I told my son that gamestop was giving away free stuff to kids who are celebrating their birthdays. He found the item I was looking for at another location, meaning he checked the quantity for that item at differentnearby store and called them to verify. He did that without me asking. Had to find a new GameStop cause the guy was to lazy to pay me for my item. Wouldn't recommend this location.

I went in April 10th 2024 and immediately the middle aged white guy working there gave me a look like I just walked into his house. I wanted to sell my Nintendo switch and games and as soon as he looked at the stuff I had he treated me like he was doing me this huge favor just by looking at it. I couldn't get a hello or anything from this guy besides the look of digust. I could tell that he was going to try to find anything little thing to where he could refuse my service. He asked for my id and I gave him a valid drivers license that wasn't expired but since it had corner was chipped just a bit he refused to take it. You would have thought my id was broken in half or unreadable by how he grabbed it. He told me technically it's not a valid id since the corner is chipped a bit. I buy alcohol and get into clubs all the time with that ID and even cross the border with it but this guy said it wasn't valid. So I just took my stuff back and went to the GameStop nearby that gave me amazing service and took my ID no problem. When I told the other GameStop worker what happened they just started laughing and saying the guy was being a dick. I strongly recommend going to the GameStop by Cerritos instead. Stay away from the bellflower location unless you enjoy crappy customer service and weird eye contact from a middle aged sad man read more

Very un professional, had a nintendo switch on layaway since September try to go and pay the rest of the balance in December and they can't find it. They sold everybody who had one on layaway, bad management and no kind of solution, they told us to call all the gamestops and find out if they have one then they can call that store and put a hold for us to go pick it up, what kind of company is this read more

I come in here very rarely because I'm not a gamer. *gasp* I know, I know lol. Anyway, I have started collecting the Funko Pops so I went in recently to see what they offer. I was assisted by Wes who was very helpful. They didn't have a good selection of the FP's I'd personally like to purchase but I guess that's to be expected. I did end up purchasing Buddy the Elf which floated my boat. We'd let me see the list of all the FP's that are hitting their stores in the next few weeks (without me even asking him for it) which I thought was cool. Excellent customer service! I went in needing assistance with games I purchased on a promotion that another GameStop claimed they couldn't help and I knew that couldn't be true. I came in, explained my situation and they helped me no problem. They even exchanged the blank case the other game stop gave me since I told him all the games I purchased were Christmas gifts without me having to ask. To be honest this is the worst GameStop I have ever been to. I was in Cerritos location and they were so nice on helping me out and calling other locations for the product that I was looking for. So they kept calling the location in Bellflower and never picked up the phone after about 10 tries. So I drove down there myself spoke with a girl name Larissa and finding out she was the manager. And to be honest she was the worst!!! Also when I got there they still kept on ignoring phone calls that was coming into the store. And the other employee just stated " oopps, did I hanged up by accident".... really!?!?. She couldn't help me in the situation that was happening and pretty much holding product for herself or possibly for her friends! When I know that when you pre-order anything they hold it at least into 72 hours to the can release it for retail again! Not holding something for 2 weeks waiting for payday, sorry but that's not my problem, If you can't afford it don't buy it. Is GameStop just giving out manager positions to anybody!!! WOW read more

Now please don't get this twisted. This two star review (which I hate doing btw) IS NOT based on my experience with the service. All my experiences with the managers, assistant managers and other associates have been amazing. However, every time I've seemed to have a problem? It's been the really poorly put together policies. Now the lady I talked to was Ivy (she was AMAZING). I went in there knowing exactly what I needed and she asked if she can help out, I said yes please I need a Funk POP Protector while I go across the wall and grab a copy of Smash. She happily agreed and even waved up towards me when she had it just to show me before I made my way over with Smash. Now everything for this POP protector seemed to be in order, the plastic was all in one piece, no nicks or scratches, nothing like that. So I got home, took off the plastic wrap and just as it comes off, the bottom of the protector falls out along with several shards of plastic. So unbeknownst to the both of us, I'd bought a defected product. Now my ex-girlfriend currently works as an assistant manager for a store out in Kentucky, and she informed me that the company is not allowed to sell broken or defected items, they should not only NOT have made it's way onto the shelves, but they have a special way of cataloging them (if I understood her correctly) and keep them in the back not to be sold. So I went back to my local store and Ivy was still there so I told her how you couldn't tell from the outside, so no worries on her point, but when I got home to put the POP that was a gift inside the protector, the lid on the bottom fell through and the shards dropped out with it, in which she told me it was policy that they are not allowed to take back any opened goods, whether defected or broken. I even told her I didn't want any credit or money back, I just wanted to swap it out for the other one in the store, which she informed me that it was already purchased. She then said the only thing I would be able to do is go all the way out to South Gate to go buy another one. I asked if I did that, would it be put on hold and would they just let me swap it out since this defect wasn't my fault, in which she regretfully told me that wouldn't be able to happen. Again, this review is NOT based on the service, but these stupid policies. I get having this policy in place for VIDEO GAMES, however, if you sold me a broken or defected product and then basically tell me "tough luck buy another", then you need to reevaluate your return policies and not be so lazy with it and put everything under one umbrella. I can now see why everyone speaks so ill about Gamestop and why it's been going down hill. Hopefully this can get fixed, but as of now, I'll be taking my business to Gameplay or another mom and pop video game shop. read more

This place is by far the worst games stop I have ever had the dis pleasure of going into. The service there is complete crap and the employees are not knowledgeable when it comes to games or the products being shipped to the store. Dude who opens the store is the worst though. I have been trying to get ahold of Consol system and I was told that they were getting the product in by Friday and to call back on Thursday to confirm. Then I call on Thursday and I'm told the product may not even be available at all I said I'll just come back in when you guys open at nine the man in the morning told me don't even bother to do that because he didn't even think that the product was coming in. So I call Friday morning and they tell me the product is coming in but it's too late because there's already a line of people ready to purchase the item. I would've came in and been the first of mine but I was told not to buy the serviceman there. Like I said completely unknowledgeable and know nothing about the products coming in crappy Store if you have the option to go somewhere else I would suggest that most game stops are knowledgeable and games and consoles at this place doesn't know anything at all. read more
