The food was great and the atmosphere relaxing but the staff is hit or miss. Some are extremely friendly and others are just plain rude. It doesn't really matter though because the food is excellent, prices are reasonable and the location is perfect right on the beach! Highly recommend

Food was excellent! Highly recommend the Green Seabass Ceviche, the Tuna Sashimi tostadas (a must!), the Prawn Red Curry, and the patatas bravas! The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was great!

Came here for lunch on a Monday with a group of 4. And were seated immediately, this place is super cute with green decor and it's all open looking directly out onto the beach. The service was great, our waitress didn't speak English but she was incredibly helpful. We ordered a 1.75 of Sangria which was delicious, not too sweet or dry. We ordered the fresh fish of the day and it was the most amazing, fresh fish I've ever had. It was the best thing we ate our whole trip in Europe. We highly recommend this place!!

Really terrible service. Good food but the servers and management are terrible. We asked for our waiter to turn the heater on... two times and to no avail. We then asked for blankets and he proceeded to bring the people next to us blankets but not us. Really disappointed.

I think prices are inflated here because of it's location, on the beach, and next to the W and other pricey places. The food was good, but portions were small, so we ended up having to keep ordering and had a pricier lunch than expected. Even our server was kind of insinuating that we would need to order more. I guess the context is also that we arrived at our hotel before the room was ready so we didn't go out of our way for Gallito, and in fact wanted to stay in that area. Context is also that we're Americans used to larger portion sizes and ordering 3 dishes amongst two people is usually plenty. We ordered the grilled langostine, very fresh and tasty, but so small, it only came with 3 and I think the dish cost about 20 euros! So each of those little babies was 6+, not worth it. The ceviche was fresh, and the flavors were all perfect, including the corn nuts! It added a nice texture. It wasn't served with chips or anything to really eat it with though. Patatas bravas was standard. Sangria was expensive. Still hungry, we ordered a langostine and vegetable curry that came with rice to fill us up. It was pretty good, a spanish twist on a typically Asian entree. The beachy ambiance and location was great. Service was generally nice. We sat outdoors and it started sprinkling while we were eating. We sat through it and it passed. Other customers wanted to move inside so the staff helped them move their food/tables/chairs/etc. in.

The paella al nero was perfection. Generous amounts of seafood and creamy texture. However, what completes this restaurant is the interior and location. The open kitchen and sophisticated beach house vibes were awe-worthy. Service was great. Best part was we had our meal on the patio facing the sea. What more can you ask for?

Great for a quick bite good beer and fried seafood. The view of the Mediterranean in an added bonus for this place. Touristy so if you don't like that you will not enjoy it.

Terrible. Stale chips, and our seafood rice only had one thing from the sea in abundance: salt. There are much better places in the area.

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

We were treated like locals with a warm welcome. Tables outside on the patio as well as cozy indoor seating. The house made lemon cello was a finishing treat.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

The service was very attentive, and our waiter, a fellow Ecuadorian...was very professional and friendly. We ordered staple tapas and dessert, and the food was very delicious. I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
