for some wishful thinking type of purchase of a NES Classic Mini Edition, but was told I was too late since shipments come in sporadically and they never know what they get! The staff member was quite kind in providing some tips and on where I can get my hands on one at other retailers, which he didn't have to do and could have just told me to keep coming back, but he didn't! He did do his job and mentioned several deals they had in store from t-shirts, toys sales, and what's new/ coming soon. I really did try to not spend any money, but I walked out with a super cool NES bookbag that was on sale! It had caught my eye as I was heading out, and I was just curious as to how much it was since it was hanging on the top shelf. The guy working didn't have to, but he went back, grabbed a ladder, climbed up and grab the bag for me, just to try it on, feel it, and what not. He could have just looked it up on the computer, but he went above and beyond. That definitely earned my business. read more

Alright, I have been going here since..2010? Well ever since I got my xbox 360 i started going here to get my games. This gamestop has extremely friendly workers, except one which I will not mention, they help you with anything, and always take time to explain everything thoroughly. Whether it'd be about trading, buying pre-owned games, or even trying to return something, I have annoyed these guys so many times! Yet they still are extremely nice. The store is very neat and uniquely designed, everything is easy to find as well, and they are very easy to communicate with, I would recommend this store to all my friends if I haven't already.
