As soon as you walk in you are met with two kiosk where you can buy your tickets. You can add gift cards and optional membership #. Otherwise you can pay online. Something that grossed me out where the carpets. Goodness looks like dirt caked into the carpet. We need rug Dr in the house ASAP!!! Or at least a whole carpet removal! Used the restrooms, seemed fairly clean with the exception of a pooped toilet. I made sure to use the restroom in the fartest entrance. Prior to my visit, I had gone to see Zootopia and cannot believe how people on five dollar Tuesday treat the environment where they have wrappers on the floor and it is just pandemonium. Overall, I was rated as a B minus experience, but I really enjoyed the movie Hail Mary. Sadly, on a Tuesday the bigger theaters for $5 Dollar Tuesdays were trashed. This is definitely an older theater, don't expect fully reclining seats with footrests, or anything like that. Saying that, the seats are comfortable, and the picture sound are good. The movie prices are reasonable. They do an overall good job of keeping up the theater. We came to see "back to the future", which was celebrating its 40th anniversary with a re-release on the big screen. It's a fun movie and it was great to see it on the big screen again. The way they do the tickets, is they don't have a separate ticket booth, the people who run the snack bar also sell the tickets. The problem is, when we were there, there were only two people at the snack bar, and they were selling tickets and running the snack bar at the same time. My sister ,and I waited in line over 10 minutes, and we were still quite a ways from the front of the line. I made a comment how one person should just be selling tickets, and fortunately , another person in line ahead of me heard my comment, and said that there was a ticket kiosk, and he pointed it out to me. We didn't want anything at the snack bar, so I went over to the kiosk to get our tickets, and we headed into the theater. The reason I'm taking away a star, as while it's nice to have the ticket kiosk, As happened to us, if you don't know, it's there, you will miss it. There should be something that points you to the ticket kiosk, so that you don't automatically get in line if you don't know it's there. That was a bit of an inconvenience and if we would've had to wait in that long line to buy our tickets, we would've missed the beginning of the movie. Now that we know about the kiosk, we will use it in the future. They just need to be more obvious about letting people know it's there. read more

This theater is nicely priced and most of the staff is good. There is one person who will talk your ear off as you try to buy tickets and he will make you late to your show. The screens and seats are acceptable. Some screens are better than others. The biggest problem I have found is the lack of sound proofing. You can often hear the movie next door if it is a loud action or horror film. Also, this theater has the worst woman's bathroom. It's dirty and most of the stalls don't work. You would be lucky to find a door that locks or in some cases, closes at all. Popcorn is good when it's fresh tho. read more

Nice but Needs a Facelift 3.5 Stars. This theater is located in the City of Eureka. It has 8 movie screens in the building. We watched The Cursed in a last showing on a Saturday evening and the price was pretty cheap at $10 a person for general admission. Don't expect a chain of movie theaters with multiple screens, reclining luxury lounger seats or reserved seating options (not that it mattered in our case). This is a small movie house with friendly service and a nice smile. The box office at the front was closed so we had to purchase tickets at the concession stand. Lucky for us it's the last showing that evening and there were only a handful of moviegoers so we went straight to an open cashier. We also bought popcorn and drink. The theater could use an upgrade. It is decent but outdated and very dim in the lobby area. Inside the movie the chairs are old and so close to each other. We sat towards the back where the row only had four seats (two seats that were a few feet away from the other two seats). We were spoiled from our theaters at home. I've never had to sit so close to my hubby in a movie theater LoL! The movies were all current. The Cursed was only in its second day after its release date. Easy to join their movie goers club - just ask the concession person to enter it for you - just requires name and phone #. My friends and I like to come to this theater often despite its flaws (like being older, smaller, dirty, and pretty run down to be completely honest) because their movie selection and staff were still great, but last night crossed the line and I don't think we'll be back again. My friend has had a free movie available for several months now, but they always deny her redeeming it because the movies we want to watch are "too new?" Even though there were only 3 more days left of its showing? It's about to expire next month before she can even redeem it because every movie is exempt from the promotion! They also downsized all their candy to be standard, so you're paying $5 for the same sized box as the ones from Dollar Tree. The worst part was when they straight up denied my friend from purchasing a water bottle in the middle of the movie around 9:30 pm because "everything was already closed", what?! She was having a coughing fit and needed water, but the female employee was incredibly rude and literally waved her away. We will only be going to theaters in Arcata now, because despite them being smaller, their workers are genuinely kinder and that's all that matters. read more

