Through searching for Costco shutters number for ordering my shutters by mistake I placed a call the Gallery Shutter. the person on the phone named Myriam talked me into ordering from their company by saying they are local manufacturer and have competitive price or may be lower. I met with their representative named Tim McNulty and signed a contract for one shutter and wood blinds for three rooms. they arrived in 3 weeks as scheduled however instead of wood blinds for 3 rooms they send vinyl blinds so they have to take it back and scheduled for another 2 weeks. this time they brought wrong measurements for all 3 rooms so they have to reschedule for the 3rd time. Today they came with one shutter that i ordered for one room last visit since they had problem with the blinds but again they did not brought the wood blinds since they had the wrong ones. I finally agreed to keep the original vinyl blinds rather to make another appointment and made Tim to credit me with the difference. However the most disappointment was at the end when the installer put the final bill of 1102.38 dollars where my calculations from previous statement minus the discount for vinyl blinds is 802 dollars. he is trying every which way to convince me that i don't understand or it has added tax and more. finally he agreed to get the balance based my calculations but saying this is what i told you from the beginnig I am older adults female, but my brain works very well and I don't appreciate being manipulated by the company installer Hope this help others read more

REVISED. **August 18, 2019** The bottom line is. 1. Tim offered to correct the shutter problem and when he called to only correct one of three. What? Three windows facing the street all have the same problem caused by his miscommunication? Why would I want just one and two looking awful? 2. Tim should have disclosed the "offset" in the shutters. That was never told to me. If I knew the shutters would be "offset", I would have NEVER agree to order the shutters and spend a lot of money on them. I would have opted for a different type of window coverings. 3. I mentioned why it took me a while above At the end I declined Tim's offer of fixing the one out of three shutters. I will continue to have to answer my neighbors and guests why the shitters are "offset". I will have continue to look from the outside and inside at these misconfigured shutters that are "offset" until I can save more money to have them redone properly. read more

Love my shutters. I ordered shutters from them over 10 years ago but did not do the whole house. After remodel decided to put shutters in rest of the rooms. First the original shutters still look great and I am so happy we put them in. After years of the sun hitting them, I had a few slats that needed repair and they were able to replace those in my new install. Second, the new shutters look great. I can not tell which is new/old. The shutters held up great. I dusted them at least once a month and never put cleaning products on them. In regards to the order process Tim came out and measured everything and showed us the product. He made the recommendation to do a solar shade over the slider with a motor. I love it. I did make a change after Tim left to the order. He told me the blind was already made but will see what he can do. He was able to change my order without too much of a price difference. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gallery Shutters and I will use them again and again. I read some of the reviews before posting this and most of the 1 stars sounded like customer did not do their own due diligance when ordering shutters. I worked with Tim and he was great in letting me know everything before I ordered. The installer was great. So fast and efficient. read more

Let me start out by saying Tim, the owner is a real nice guy and knows what he is doing. I hired this company to put in pretend windows with mirrors inside, which I am extremely happy with. I had Tim at Gallery shutters also replace my existing folding closet door with folding mirrored ones and replace my sky light cover with shutters that you open and close which came out wonderful. We did have a few hiccups along this venture but Tim made sure to make it all right with me. I do recommend this company for any custom work involving shutters as they do an awesome job. I want to also mention that Gallery Shutters has the most affordable prices out there compared to other shutter company's I believe when it comes to shutters. After I signed the sales contract I had a few questions about the job and I never got a call back. I called three separate times and left a voicemail to Laura the salesperson who took the measurements but heard nothing. She also gave me wrong information about the install. I had concerns about being able to remove windows if they ever needed replacements. She assured me that even with an inside install (for shutters) I would be able to do it myself once it is installed. I asked the installer about this after he installed everything and he said that is not the case. He has to come out to take it out if I don't want to damage them. Of course I called Laura back and got no response. I would not recommend this company. Very poor customer service or none for that matter. They will be very attentive until you sign the sales contract. So move along and find another company. This is not it. read more

I'm happy that some of you got great shutters. However, after getting my slat back and the sample that trina sent me for approval, we've looked at the shutters and they are not walnut. The measurement was 56 1/4 and the shutters to include the frame is 61 1/2 long by 37 wide. they look big and bulky for a window that is 31 5/8 by 56 1/2. Tim left one of the hinges up. If they didn't want business from San Diego they should have said so instead of messing up my order. read more

First of all, my apologies to Tim and his employees. This review is WAAAAAAAY long overdue! When I moved into my new house in West Hollywood back in Sept of 2014. I decided to get new shutters for my two sliding glass doors as well as my bedroom closet. I got a few estimates from different companies and decided to go with Gallery Shutters. They were always on time for appointments and very helpful to me when deciding on types, colors, etc. of shutters. I never felt pressured or rushed. I finally decided to get sliding shutter doors for the glass doors and regular doors for my closet. The installation of the doors was very quick. It only took a few hours over a couple days. When the installation was complete, the shutters and installation were made to my exact specifications. I could not be happier with them! Almost 2 years later, the doors still look as if they were just installed yesterday and I am still enjoying them! They're SO much better than the old ugly vertical blinds that were there when I moved in.
