The new light fixtures I asked to have installed were sticking out of the wall because the prior fixture box was not in all the way, and cement had been put around the box to cover it up. Instead of completing the installation of the new fixtures on the old poorly done box and having them stick out, we discussed it, and he suggested that he could chip out the cement, which was not a simple task, and replace the boxes with "half boxes" that I would need to purchase. In the end, he was able to put the original boxes back in properly and install the new lanterns flush with the wall. Looks really good!

I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

The staff took the time to help us find a simple, but unique frame, and demonstrated the difference between normal and museum glass (usually we'd probably do normal glass, but in this case the museum glass was totally worth the splurge). We explained what our calligrapher had told us and they reassured us that they would be able to match the paper color and properly space the glass (and they did!). Was quoted two weeks: two weeks and two days later we received the promised call and home delivery in a well-protected package with easy hanging mounts pre-installed on the back with directions and the hardware we needed to hang it on our wall. PS. They have some pretty neat artwork for sale, many by local artists.

To be fair it did take a long time to wait for windows to arrive (14 weeks) but we were warned about waiting time in advance so they didn't try to deceive us on anything. People installing windows were fast, quiet (as much as it possible) and very clean. Covered our hardwood floors right the way, vacuumed everything after competing the job and left no mess outside either. I called them at 3pm on the day of their scheduled visit, and it was obvious they'd completely forgotten about me). Then their $400 estimate struck me as high, so I called Del Val. My Del Val contact, Mark, asked thorough questions. Both times his guys showed up (for the assessment and then the installation), it was within minutes of the scheduled time. Final repair cost me $195 - Mark's exact estimate - and the window looks great. Service guys were friendly and quick. The next time apocalyptic weather conditions affect my casa, I'm calling these DelVal first.