Me and some friends went there for $6 movie night for a 9:10 pm screening and arrived at 9:20. The theatre was already locked and once I explained we had online tickets they unwillingly let us in. They refused popcorn because they were already closed down for the night (despite there being people in the theatre starting a movie). I live here and love this place. It's all we got so why complain. I go to the Tuesday 5 Buck shows. I bring my own seasoning for the corn. We make do here and you outsiders can go on somewhere else. I would give this theater less than one star if possible. I have never been to a theater with such a small screen and absolutely nothing showing on the screen for previews. Came here on a Saturday early afternoon to see Onward. The ticket booth at the front was closed so you have to purchase tickets at the concession stand, which was a pretty long and slow line for me since I only wanted a ticket and it seemed like all the people in front of me were families and buying concession snacks and drinks. There were only two registers open but later on they opened a third one. There are a few arcade games and a claw machine with stuffed animals but pretty minimal compared to other theatres. The bathroom was pretty clean. The movie theatre is pretty old fashioned and outdated, felt like I'm back in time a few decades ago. Even though the seats are old, they are decently comfortable compared to some other theatres. A nice upgrade would be recliner seats. They have a website to purchase tickets online but would be nice to have this theatre on the Atom and Fandango apps too. Tuesday's are only $5 all day for tickets! Early showing pricing is before 2PM for $7.50. Matinee pricing is $8 before 5PM and evening is $9.75 for adults. If you're a student and show your ID, you can get $1 discount for evening showings and if you're military and show ID, you can get $0.50-$1 discount for matinee & evening showings. There are 2D and 3D options for the most recent movie that came out and times range from 11AM-9:45PM. They have a rewards program too! Plenty of parking in the lot. read more

Last night was my third time here. I'm hoping it was just an off night but the men's room was flooded with water from an overflown toilet. No one attended to it. The popcorn was dry, no salt, and although we added our own butter it just didn't taste right. We sat in theater 12 which was a smaller theater and it had newer seats! I've sat in other theaters here with old musty seats so I was kinda dreading having to bare that again. They still do not recline but at least they were not stinky. It's an older theater and the only one in eureka. I just hope they don't let it get really bad. read more

I think I have been going to this theater all my life. I don't recall a time when Broadway wasn't around. Seeing the changes overtime has been neat. I remember when there wasn't the awesome sound or that there were half the screens. The seats at most of the screens have been replaced with more comfortable ones. The screens with stadium seating have almost no leg room though. Some screens still have the old-old seats in them (imagine worn springs poking you in the hind quarters). I dread going into those theaters when it is that way. The bathrooms could use some TLC too. They often look gross and sinks or hand driers work intermittently. They have an inspection chart, but I never believe it when I see it considering the condition of the rest rooms. The snack bar seems to be up to date with all the latest options and prices. The staff is always nice to interact with. There is ample parking and the parking lot is easy to get into. If all their theater seats were fixed and the bathrooms looked more presentable I would give the place 5 stars. read more

I don't particularly like this theatre. Usually I will go to Mill Creek in McKinleyville, but sometimes they aren't showing what I want to see and I have to come to Eureka and go to Broadway Cinema. I was here the other day and they've added on this weird new wing to the theatre to make it bigger, but the rooms they put in are so small that it makes it feel way too cramped in the room and you feel like someone sitting two seats down from you is on top of you. Not the movie experience I'm looking for. read more

Management does not do anything about it. If you complain, they basically tell you to kick rocks. And they refuse to give refunds. Go to a different theater. Went here to see Rough Night (Cheesy movie, btw...wait for dvd/HBO) here. It is one of the few movie theaters way up this way. Old school seating, old school theater. Reminded me of the Mann Theaters I worked at during my teenager years. Nobody working the box office. Bought our tickets via the machine inside, and then when we went to go into the theaters, nobody was there taking tickets. Probably could have just strolled on back for free! (This was on a Monday afternoon). Typical prices for popcorn and drinks. Free refill on Large items. Workers were friendly and the theater was pretty clean (Only one other guy in the theater besides me, my mom and brother). Limited options up this way, but this theater was OK. read more

Have had some pretty awesome memories here. Saw premiere of Jurasic Park 2: The Lost World here with a huge group of friends; two of whom who were extras in the movie since it was filmed in Humboldt County (they were hunters i.e. raptor snacks). Also saw the re-issue of Star Wars (the '78 one) with a huge group of friends: Awesome. I remember seeing Frida with a friend here and the movie abrubtly ending when the film was melted by the projector (we were all given free movie passes). Stopped by here to see "I Love You Man" yesterday with friends--it was a hella funny guy movie. Another nice experience logged in my brain. :) read more

It's an okay cinema. It's not really clean but it's not super dirty either. All cinemas are like that. The theater is small but it's Eureka is a small city so what do you expect? Some movies need to be seen in the theater. Some are just OK and can be watched on Netflix. For the former be sure to hit Broadway Cinema, it's the closest thing Humboldt has to the big AMC theaters elsewhere. I also like Mill Creek Cinema up in McKinleyville but if you're on the Eureka side, hit up Broadway and remember to buy some nachos or something.
