Awesome place! Worth every penny! Although if you don't have your own gear and need to rent then out, you'll need to be there very early since their selection is quite limited. Fun place to play airsoft. New owners can't wait to go back. Tons of different fields to play on from speed ball to some forest play. Landscape was neat because the area stays green even in November. One thing I wish was different we had to wear paintball masks. But I guess the insurance requirements are what they are. I will definitely be returning for some more game play. read more

First time here was underwhelming. Wanted to rent a gun but there weren't any available, although they had about 10 showcased they said all of them needed repairs. Gameplay was really not what I expected, too many people "holding their position" for long periods of time in the same spot... Had one guy spawn camping us, out ranging many people on my team. Had one guy mean mug my friend but I said wuz good and stared back. Seemed to work, I didn't catch him looking at us again like that. I'm fine with looks it's a given people would look, but not staring looking us up and down with a mug on their face. A few people seemed irritated my brother and friend were newbies but overall people were pretty friendly and didn't hesitate to answer any questions. read more

This incident just ruined my whole day at Gamepod. I'm a teen who goes there for fun everyone in a while and this happened the last game of the day. 1st incident. I shot a guy twice while he is shooting my teammates, he continues shooting at them so I shot him 3 more times. Then he comes up to me yelling why did I shot him so many times. I yell I stop shooting when I see a hand up. I keep guarding the same side and three more times I shoot him when he was trying to push up. At this point he is not calling it till about the 5 th shot. Then he comes back up one last time and shrugs all hits and claims he shot me when he never even had his gun up towards my direction. Then he shoots me twice point blank after he is out because he is mad. The ref was watching the whole time and claims he never saw him shoot me and just totally defends him. I try to walking away but the ref was literally making fun of me and talking crap about me when I was trying to walk away. I go back and explain to him multiple times what happens but he just keeps defending the other player. Then the guy who shot me point blank walks up to me trying to intimidate me and just claims that he is shooting me and the one ref in the place keep acting like I was in the wrong. At this point I just walk of the field and leave mad. The ref was short and fat wearing a dye mask. ( just a description) Also in my time there almost all the refs don't do their job correctly. Only two refs are fair and good. read more

Two words..... Fricking awesome. Don't think they allow swearing on yelp. Staff are friendly, they go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Refs are fair and don't tolerate cheating. Gampod Airsoft Area. Not a bad field. Cool space lots of places to hide. I have been coming here the last year and I have noticed the changes this place goes through. Right now they are in the process of adding a evike outlet hub to this field. Maybe this is why the rules got alot more severe or atleast now they are enforcing them more like how it should have been. This is a cheaters paradise as long as you don't get caught by refs. This is the one thing that will never change. I run a runcam 2 and gopro so will check footage when i can. Another thing to add as anyone who attends this field. Follow the rules, listen, and always keep your gun on semi cause you wont remember the rules in the heat of the moment, atleast i can not. No full auto shooting out buildings, and cannot shoot anyone 10ft front to front. Just what i went through unfortuately. You could lose alot of money due to the rules if you are not coming here every week or not your main field so if your unfamiliar with the enviroment it will bite you hard. I believe this field is not new player frendily, go to other fields first then here if you just wanna shoot alot of people in the game enviroment. I took my 16 year old son here a few weeks ago to test the game out to see if he likes it before I thought about dishing money for a Christmas gift. He came and was a little nervous, I could tell, but the employees here were very helpful. From what I could see the players were friendly, he said a few were jerks, but overall the rest were very nice and gave him suggestions. The layout is awesome and it looks like a fun place to play. The food guy showed up and all the grub looked tasty. Unfortunately my son got a migraine (interesting because he used to get those a lot when he pitched in baseball) and had to leave half way through the game. The employees and a few players showed concern and that made me instantly realize that this is the place to go. I will be bringing my son back again on December 26th or 27th and he is excited to be coming back. read more

Worst rule ever!!..2 man surrender.. what is that.. basically you run up. 2 guys there even if there backs are towards you, can only bang 2 people.. are you kidding me. They want you to camp one area. Not move anywhere.. basiclly play call of duty. . Campers. Im never coming here. 25 bucks to camp .. ill.pass. theres other fields that allow multiple surrenders.. cqb city, and galt.. way better.. why pay money and not be able to play at your full potential. . On a good note there are a couple cool refs.. but other than that not worth it.. , being called a douche by a player cuz he got hit by his own team mate because I ran up on him and his team mate shot at me.. and hit him too.. fucking grow up... over it. read more

Went airsofting here for the first time with some friends. It was organized and run really well. Games lasted about 45 minutes with two before an hour long lunch break and two after. It was $30 for entry and $35 to rent equipment. Keep in mind the 400 fps limit for guns, because they will not let you use them if they are over. Not my favorite place to airsoft.... But its not bad. It gets really really hot inside, and the lighting is absolutely horrid. Unless you are tactical equipped and have superior weaponry, then your just going to get shot up. Good for competitive players. read more

