That first time, I ate there for dinner with my wife and we enjoyed it well enough. I vaguely remembered it as being a dark-ish pub type place with televisions and high booths. It was still that yesterday. I got there a few minutes after they opened at 11:00am. I had looked at their website before going and decided upon the Fish 'n' Chips combo. From the BoB's website: Fish 'N' Chips Combo Delicious beer-battered cod fillets fried to a golden brown, served with tartar sauce and fresh lemon. This combo also came with fries, cole slaw, and I added a drink. The waitress was very friendly and brought my drink out quickly. My Diet Coke tasted more like soda water than soda so I asked her for a replacement. She said she would get it from the bar this time and see if it was any better. She did and it was. My fish 'n' chips came out quickly and was quite hot (as cooked food will be). Lunch came in a plastic flat dish with a checkered sheet of paper lining the bottom. All told, there were 3 pieces of fish - each slightly smaller than a deck of playing cards, a goodly portion of medium cut fries, a small cup of cole slaw, a small cup of tartar sauce, and a wedge of lemon. I ate a couple of fries as is before I added ketchup. Nice and crispy, hot, and fluffy on the inside. Good enough to eat sans ketchup but I really like ketchup. It made them better. It also soaked through the paper lining so I ended up scraping all of the food off of it into the dish and throwing away the paper. No need to add bits of soggy paper to my lunch. I next tried the cole slaw and I was disappointed. It was room temperature which is puzzling, plus, it tasted...off. Not food poisoning off, just...weird. I added pepper to it and it did not improve. I set it aside and started on the fish. The fish was very good. Nice and crunchy batter, extremely flaky fish inside, and had an excellent fresh flavor. I really enjoyed it. I sampled the tartar sauce and like the cole slaw, it was room temperature. To me, both cole slaw and tartar sauce should be cold. The tartar sauce had an OK flavor. Nothing memorable. The wedge of lemon I ignored. I finished my lunch and it was filling. I did not have room for dessert even though I was eyeballing the cheesecake on the menu. I also did not need a refill on my Diet Coke. The combo was priced at $13.99 and the drink was $3.19. Overall, a decent lunch with the fish being the star. Excellent waitress, good service, quick turnaround time. I may or may not return.

When I arrived around 10pm on a Sunday night, the place looked like it was in transition to closing (chairs flipped over on tables, no patrons, staff members watching TV in empty booths). However, I was welcomed in to order by the friendly woman at the counter. She answered a few of my questions and when I asked what her favorite was, she immediately said, "Buckeye Garlic Pizza." I took her advice and was also able to add up to three toppings at no additional charge (mushroom, olive and sausage). I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes for my personal 10" pie, which came out hot and with a friendly, "Thank You, Sweetie." I ran the pie back to my hotel and opened up the box. The pie looked amazing. Perfectly crispy outer crust, six cheeses and garlic, along with my toppings. The pie was pretty damn good, with steam coming off the top. The six-cheese blend was interesting, with the dominant flavors being American and Cheddar. The sausage, olives and mushrooms were all fresh and plentiful. Definitely a good option to satisfy my hunger for a late night pizza in Downtown Columbus.

After getting the pizza the staff were so nice to also give us some ice water. I think I'd give the pizza itself a 3/5 mostly because it was very salty and greasy. However, I did enjoy that there were lots of pineapples on the pizza along with the crispy crust. Having the pizza the next day cold was also okay. Rather than removing food we did not eat from the bill, the manager offered a gift card for a future visit. We declined because we did not intend to return, yet we were still charged full price for both items. After a 1.5+ hour wait caused by a lost ticket, followed by food that was barely touched and immediately sent back because of the quality, charging full price was disappointing. The appropriate response is simply to make it right for the customer. We paid and still tipped but given their handling of the situation felt compelled to leave the review. Sad to say won't return after being long time customers.

But that question prompted her to ask if we were ready to order? Um yes. Our menus have been closed and our drinks are half gone. We are politely waiting for you. When the pizza arrived it looked fantastic but the crust was chewey and just off. The topping were fantastic we loved the sauce, pepperoni and canned mushrooms. I couldnt put my finger on what was wrong with the crust. It looked golden brown on the bottom but it was just off. My husband ate it and was happy. I was the only one questioning the crust. I think she checked on us once in passing. I know I asked for a refill for my empty glass of water. I set my credit card in front of me, pretty close to me ,- not pushed toward the bar tender. My goal was to signal "check please". She reached over and took the card without saying a word and ran it. Thankfully she gave us the bill with the slip to sign. We were billed correctly. I Signed the slip and we finally left to fix our plumbing issue at home.
