This is not true of all of the other learners, which may contribute to the challenge for the teachers. However, teaching methodology seems loose and disjointed. For instance, one brief demonstration of a SERIES of instructions (for a course of activities) does not insure comprehension or performance! Maybe having a video to watch+re-watch, while waiting your turn, would help. Also, I'd like to see more feedback and analysis of form, along with specific instruction for improvement, be provided. We are very frustrated in our search to find kid gym classes that are up to the norm we were experiencing 10 yrs ago (Santa Rosa area)!!!

Fans and shop vacs lying around. There are damaged foam blocks that look like babies have been chewing on them. It's actually wild that this is advertised as a place for parents to bring toddlers. You will have to spend the entire time making sure they don't hurt themselves.

I worked with Jackie, Joyful, TL, Mobius, and so many other team members; I'm so grateful to have performed my show THE ANTI "YOGI": Liberation, Not Lululemon, at such a supportive space! I was impressed by the community engagement, hunger, and interest to listen/participate/share. The artwork presented inside is beautiful, the space hosts so many types of shows- and it can accommodate a lot of people! It is truly a communal space; hosting lunchbox sessions to discuss the topics with the artists coming in and the radio station is right next door. Everyone is very supportive toward artists and helping artists; they are engaged in supporting the artist however they may need. They display art work/exhibits in the common area and try to bring in diverse stories that need to be heard. I definitely will recommend this place and festival with others! Thank you all to the team, the viewers, and the community! My percussionist, Neel and I had a tremendous experience and very much wish to return again soon. Please check out what this space does!

Live music, community theater, art performances, circus shows big and small, kid's programs and summer classes and a few things I'm sure I'm leaving out. Our most recent visit was for the theater costume clearance sale, it opened at 10 this past Saturday morning - we arrived at around 11:30 and it was over! It is what it is! This also shows how popular this local venue is. This is a great playhouse that supports and helps a multitude of organizations within the local community. Because of the unique nature of this facility it runs hours accord to the event(s) it is hosting at that time. I was unsure how it would feel - if there would be a feeling of watchfulness, or pressure to come in as a poker player. In fact, it was totally relaxed, the staff friendly and unpretentious, and despite just having a beer and hanging I was told to sit anywhere, even at an empty poker table. I really enjoyed it. I'll drop back in for a beer, football, and maybe to play some chess with a friend (they have a board set up, along with some other games). Really cool, unexpected little spot. Check it out. I hope in the future they update this feature with comfy recliner chairs and an elevated movie experience. I understand it can also be for concerts so some compromising must be done. Unfortunately I did not use the restroom or order food so I couldn't tell you what that was like. I was highly disappointed with their rug near their kitchen area and hallway. Old town Eureka has so much to see and do... It's a fantastic area to just wander…read more All kinds of different shops from antique shops, to clothing, shops, to shops where you can buy items from Humboldt County. The chain "restoration hardware" started right here in old town. They also have both new and used book shops. One of them is the bookLegger, which has both. A fun shop to stop in is Seymour's novelty shop. From Whoopie cushions, to pink flamingos, to everything in between. There is also a "California visitors center", where you can go in and get local tourist information. There are some great places to eat, from restaurants to otherwise. My two favorites are "los bagels" on 2nd St., and "living the dream ice cream". at the foot of F Street... In season, you can take the Humboldt Bay Harbor tour on the Madaket, a historic boat which used to be a ferry before the days of the Samoa Bridge. During the summer. They have a big open air market on Friday night, and the old town Fourth of July festival is another open air market. That is also lots of fun to visit. The crown jewel of old town has to be the Carson mansion.... A beautiful old building. Unfortunately, it's not open to the public, as it's a private club, but if you know a member, or you can get get in as part of an event, it's really nice on the inside. There are some homeless people in old town, but they pretty much stay to themselves, the best thing to do is just use common sense. You will have a great time here. On the first Saturday of every month, is the popular "arts alive festival." From 6 to 9 PM, they have live music, late night, gallery openings, and businesses celebrating the local vibrant arts scene. It's very popular, and another great event.

Main attractions in Old Town are: Harbor walk, be safe as the homeless can be aggressive here. Many good dining options, including Lost Coast Brewery Cafe, Brick & Fire Bistro, Five Eleven, Phatsy Kline's Parlor and Lounge, etc. Eureka Visitor Center - Another one of my highlights of the trip, but then I happen to crash the grand open party! Dick Taylor Craft Chocolates. Carson Mansion - Looks good from the outside. Close to the public. Main attractions in Eureka are: Micro Breweries - So many to choose from, the most popular one is probably Lost Coast. Of course we went to both their locations and a few more other breweries. The Redwood Curtain Brewery also stood out for us on this visit. They also have Cider companies, but that is not my preference/not my drink of choice. Sequoia Park - I enjoyed this. A nice easy walk/hike. Sequoia Park Garden - Really small, but still very nice and beautiful. The caregiver was also really friendly. Sequoia Park Zoo - If I had young kids, I would have enjoyed it more. My daughter enjoyed it. Atmosphere - Historic, victorian homes, art, etc. Kind of reminds me of Napa or Carmel... Small city, but I am told the largest for their county. I believe the largest coastal city is between SF and Portland, OR. The city is approximately 14.5 sq miles with 26.5k population. Service - Good. Mostly self service walking around Old Town. Price - Depends on what you buy, eat, or drink. Owner Comments - Congrats on Eureka's success since 1850. 1856 Incorporated. 1874 - Reincorporated.

For me, it doesn't get much better than Crabs Baseball!!…read more I'm a big fan of heckling, the fanbase for the Crabs does NOT disappoint. While visiting from Seattle I brought my kids for the first time (ages 7 and 9). They were quickly able to get into the spirit, making friends with all of the people surrounding them. Our fellow hecklers passed down their wisdom with classics like "I've seen better arms on a snake" and "I've seen better swings in a playground". The food and drinks are affordable, the crowd is the best, and live sports are always a fun option...especially when the tickets are so inexpensive. May this space never change!

The hometown fans were super welcoming and friendly. The band was delightful - Nirvana to Neil Diamond. The hotdogs were delicious. The best part was the Crabs came out of the dugout after EVERY inning to share words of encouragement and high fives with each other. Can't wait to visit next summer to cheer on the Crabs again!
