We just closed on our home and would love to say a few words about our experience with Melanie…read more While beginning the home search on our own we were hoping to meet someone we could entrust to be our realtor. Unfortunately, after attending several open houses in the area, we did meet several realtors but none of which was courteous enough to actually take us seriously or return our phone calls to help us find a property that best suited our needs. In an intense real estate market like Brooklyn's, it did not seem as though anyone cared enough to actually help us find a home that worked for us....it seemed as though they must have so many potential buyers for these properties that the human aspect of their job went out the window. That was when we met Melanie at an open house. From the start she was very professional. At the open house she allowed us to explore the home on our own and made herself available if we had any questions, rather than most who follow you around so closely you can feel them breathing down your neck. We liked the property we saw, but we didn't love it. We chatted for a bit and Melanie asked if it was okay to contact us with any properties that might fit with our needs. I honestly thought to myself, sure we will hear from you, just like everyone else said they would contact us. Much to our surprise, Melanie did reach out to us about a week later and showed us a few more properties. What is unique about Melanie in this market is that she actually cares about her clients and wants to help them find a home that suits them, rather than just making a quick sale. This was apparent in our conversations and with our discussions with her regarding the property we ultimately purchased. Melanie is genuinely a caring individual whose charisma is contagious and her level of experience is apparent in the relationship we established. We thank her for helping us find our first home and are very lucky to have met her. Also of note, we met Wade Jabour and Andrew at second viewings of the 2 main properties we were interested in. They were both welcoming, professional, and informative, and we would like to recommend them as well. We highly recommend Melanie and Jabour Realty to anyone in their home search!

This was my very first time searching for apartments ever and I truly did not know what to expect and was nervous for the entire process up until the moment I confessed to Eddie that my roommates and I were not exactly sure what to look for in each apartment. As soon as I told Eddie that my roommates and I were new to the apartment-hunting world, he lit up and wholeheartedly took on the role of a trusted guide through this confusing process. He encouraged us to take our time to look through apartments in different neighborhoods. He answered every single one of our questions (and we had A LOT) even including ones about Real Estate in the city in general and the difference between pre-war and post-war apartments. He laughed and joked with us, he listened to all of our priorities and what we liked and didn't about each place, he made sure to stay at or below our price range for every apartment, and he even pointed us to a great bar to get a feel for the neighborhood after Day 1 of the search. I didn't end up renting through Eddie due to an unexpected roommate issue and, while I was so heartbroken that my plans in the gorgeous apartments that I viewed fell through, the aspect I was most upset about was not getting to rent through Eddie. I can't imagine a Real Estate Agent who I would've trusted more to get us in the best place possible. I could not have had a more enjoyable, stress-free, and just plain ol' fun experience. I will be recommending Eddie and Noah to everyone looking for an apartment in Brooklyn. Thanks so much for your patience, kindness, and help, Eddie!

It wasn't an easy property to sell but Maria didn't shy away from the challenge, she embraced it and aggressively sought out buyers. To my pleasure and surprise, Maria was able within one month to secure a buyer for a complicated property in the off season. From the start of the selling process, Maria brought to me a sound pricing strategy and the wealth of her real estate experience. In addition, I found her to be a very caring individual who was never to busy to answer a question, whether by text or phone. I highly recommend Maria Castellano to anyone looking to sell or buy property, her knowledge, attention to detail, strategy and care during the sales process is priceless.

Even if you have good credit score and money, it's still not easy to find a good place and have a reasonable realtor who can help you, there are so many details you need to know. I decided to give a try this company. First i got the call from Sam, he asked me what apartments i'm looking for and he sent me list with 5 places. They all were actually very good, I picked the one that was closest to my work and I scheduled showing. I met with Marvin and he was incredibly professional, honest and upfront. He answered to all my questions and showed me apartment, literally everything was clear and transparent for me. There was no weird feeling like with other agents I met recently and he was responding very fast to my messages. I applied in the evening and the next day in the morning i got the answer that I approved. It was very quick, specially when I didn't have much time left to find a new place, they just literally saved me! I wish I worked with them before in the beginning of the month, so I could save myself a lot of time and avoid so many problems with searching new places. Everything just went so smooth. Definitely recommend to everyone, you can rely on these guys. Everything went on high level of service and painless for me. Marvin and Sam, thank you again!

Seriously-- heed the reviews…read more Omar was 20 minutes late to our apartment viewing before calling to say he couldn't make it-- he seemed apologetic and gave us the code to let us into the apartment, so I shrugged it off. As it turns out, this wasn't a one-off and he often cancels on his clients with no notice. After viewing, we were pressured into putting in a competitive offer above the listed price, plus a 15% broker fee (absurd, but we were unfamiliar with the renting landscape in NYC after the FARE Act went into effect). It took almost two weeks, and many, many calls, emails, and texts from both of us and our guarantors (we spent literally hours trying to get in touch with Omar), to finally be sent the application materials. ANOTHER week passed with no reply or acknowledgement before we gave up on the unit. The whole experience left us feeling frustrated and ignored. Do yourself a favor, avoid this group and any of their units. No matter how much you like the apartment, there will be another one-- without the headache.

Completely unresponsive when there is a problem. The agent we worked with to secure an apartment…read morewas quite nice, and responsive. He was forthcoming about the fact that previous tenants had had issues with very bad noise levels from the apartment upstairs, and helped to facilitate a rider to the lease that allowed for an early opt-out from the lease if the conditions were untenable. Well, the conditions ARE untenable. We have been trying to exercise the opt-out provision, and the company has been TOTALLY unresponsive. They sent me a phone number, supposedly for the landlord, for me to call and arrange for the surrender of the keys and return of the deposit. No one ever answers that phone number, and no one ever returns calls. And the agent with whom we worked to secure the lease has now ghosted us. We will certainly not pay any further rent, as we have complied with the terms of the opt-out rider, but we may have to consult a lawyer and go to court to get our security deposit back. It's disgraceful!