What a BLAST!!! My son's 14th birthday was a hit! Let me first say, arriving to the warehouse was a little intimating as the other patrons looked hardcore in all their camo and little wagons full of ammo, guns and gear, but I quickly got out of the car and started talking to a few of the guys parked next to us, who were very friendly. Once inside, the herd quickly moved to the staging area where you grabbed a table to unload and set up your gear. I would recommend anyone who is not playing to bring a beach chair. My son was able to borrow gear from a friend so his friends had the rented stuff. The gear to rent was a simple semi-automatics rifle/gun, cartridge, mask and bag of bb's. Wish they rented extra cartridges so you didn't have to come out of the game. Since we were unfamiliar with our gear, a few of the veteran players were super helpful in getting us loaded and ready. Definitely bring gloves (not too thick), something to cover your throat, padded shirt, long pants (camo or black), knee pads, and ball cap. I met Josh, Raul the manager and TJ, my "body guard". I'm a professional photographer and wanted to shoot my son and his friends in action... the crew at Gamepod were wonderful to accommodate my request, but made sure i knew i would get shot at ha ha ha. It was great! In spending time with TJ, he shared the history of the place and so much more. He made the birthday party so much fun for me. During our lunch break he even made everyone sing off key to my son which was fabulously embarrassing. I plan on coming back with a group of bad-to-the-bone mamas, some who are in law enforcement and adventure seekers. Although we had ordered pizza, I didn't realize that they had a "taco truck" there serving different types of food which smelled good and was reasonably priced. We will be back... Amazing time there, great refs, great players, I used to go to CQB city until I found this place, lets just say I wont be going to CQB city for a long time. 1. Games are fun, and a challenge for teams or players who go it alone. 2. I got to play with veterans so that was cool, to go up against some of the best. 3. The field itself is one of a kind, a fully mocked up town, an actual town! There's a gas station, an airport with a plane, apartments, varying small businesses, and actual cars that you can use as cover. 4. The refs are always keeping watchful eyes for cheaters, so if somebody cheats, they go to jail for a determined amount of time, a real jail, with jail cells the cheaters have to wait inside of. If you haven't, go there ASAP and try this place out! read more

This place was the first place where I started off airsofting. It's pretty much a big indoor arena that has multiple tiny huts for people to camp. It's well organized, and there are street and building names to coordinate where you are going. The lighting in there isn't that great, so sometimes its hard to see where people are hiding, but I feel like the lighting makes it more suspenseful because you will never know where you get shot from. They also sell lunch there as well which makes it more convenient for us airsofters. Overall it's a great place to go airsofting. The staffs there are pretty cool; many of them have quite a handful of knowledge about airsoft, so they can actually help you out or give some information on your airsoft problems. The only thing that I am super stingy about Gamepod is their restrooms. It's a god damn Porta Potty, but other then that the only other problems I have at Gamepod is the players...there are some cheaters there that never call their hits. It's not Gamepods fault though that people are dishonest players, but whenever there is a problem, the refs will take care of it. read more

Sooooo....it's nice to have an airsoft place closer to the Bay Area but be warned: this place is not the most well set up outfit: there is sub par service, no support or parts there like other at fields. I know it's not their fault when a gun jams, but they jam a lot and it sure would be nice to have parts, service etc. So, my kid waited in line, paid, gun jammed first shot, and it was like, sorry, no refunds. I have played at Gampod ever since they had opened. The staff, service, and rules were great up until recently (as of 02/09/19). New refs are completely garbage and hold hard bias against teams they do not know. I was given a marked warning on my wristband for going "full auto" when it was clearly burst between my shots. While I heard an HPA guy going practically full auto the whole game which sounded like he wasn't monitored or even marked based on how he was shooting the whole game. After that second game my team and I were constantly followed and harassed by one referee in particular with a foliage covered mesh mask and helmet. Another one of the referees aggressively accused one of my team members for apparently "shooting through a crack, asking if he could "check his Gopro footage after" and talked to him like a child. Felt harassed by the refs the whole day while playing, service was absolutely dogshit, they did not care at all as to how they talked to my team and I accusing us without actually watching us play. Probably my worst experience to date with Gamepod. Extremely disappointed how they have unprofessionally handled situations and customers. read more

This place has a great set up and boasts one of the more robust cqb layouts I've ever played at. That being said, I do have a few complaints: -First, by about 1PM it was just ridiculously hot and humid inside the building. It was definitely as hot or hotter inside than it way outside. So if you do go, bring lots of water and ice if you can (and some anti fog and a sweat rag)! Also, don't overdo it with the layers. -The heat I could deal with, but what really knocked this down was the refs. Some of the refs there are extremely young and inexperienced at both reffing and customer service. The directions for each mission seemed to be thrown together as we went along, and there was no real clarity. Also, when I did have an issue (which I'll mention in a minute) the refs proved their incompetence (one totally forgot his equipment and was ignoring us while we were dealing with cheaters and I had gotten bloodied up). One was literally looking over in a corner shooting a barrel with his pistol instead of reffing and helping us out with the issue like he was supposed to. -Last thing, I feel like the refs need to crack down on engagement distances. The minimum engagement distance for guns that shoot over 350 feet per second is 25 feet. Also, when turning a corner you're supposed to put your gun on semi and use the "bang rule" if they're too close. This guy turns the corner and shoots me with his rifle on full auto from about (no exaggeration) 10 inches away. He shot me right on the bare arm and yes, 3 of the shots broke skin, and yes, I was bleeding quite a bit. Its airsoft and I realize it's dangerous, and I'm fine with playing zero minimum engagement distances and taking some heavy hits, but my understanding was that no one should be shooting even a little spring pistol from that close, so I dressed and geared up lighter. This was definitely not the only time I got shot at way too close while I was there, but that was the only time I came out of the engagement bloody. Bottom line: the refs need to be paying attention a little bit more and help resolve the situation when approached by a bloodied player instead of playing around with their pistols and shooting at barrels. Fun place, but incompetent refs and disregard for minimum engagement distances made the experience a little less fun than it should have been for the outrageous $30 they charge. read more
